As someone who travels to Korea every 1-2 years, thank you so much for making this informative video!! Since the Korean Air & Asiana merger might be happening soon, I would love to see the Korean Air video as well. Thanks Max!
In September I’m going to Japan and South Korea so what I did was book a rewards flight from Tokyo to Seoul via Delta operated by Korean Air on Business class for only 15k points. I used my Amex card for that. So if you’re doing the same route I highly recommend doing that!
@@ximengtang6731 I had delta points laying around as well that would never be efficient enough for a long haul flight or a domestic flight in the states. So for me personally it wasn’t a waste 😊
@@ximengtang6731 and it’s only 15k points. I have a lot of points (almost 500k) so again not a waste for my lifestyle and for the amount of points I have accumulated.
would love to see you do a video on korean air!! if i’m not mistaken, they only do travel points/miles through a separate korean air credit card, so would love to hear your strategies especially because of how expensive tickets are😊
Hands down you are one of the best when it comes to finding awards and maximizing points. I've learned lots and got some great tips from you. Great vid Max💥
Korean Air seems nearly impossible to book for. I’ve tried since my parents prefer them much more over Asiana, but they seem to never really provide award space with partners. If you have any luck though, that would be interesting to see
great video. but Asiana does not fly into Las Vegas? they used to fly into Chicago, but I guess that's gone. They do fly into Honolulu. Also, Air Canada and Singapore are both transfer partners for Amex and CapOne as well, which makes it easier to earn necessary miles.
I struggled finding an award flight to Seoul from Chicago. Ended up repositioning to Vancouver for an Air Canada business class flight. I couldnt find asiana availability when i looked at other cities.
Great video! By far your videos are the best. Concise, clear and the destination are actually really popular for many people Any tips on finding 3 or more seats? I am a family of 3 and always have issues finding more than 1 seat on reward flights
Also a key thing about these award spaces is that you need to act fast otherwise they will be taken by others and you are now stuck with Air Canada miles for no reason
Great video! How far in advance do is best to find award avail on Asiana? Looking in May/June 2025 and can't find any. Am I too late or they haven't released yet?
Hello Max , thank you for this great info video! I am so curious about using Korea Airline from Dulles to Seoul. Also trying to see if Amex gold or other credit card gives the benefits!
Great concise breakdown Max! OZ seems to have really scattered availability around, but unfortunately most if not all are for 1 seat only... If only there were more options! In terms of booking, would the best way almost always be Aeroplan given the points required? And what about using ANA, or do they not see OZ partner space?
Ana sees OZ award space but you need to find round trip award space. As of yesterday they released award space from LAX to ICN with up to 8 seats for October 2024
Happy new year Max! I found your channel because of the KLM/Ari France Redemption videos. Thank you for making those useful and easy to understand videos. How can I join your online video course? The enrollment is closed right now. Thank you!
Asiana does indeed have a non-stop flight from LAS to ICN. But it's scheduled to end on January 8, 2024 🥲 This is the last bookable flight (for now) ⬇️ www.google.com/travel/flights/s/rTavuhfUToHNWd9U6
Can you add more detail on your partner identifier tool? Such as "usual" taxes and fees, and cancellation/change policy? I may not care to save some points, if I'm paying $$$ in fees, and they don't allow changes or cancellations.
Can you compare your experiences in country Korea vs japan? I love japan, and want to try Korea but have heard it’s harder to get around and more expensive but I honestly have no idea.
I'll consider it as an upcoming video! But yes, you are right. Korea is harder to get around and less foreigner-friendly. Even though Korea is a lot of fun, tbh I'd pick Japan over Korea
The do similar things but different. Seats.aero finds the award space and is using cached/scrapped data from a few airlines point.me is running the real time award searches on 33 different airlines for example if I search for a flight on Seats.aero it's pulling data from 3 star alliance ariline. Whereas Point.me is searching around 6 star alliance airlines and running the real-time award availability. I like to use Point.me as my shopping tool. Find the saver award space on Seats.aero and then use Point.me to shop the award space around to see what other airlines are charging for the same flight so I don't have to go to each individual airline's website and search

Really? So who would you choose between Asiana or Korean air?
Very comprehensive overview of a high value redemption, as per usual! Will definitely watch a Korean Air video if you make it.

It’s a 1-2 hour flight and the cash cost for economy should be $100. Why you waste points on that.

Hey, Max! S. Korea is always a great trip. Looking forward to going back in 2024! And yes, business class is the way to go (it's a long flight lol)!
My friend, you are a beast. Thanks for this video!
Glad you liked it!

Literally searched Max Miles Seoul yesterday lmao 👏

Please also make a video for Korea Air 😊

Just booked Asiana business on their A380 from LAX for September
Nice! The just released a bunch of award space today for next october!
Thanks! Please do one for Korean Air! ❤
Also a key thing about these award spaces is that you need to act fast otherwise they will be taken by others and you are now stuck with Air Canada miles for no reason
Let's digging for Korean Air too bro!
Can you make another video with Korean air please
Def would love a Korean air one!
Would love to see a Korean air video!

I would so much appreciate it if you can do a video on Korean Air. Thanks (>__
I still didn't get it?
How is Airline Transfer Partner Identifier sheet different from Mile and Points Dashboard tool 2.0? I have Miles and Points Dashboard tool 2.0.
I love this video ❤❤❤
Korean air please!!!! 😁😁😁
Korean Air has the direct flight not LAS.

I wonder what will become of Asiana with the anticipated Korean Air merger in 2024.
hopefully it doesn't happen so we can still have a star alliance option to get to Seoul. Booking skyteam airlines like Korean Air is kinda tough
Max , for the seat selection do I need to call Asiana airline to book it ?
Can you do maximize Korean Air from DFW-SGN and back?
Korean Airlines Please
Nice
Can I message you directly and help me go through it?
Max just curious if you still do the course from your website? Ty
Hey! I currently don't because it needs to be updated. But will make it available again when I get to updating it

Hey thanks for the suggestion. I'll think about how to possibly work that into it and whether I know enough about spreadsheets to accomplish that haha
Is Asiana airline only travel out of Seattle?
Delta, Asiana and Korean Air all fly from SEA to Seoul
