Always wondered why 91 topps is totally unlike any other topps set regarding the amount of errors. Was topps taking a page out of 89 fleer and 90 donruss playbook seeing how popular errors were? Back then, they kept printing through the year and reported production was over 4 million of each card. Maybe topps thought they'd have to continuously keep interest and Demand high in order to sell that much. If so, they were wrong as interest in errors by 91 was gone.
Hello, I found new variation card that you might like to check into. It is the Allen Trammell All Star card. The number on the back, the 4 has some of the pink/maroon color in it and some cards don't. If there is a way i could send you a photo of it, let me know a way (if you haven't found any yet.
There is a an issue with these cards having some pink in the card #. Some the pink ink going around the border can bleed into the card number. Here's and example I found. I'm assuming you mean card #389. www.ebay.com/itm/335477325929?epid=2327016712&itmmeta=01J4G6QKFYJEAX3R0THQC1PJ9K&hash=item4e1c01c069:g:T7MAAOSwuctmjHg0&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA0K1b8iY7CbSPpeLGN7b%2B9%2FKVsPuW2i0Pz%2FMf65XjaY%2F%2BbDcGAC9i4K3xZ1SGzUx3vsY6uRDT3N%2Bk4Lmq%2FVsqV2QlrDiLUh9SwcAqBYxOTMsJ%2F8VljQKtRJH%2Fc3iKSN7YsYFWVhopHJPmvrof7XsgScUyrHVJ1iAEZ3ZPC8EWoc%2BPLqvVqNZnt%2BPtYR07HTDM7ZqGtBuDoJhkZETnVIS5CbVseZ1xfhwkszQxedK4jDlF7lWYjycHlwnobe5BHFqPc7wDFTx%2Bo%2FdN2WPTMfVe7VM%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR4y43oakZA But I'm aware of what "4" you're talking about. I don't think this card is going to make you rich, but still cool.
Quick question, for Randy myers at 15:16, why does one say Washington, and the other says wash. (Short for Washington) lol. But I seen other cards same year and all and they both say Washington and Washington? Lol
Very informative. Thanks!
Thanks man!
@@Hungryman97sCollectibles You know I'm the kind of guy who has to collect all the variations and errors.. 😀
Awesome stuff man
Thnx!!
91 Topps was such a huge set. I built a 1991 OPC set back in 1993 complete with 11 Chipper Jones.
I should really get all the OPC junk wax sets! Very cool.
great video.
Yes! Thnx dude
With the amount of errors variations in this set, I'm surprised this video isn't part one in a 5 part series 😂
@@mikefata6692 you'll notice I never did quote the amount of total variations. I'm thinking it's gotta be 4000-5000 total.
Thanks alot Hungryman for doing this video for me it's greatly appreciated !! Keep up the great videos
Wow! Thnx. I enjoyed making it.
Having an aspirin collection on hand is recommended while building a 91 Topps master set.
You ain't kidding! Jokes aside, I will never try to build one.

I think you summed it up well. I guessed they wanted to get in on the excitement of a "rabbit-hole" set.

I got the hard hitten mark whitten error.
I gotta get me one!
So are the error cards in this set worth anything ?
@joeradke7522 not much. Except for the Mark Whiten "hand over border". It sells for close to $20.

Good catch. Your guess is as good as mine though. I would think they abbreviate it sometimes so the words fit.
