Never stop repairing Defender hey...... A part of fun! I buy oil and filters whenever they are on sale! I hope I can keep mine forever as well! Thanks for the video!
Hi Kabaotto emulsion...thats true you never stop working on defenders as there is something to do and its always worth having the oil and filters in stock..glad you enjoyed the video..regards Paul
P, Great Vid as always, to bring costs of oil down buy 20L drums, I halved the cost of servicing Peny and she uses fully synthetic stuff, have a peep at Smith & Allen oils, the vintage tractor mob and the later landy mob seem to like em
Hi Phil....it does work out a lot cheaper to buy the 20L drums of oil...i always try to get mine from Westway oils but will check out your recommendations..cheers mate
Great video thank you Paul. My official JLR 300 TDI manual has a specific sequence for the removal and refitting of the sump nuts, similar to cylinder head! Do you think it matters ? I'm doing this job as just built and flowed a new cylinder head for Peggy my pickup. I swirl polished the valves too and refinished the leading edge of exhaust valves, again for improved flow.
Hi..When i fit a sump i go from the middle of the sump on both sides and work backwards towards the outer bolts pretty much as you would torque down a cylinder head just so it pulls it square when it bolts up and then just go round and check torque on all the bolts..
@@All4Overland I think most vehicles are designed well, but then built to a cost. So if you strip it and build it how the engineers wanted you end up with good car. But not many have the patience or talent you have to do it so well.
Landrover Keep you on your toes... there is always something that needs fixing... 🤣 nice job, Paul 👍
Hi Rob...thats true there is always something that needs fixing on a Landrover..regards Paul

Good watch as always. I recommend the mahle filters. Better than fail parts 😂
Hi MegaNozman..Mahle filters are good but i just fitted what i had on the shelf..regards Paul
The time to worry is when they stop leaking, because that means there’s no oil in it 😂 Fingers crossed 🤞 the new silicon has fixed it 😎👍
Hi PG Tips...i am hoping the resealing of the sump has cured the leak but can you ever really stop a Landrover leaking oil? regards Paul

That's the good thing about landrovers they leek oil all over the chassis and makes it last twenty years instead of fifteen😂
Hi Shropshire Lad outdoors...that must the upside of a vehicle that marks its own territory lol..regards Paul
I've seen less oil on my dipstick than you've got under your whole truck.
Hi channelone4655...i am OCD about oil leaks so probably driving the wrong vehicles in that case lol..
