Even though the sound quality is weak here, this video shows Emily at her improvisational best. In particular from about 1:56 to 3:30 she is accompanied by the rhythm section of the orchestra, and really gets into the improv. Clearly she really enjoys doing this for "Satin Doll". I have checked other YT renditions of Satin Doll by famous jazz pianists, including Oscar Peterson, and she is close if not as accomplished as these greats. Note her especially cool variations on the Satin Doll theme at 3:40-50, and again around 4:10. I also like the echo with the orchestra at 4:20, and the finale where she is all smiles!
