    My logo side was super super stuck I had to use leather and two screwdrivers one for the pivot and another for the logo screw to break it loose. Still got it done without stripping anything and the knife is even more gorgeous now! Excellent design. Damn good knife.

    Honestly bro I really don't like the hammer idea but to each his own. I personally recommend using either a electric woodburner type tool or a butane soldering pen and press it to the stuck screw for a few and then unscrewing it. May take a few times back and forth but it has never failed to work for me. I have been doing this for years and it even worked with some if the crazy strong white thread locker that some factories use.

      @@cwalker228 typically that's because pivot is not seated, make sure there's not a d shape pivot which can be in multiple ways, like civivi has a little tiny tab connected to one side of pivot and if it's not seated in place that will happen, make sure you release lockbar also when pushing pivot through

      I have the same issue on a sanrenmu with cross bar lock.
      Only one side of the pivot screw has a hole for a torx bit while the other is flat. So they're either internally connected somehow or have very strong locktite on them because the pivot screw can only turn like 20% on each side and then it locks up completely. I've tried putting a lot of force and still nothing. If I go any harder, I'll definitely strip the pivot hole.
      Don't know what to do and what exactly is going on.

    It's an important point like you said to NEVER used red loctite on any threads of a pocket knife that you will ever want to disassemble at some point, red is PERMANENT thread lock that the only way to break it requires taking a torch to the screw and heating it, which you don't want to do on a knife obviously.
    You need to use blue loctite, and even blue loctite is way more than strong enough to keep screws from loosening on their own. Even Blue takes a fair amount of force to loosen but at least it's not permanent.
    Even better is purple loctite, it's a low strength loctite, lower than blue and is great for knives, especially for the ones with the smaller, more delicate fasteners. I prefer purple honestly since it requires less force to loosen screws and it's still ample strong enough to stop them from loosening. But blue also works great.

    For years I used Shabazz’s disassembly videos for reference because as you were saying, every knife review he did had a disassembly video paired with it. It’s still is a really phenomenal resource for so many evergreen knife models and a lot of discontinued knives.
    Also slick em all is a great product, on top of using it for washers and detent balls, I actually use it in bearing knives with micarta because it won’t leak out into the micarta like oil based lubricants inevitably do around the pivot.

    I've been using a t7 driver on all my t6 screws and haven't had any issues so far. I'm guessing a quality t6 would work just as well but having the slightly bigger bit allows you to get them nice and tight

    • @Halluzinate
      @Halluzinate 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's because they're not fitting entirely into the torx screw. You're jamming a larger torx bit into the screw but only getting to a shallow degree vs a proper T6. This makes it easier to cam out, you want your bit as far into the screw as possible.

    • @NeevesKnives
      @NeevesKnives  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's not hard or difficult, you biggest issue will be the geometry of a pm2 it's like 20 though bte so depending on how low you set your angle will determine your difficulty, only because the precision has slim small stones so they are not going to remove material fast, typically they are sharpened 17 -15° per side you might wanna just do what you can to match the angle or slightly higher which will make it easier.

      Hi Jared, can you please let us know what and where you bought all of the tools in this video? ie: that bad ass little driver, the tool holder mat thingy, and anything else you think we might need. Thanx man.

    The new pocket clip has a different colour. Sorry, but that's ugly.

    I’ve watched a lot of your videos, so I do see value in what you’re providing. But, you knew a but was coming… Your OCD knife flicking is really a bit much and really distracting. I’m an older guy with a sizable collection Chris Reeve knives. If you know anything about Chris Reeve the man and his feelings about flicking knifes open and the people who do it you’ll get where I’m coming from. So maybe you could limit your flicking to under 20 per video, thanks 😉.

      Or perhaps you could watch a channel more suitable to your overly sedate snooty style. Definitely an overly critical comment for a genuinely useful video answering questions a lot of people are afraid to ask themselves to not sound ignorant.
      I would humbly suggest bobp63 that you take your snooty knives and attitude and take a long stroll off a short pier.
      Ignore the critics Neeves and do you. Thanks for the content.
      Flick away!!!!!!

      @@robertjones5542Well if you’re afraid to as question about a pocket knife I’d say you have bigger issues than my comments. Constantly flicking a knife often leads to many of the problems people have with them. I brought up Chris Reeve knives because Chris was VERY outspoken about calling out people for needlessly damaging knives by flicking them open. He was the first to encourage people to take apart their knifes and maintain them, hence why they provide tools to do so with their knives. The idea is to avoid creating the problem in the first place. But feel free to flick away and then watch videos on how to fix problems.

      Bugger off. Not afraid to ask myself, referring to others new to blades and discouraged by overbearing better than thou jerk offs like yourself. I don’t think so much of myself that I tell other people what to do with their over priced bougie pocket knives like a Sebenza. But in your case I will make an exception. Kindly install yours where the sun don’t shine and enjoy thinking your prissy opinions matter to anyone else.
