Your hubby is so sweet to go to Walmart to get the Hally Kitty & they didn't have it & he went back & finally got it. I just love a man who can take directions. You are one lucky lady. Can't wait to see the video at end. Just love your stitching & you are one terrific lady. Oh, happy halloween (may I be one of the first to say "trick or treat").
I love to see your dogs when you start your video. They are so cute! I pretty much stitch on one project at a time and so each day that I work on my pattern, I use a different hi-liter so that I can easily count my stitches for that day. Then I write that total on mu calendar. It always surprises me when I count because the number is so much higher than I think it will be because I didn't think the area was very big. I hope you get your air conditioner sorted out. Living in CT, I didn't think we'd ever need AC, but it has been so hot and humid in the last 10 years or so, that we now have AC. Thank you for sharing your sampler patterns. I love when you share with us.
Hi Deana. So nice to visit with you again. I am so far behind in my flosstube video viewing. I love your samplers. The ghosts are adorable. Now to go catch up on your videos. Have a wonderful week. ~Pam
Oh my gosh! I nearly wet myself watching Tootie and Hannah at the end of this video! They were both hilarious!I have pets of my own and I know just exactly how they can be. And some days...I'd rather deal with pets than people. lol! I was watching another video and as soon as I saw yours come up I stopped the other one and started watching yours right away. You and the pups are the best! Hope you get your bedroom done soon and your back gets better fast. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Deana! Great progress on the Big Red Ship of Life. I liked the sampler charts - I do love The Drawn Thread designs. I have two of their designs (none that you showed) on my sewing room wall. I laughed at the dogs' antics at the end of the video! Thanks for including that! Hope you are feeling better and that your husband's recovery is going well.
Thanks. The scroll frames video at the end was part of a video I made and then never posted. It ended up being a fiasco with the dogs. I'm still planning on making a new one telling about the different scroll frames I have. You will get all the info in it. Thanks for watching
Love that Halloween cat! Great progress on your WIPS. You have some older treasures in your Sampler designs. I would like to find some of the Abby Rose designs, do you know where? I know she was ill & doesn't design anymore. The Pups are too cute! Marilyn
Thanks. Yes I have charts probably for close to 40 yrs. I think to find Abby rose designs I would just Google Abby rose designs cross stitch every once in a while.
From what I understand the samplers from the old days was something a girl or I guess it could be a boy. They would stitch letters and numbers on fabric to show their needlework skills. Alphabet and numbers were then used to stitch names on family clothing and household items. They would refine their skill by making them too. Sometimes they would also add specialty stitches. Thanks for asking.

Tootie says Hi Robin!
What is the definition of a Sampler? What makes something a sampler?
