Does Bachmann still make and sell these?
I don't think so unfortunately. Though you may be able to buy the models second hand.
All my Bachmann trains spin the rear gear it is just when not if and their big hauler cars lock up when run more than 60 minutes, I have had problems getting good rear drive gears and it is not easy to fix
