    Gorgeous. Can you make this without the heat lamps? Longer soak?

    Broooo this turned out SO good! I’ve seen the same grace floating around at a shop(orange ish with the purple stamp) and always wondered how it would dye. Keep up the killer content buddy!

      Thank you so much! I am always nervous dyeing colored discs that aren't ESP, but this took the yellows and reds like a champ!

    Great work. I’ve been trying to mimick this for a while and always wondered how you did it. I was experimenting a lot with cup pours and and got a similar outcome but Ive gotta try this now, this is sweet !!

    I have been trying to get chameleon cells working for some time! Thanks so much for the tip on WD-40!

      Totally! I had the same issue with lots of silicone oils not working and randomly tried WD-40...mind blown away! But I do hear the 3 in 1 silicone works even better. Still waiting for mine to arrive but I've linked some in the description if you wanna check it out. Good luck with the chameleon dyes though!

    Looks like I need to transition from buying discs to buying some stuff to start dying my inventory. Would like to hang them up on my wall and have a few glows between them. Hoping to get the u.v stuff figured out. This looks to be plenty satisfactory though so I'll likely be trying to match what you've got going here. Great job.

      I'm not sure....but you should try it out and see how it works! Also, any other type of paint pouring medium should work.

      It is definitely available at Dulux paints and it is considerably cheaper there than ordering it through Amaz@@.

    This video actually gives me confidence i can achieve smthn. Are the heatlamps mandatory, or would it just take longer without?

    • @KobOneArt
      @KobOneArt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      usually a disc has to sit for at least 24 hours with no heat... with heat, like 3 or 4... and it locks in the colors more vibrant and crisp. Home Depot has heat lamps for $14, and my bulb was $9. Hope that helps!

  • @SomewhatSkating
    @SomewhatSkating 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This looks so sick! Quick question, do you have to re-apply the WD-40 on the pick at all or do you just spray the whole thing once and that lasts for the whole time?

    • @CellularDyes
      @CellularDyes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good questions. Usually one spray does half the bed. So 2 sprays in total

  • @luuhax
    @luuhax 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    How strong did you mix the colors? Wondering how much powder to put in relation to floetrol

    • @CellularDyes
      @CellularDyes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think my ratio is 1/2 teaspoon per 4oz of floetrol...

    You never mentioned the dyes being mixed with floetrol. I've already got my disc in the mix and setting for 2 hours already. I was wondering why mine didn't look like yours bc I did exactly like the video. -_-

  • @DaksDiscGolf
    @DaksDiscGolf 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    So what are the steps?
    1) pour the floetrol
    2) add the dye
    3) pull the saranwrap
    4) poke with pick
    5) use torch to activate
    Then just drop the disc In?
    Love the result!

    • @CellularDyes

    My question is regarding the yellow you are using. It is so pale in the video. I have used Bright Yellow mixed with Lemon Zest and Dandelion on its own. I have several other yellows, but nothing looks like this. Hints? Oh, I think I answered my own question. The only yellow I do not have is Sun Yellow, and I think that is a pale yellow. Alas.

      You can also try the 3 in 1 silicone I have linked in the video. Lots of people have success with that.

    • @bakerby
      @bakerby 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Today I was using 3in1 and was having zero success. I just added some silicone oil and Dimethicone oil to the mix and got my cells.
