Yes, Linda. Nowadays, public transports such as MRT and BTS have expanded which made it so much easier to get around Bangkok. Bangkok has changed rapidly in terms of infrastructure. I hope you enjoy travelling in Bangkok when you are here. Have a good trip and thank you for your appreciation and I hope the rain will stop pouring down every day soon.

You can search it on google. Just type "Silk Shop at The Old Siam Shopping center." SORRY for a late reply. 😔

Hi Amy. I'm from the Philippines. On my visit to Bangkok early next year, I am hoping to find good but moderately-priced Thai silk fabric in ivory/creme/beige color with minimal (preferably geometric) design/pattern, and am planning to bring it home and have it made into formal wear (suit). Would I be able to find what I'm looking for in Old Siam? Can you recommend other areas in Bangkok I could check out that sells quality Thai silk fabric? Thanks.

็Hi Temi Abad! I think The Old Siam is a well-known place for buying Thai costumes and Thai silk, however, for cheaper products, you can try Bang Lamphu Market. They are well-known for selling fabrics at reasonable prices. I hope this is helpful. You can search the word "Bang Lamphu Market" online. Alternatively, you can buy Thai silk and costume on Shopee which's the main online shopping in Thailand. There are many shops to compare online too.

Hi Amy, thank you so much for such a great vlog. I go to Bangkok most years, I will certainly now make sure I go to this plaza.

Yes, you should go there as there are many interesting places nearby as well such as Wat Phukao Thong or Golden Mountain Temple. You can ask locals there for direction. I believe it's within walking distance to get there. By the way, these days transportation and railway system in Bkk has expanded and reached so many areas. You can get to this place by MRT Samyod station and just walk across the road then you reach the destination. I hope you enjoy your time in Bangkok. I think this year because of the heavy rainfalls, I suggest that you come towards the end of the year or the beginning of next year. Cheers!!
