- 15 year old Karolina Protsenko is playing "Love Theme" from Cinema Paradiso (originally by Ennio Morricone) as soloist with «Orchestra Nova LA». Karolina is playing on a Carl Becker violin Chicago 1937.
Big thanks to Karolina's violin teacher Sam Fischer for nourishing her musical talent and being a great classical violin mentor for her. Thank you so much to the orchestra and great conductor Ivan Shulman.

She's no longer that little girl we all know. She's a young woman who has created a wonderful and flavorful identity, a signature all of her own. It feel so wonderful to have been a part of her journey and to be able to enjoy the anticipation of the wonders that are yet to come from such talent. It has been a huge thrill to watch Karolina‘s career develop over the last few years! She and her music are definitely one of the bright spots in my life along with my wonderful granddaughter, who is learning to play the violin. Wishing Carolina and her family a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! It’s amazing to see this wonderful musician playing with the full support and earned respect of an orchestra. From her early performances eight years ago in churches, to her awesome performances for the public in the streets to this breathtaking performance Karolina never stops impressing us with her great talents. Like Julio Iglesias sing “…de niña a mujer…” she has changed “from a girl to a woman” right before our eyes and I can’t help but to admire her. Karolina, may God’s angels always guide and protect you while His will continues to bless your music career.

By the markings on the floor, this is a basketball gym. Absolutely amazing the orchestra and Karolina sound that good. High ceilings and hardwood isn't conducive to good acoustic. Proves the orchestras professionalism and Karolina's genius. BRAVO!!

It would have been a great pairing. Karolina would have done well with Ms. Janeckova along with Ella Protsenko on piano. Just the three of them. She does really well working with others. She makes everyone better.
Your street performances are great, but hearing you play in a venue such as this is just amazing. To me, the violin truly inspires the original use of the word empathy. I feel it through my entire body and mind. It invokes such feeling.

Beautiful way to begin the New Year. Karolina spreads the love and gives recognition to this deserving group of talented musicians. One thing I am left with from this past year is that there should be more collaboration between classical and Pop (contemporary) music. Karolina's work with Ray Chen made that perfectly clear. Chen's short version of a "pop" song was extraordinary. Imagine what could be done with other music some feel outside of the classical genre? It would create more opportunity for classical musicians and improve the quality of music overall. Karolina's work alone has brought recognition to the potential of contemporary music - 8.23m subscribers on this channel alone and more than 10m overall. My hope for the year ahead - Karolina does the same thing within the time frame available to a talented young women still developing in so many ways. There are not many who can meet the expectations of so many but if anybody can, it is Karolina.
