    I don't think these base skirmishes are good for the game, where enemies just pop up and do damage and vanish before you can get back. Being forced to stay in your base because a hero can backdoor you is no fun.
    Perhaps enemies shouldn't be able to TP out of another person's base? Or being in the enemy base puts your TP on cooldown for 10-20 seconds?
    Perhaps you get a faster TP when there are enemy heroes in your base.
    Perhaps for the duration of a TP home, all enemy heroes in your base are rooted (unpurgable and pierces bkb). The root ends when the TP ends (even if cancelled by the hero).
    Perhaps enemies should not be able to see that you are TPing back so that they don't know when they have to leave.
    EDIT: Perhaps TPing within a certain time period of attacking an enemy base should apply Assassin's contract, limiting the frequency of these skirmishes. (This would not apply if you defeat an enemy then TP)
    I think some kind of defender's advantage should be implemented so that if the defender is not occupied, they can always engage with the enemy in their base.

      Why? These suggestions all take away from the purpose of base-killing which is giving the game another aspect where it's not always the strongest arena 1v1 build that reaches the final fight and wins the game.

      @@lepe None of these stop an enemy from attacking a base. None of these stop multiple weaker enemies from overpowering the stronger enemy in their base.
      The fact that players are capable of harassing enemies like that without any risk allows a weaker enemy to disable a stronger enemy by the mere threat of such action without any significant danger to the weaker player. I believe attacking another person's base (especially a stronger player) should be dangerous. I believe when a weaker opponent can prevent a stronger opponent from playing the game without defeating them is a weakness in the game.
      Attacking a base still would have value, but you would have to be able to survive or conventionally escape a confrontation with the enemy.

      @@lepe With any of these changes, it wouldn't (in this game for example) stop the threat of the Jugg to the Pudge. What it means is that Jugg would have to be able to escape the Pudge using conventional means rather than just TPing out as soon as he sees Pudge is TPing in. Currently, all Jugg needs to be able to safely push the Pudge's base is know that Pudge is not nearby. Then, Jugg can run in, do a ton of damage, and TP as soon as he sees the Pudge TPing. The worst thing a game can have is a non-interactable devistating strategy.
      I believe Pudge (who is extremely strong in combat) should have a viable strategy that isn't sitting in his base doing nothing. For that to be the case, I think there needs to be some kind of defender's TP advantage.
      I do want to add that I don't think the way Jugg ended up beating Pudge was in any way bad. That was legitimate. The issue that I have is with the Jugg just showing up every time Pudge left the base and destroying a building in a non-interactable way, which made the final victory easier.
      This kind of thing is less of a problem in normal Dota, but you can't split the team in 1x6, leaving weaker heroes behind to hold up the enemies while the cores come back to clean up. Plus, in Dota, the defenders have a massive TP advantage. The base in normal Dota is MUCH larger with an uphill fountain area you can't have vision in. It is almost impossible to have vision everywhere, so the defenders can TP in to an area without vision and attempt to initiate on the enemy. Also, it is harder to have surprise attacks on the base in Dota due to backdoor protection.

    10:00 to 10:50 ish, if you need vision of a spot like that, you can micro your courier over the rock. From the 1x6 content I've seen, that seems like a somewhat important trick to know, since vision is important, and wards are limited. Thanks for the vids baumi, I hope this is useful to you!

    at one point he was offered the generic epic upgrade of getting 1% status resistance for every 10 Strength and...I don't think it would've helped, but he'd definitely get more value out of that upgrade than anyone else

    Maybe Xeno can add some traps for defending the base? An idea is a trap that, when the building get attacked, root all enemies in the base for 4 sec. Then the owner can tp back and fight the ratter.

    2nd legendary should be rot I think - dealing 2% HP as dmg is like 400 dmg :D also solves the problem with enemies escaping - pulls them closer.

    For 1x6 you should have a hill or high ground or something exclusive for Roshan in the middle. And ward cannot be placed on those exclusive high grounds

    I think it's important to judge the difficulty of a hook before you judge the hit rate. It's different when you miss an easy hook vs a hard one, but you shouldn't not throw the hard one because of it being likely to miss

    What if Xeno added a feature that made it so that vision on the Roshan area was delayed, so enemy players have less time to react. Would this sufficiently incentive Roshan attempts while encouraging activity in the center?

    Quick suggestion
    Since there are discrepancy between the pick rates of skills and the meta in 1x6.
    How about they implement banning of certain heroes/skills during picking. This will give opportunity to other skills/heroes to be picked. :)))

      This game actually had a similar rule, where we had to pick the worst builds of ours heroes, while Alchemist was banned, since he is one of the most annoying heroes.

    A way to make neutral consumables better would be to make it possible to use consumable items from the backpack. Obv. nothing else, just consumables.

    There it is, baumi's famous rambling about 1x6 roshan again. Imagine taking like a minute at roshan while hookwink was already there, then complaining that somehow "it's impossible".
    If there's always similar vision to here in normal dota's roshan pit for both teams, roshan could still be the right call if
    - you want to force a fight
    - you can kill quickly enough
    - enough (not all) of the enemy team is dead such that you aren't afraid of them
    Basically the exact same scenarios as now with slight tweaks.
    Similarly, regardless of whether vision is obstructed or free, it's almost never the right call to do roshan if you had to walk through then ignore the other team at the entrance of the pit.
    Yes, I'm claiming the first 3 are conditions you want to do roshan in 1x6, and the last one is when you do not.

      On the other hand, baumi's logic of being put in a weak position and therefore "impossible" seems to always apply to towers in normal dota doesn't it? Enemies always have vision at their towers, you are in a "weak position" because if you fight under enemy tower you have to tank tower shots, therefore (so long as tower shots are relevant) it's impossible to take towers?

      I mean Xeno agrees with me lmao, he also says that none of the top players ever go Roshan because it's just too risky. like think about it this way: in Dota you can outnumber opponents, you can have an incremental advantage. in 1X6 you can never outnumber, you can only match their numbers. however, you can get outnumbered, which is what always happens at Roshan.

      @@Baumi Even assuming roshan in all games above a certain level always despawns, a claim I'm not sure I believe, it could be due to riskiness or not being worth the investment.
      I doubt it's the former because I see a trivial solution to doing roshan safely albeit inefficiently.
      There's an amount of HP under which roshan can be taken without enough time for meaningful response.
      As well as that, roshan never heals. So rather than full on commiting from the start you can always whittle him down first.
      If you do this somebody else might full commit before you but at least you won't be risking a death.
      Further, even if you take for granted that top players literally never go for roshan AND it's because of the risks involved, it's not automatically true that the same can be said for your games.
      This is self evident because both yourself and your opponents have gotten roshan in a safe manner plenty of times across various games. It just doesn't involve killing roshan slowly while other players are already there while also having no kill threat on those other players.
