TXT aren’t fixed on one genre, in total of their 41 songs they did 39 genres!!

for their sound, txt will do whatever concept/sound they think is necessary to tell their story of growing up, hence why songs like crown when they just debut quite young had a bright sound and as they go through the hardships of life they've had their "emo" phase for lack of better terms. Rock has always been present in the undertones of their music before so i'm sure it will always be there but the sound could change drastically as they grow and have different feelings to express or stories to tell.

Txt have been entering and doing different genres, and they are very versatile and good on it.

Cool reaction! Loved hearing your thoughts. Yeonjun is definitely a well-rounded idol and I admire that about him! Another standout for me this time around would have to be Beomgyu though. He's such a great performer with unbelievably good facial expressions. It's such a joy watching him perform because you can see how much he enjoys it himself. He also gets very into character which is something that always impresses me over and over again

they have a female performance director thats been working with them since debut but i've seen on their first ++line (its a behind the scenes content in their yt, recommend to watch) that there are male dancers teaching them for this album

Yes, they have rocky songs but Opening Sequence is more R&B with a contemporary dance. Thursday's Child is an upbeat pop/rock song with 80's sounds. TXT does many styles and that's why they're awesome! Not sure why the video had you confused. They're burying their old self after a break up and moving on.

For the rock sound, I personally don't think they'll be leaning into it all the time, but they'll no doubt revisit it and probably include rock elements once in awhile. TXT's pretty known for their diverse discography, so if it fits the direction of the album or the concept, they might decide to step away from the rock sound for some releases. Run Away had rock elements to it, and 0X1 and Loser=Lover as well, but title tracks like Blue Hour exist, so it probably depends. BigHit so far hasn't stuck their artists to one sound only, take BTS for example, so TXT will probably follow the same suit.
I do think BigHit and the members themselves are aware that they fit extremely well with the rock genre, so it'll probably be a staple in their albums, if not the title track then it's a bside, but they won't be scared to experiment with other genres as well if necessary.
And this got so much longer than I expected, but yes thank you again! I really enjoyed the commentary on the choreography. I think it's a pretty fresh choreography - fresh in a sense that it's not exactly what one would expect from the get-go after hearing the song.

i think their past music for the last comebacks and this comeback is leaning to rock/punk music is because they are in the angst/heartbroken era in their storyline. for 0X1 it's more of teen angst and like a unrequited crush, then loser=lover is depreciating era, and now they're mad or like accepting era bcs they're broken hahaha. I love your reactions. I agree Yeonjun is a really talented member of the group, he can do everything extremely well. He written all his raps in this album and members always speak about how valuable he is to them. Beomgyu is a great dancer too! I'm so glad you noticed how smooth he is.
Regarding the choreography, it might be their in-house choreographer, but they haven't clarified who exactly choreographed this. However, recently in a weverse interview, Yeonjun said he had some input in this specific choreography and they kept his suggestions. He mentioned how it needed something more raw and tough and (less rigid like the original was)
I recommend you watch the SBS good boy gone bad performance and also their comeback performance for good boy gone bad. The opening sequence live performance is a must watch! It's amazing.

I think the reason why their music leaning to rock is due to the feel & emotion of the music. Since they are portraying the turmoil of transitioning from youth to adulthood and heartache, it lends to a harder rock sound. That's my opinion at least 😊.

I really agree with you when you say Hybe always try to give something new to their group dance part, and as someone that has been listen to Kpop since BoA start promoting in Japan, and one of the reason I stay this long is because Kpop cooperate dance routine to almost all their songs, I saw a lot of groups come and go here, so after all these years, you kinda can predict that they will take this route for their dance, but then hybe came in and they just give a breath of fresh air for the dance part of Kpop. And Hybe group dance is so perfectly done it's so satisfiying for us to watch. Like, when some part came in it almost always caught me saying, I didn't know you can put this kinda move to this routine, and they execute it perfectly.
Anyway, thank you for appreciating them. Can't wait for more new content from you.

Their music has been pop through and through from debut to this (even if there are sub-genres of pop mixed in), it's just that they're really playing into the edgy aesthetic that resurged through tiktok these past couple of years, because they figured it sells well.
