    Original Proknee 17 plus years!!! I rebuild mine every 5-6 years. The best, most comfortable ever period. I went through many type I got tired of broken straps and pads creeping down when you get up to walk. Yeah there a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I never have a sore back or knees. Time tested, proved and approved. 👊

    If your getting the pro knees you gotta get the shin and ankle foam too, it really helps the constant adjusting

  • @deeeeeeps

    The brace on the Pro-knee is not only to support the weight put it takes weigh off your knee and puts it on your shin. I had a set for 8 years doing base and tile. I just replaced them with a new set.. everything was worn out but still working! Very happy to pay $200 for 8 years of excellent protection.

    I have a set of pro knees ap16. I use them for everything, they are very comfortable but kind of bulky like you said. I found that if I cross the straps and then attach them they don’t slip down. Really like the quick disconnect straps. Great video, I like hearing your input.

    The problem is the strap that will hurt the back of your knee if you're on your knees for too long. So i prefer rolling knee pads for large floors and a regular strap knee pad if i won't be on my knees for too long or in tight areas.

  • @askthisoldtileman5401

    Good review,but as we know nothing really work.back in the days they made knee pads were you can seat back and there was no pressure on the knees. But it did not work in tight spaces.

    Ive been Using Snickers for years they came out with a dense rubber one not long ago that im using now and it seems pretty good. I used to find the straps bunch up and annoy me and the Velcro strapped ones got much on them and they were not much use after that .
    Those white ones do look Comfy for sure but at the same time would be annoying because of the weight,.
    So for me as i wear Snickers there pads are perfect as i always have protection on me because there is noting worse than kneeling on a bit of tile.!!

    Just got these tough built TB-KP-G3 knee pads that come with a thigh support. Harbor freight for 53 bucks. I’m excited to try them because they are so comfortable. I’ve used soft pads from Tom Duffy for some time. After grouting a courtyard at a large hotel on thick clay tile, my pads got really worn. So I’m gonna try these out. And let you know after some jobs

    • @seannelson3699
      @seannelson3699 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      alright it has been a month with these new pads. They have thick plastic cover which helps against anything sharp. Just above that plastic is a thick gel pad which, in my opinion, is better than the Troxell extra large knee pads. The added brace for the thigh gives my knees support as well. All in all I really like these and will comment again when they need to be replaced. I have had knee surgery on a torn meniscus and acl as well, so I am very picky when it comes to knee protection.

    Got my Platinum knee pads in '08, still using them today despite needing replacement. I buy cheaper ones and can blow them out in 1-2 jobs. Then I go back to my old Platinums. 3" of high density foam plus a gel pack. And in the $50 range. They would destroy all but the ProKnee pads in this video.

    Have used pro knee for over 10 years after having knee drained 3 times in one month. Mine go from top of knee to top of foot. Can work on knees for hours. Their secret is putting pressure on shin not knee. Yes pricey but we'll worth the money.

    These knee pads really are not ideal. I know because it does not matter how great the knee pads is, the straps will start digging into the back of your leg. I eventually unloosen the straps and sit my knees inside the pad. I've changed my whole outlook after using a stupid foam pad that looked like a small surf board. It was very comfortable, However, I lost it and could not find another. It was only when I was at home Depot that I came across THE ANVIL Pad. It has a plastic base with handles and a 1 1/2 inch pad on it. They are made for cement workers but do just as good inside. I still use my knee pads but only during fast pace work like installing laminate or grouting. Laying tile is much slower so I use it for that, or cutting trim, and so forth.
