Car review: Nissan Navara Tekna Double Cab

Pick-up trucks may not be everybody's first choice when it comes to choosing a new towcar but the latest Nissan Navara has so much going for it that it deserves serious consideration. There's a copious amount of room to transport people and camping gear while the performance and towing ability are much improved on previous models. Lesley Harris jumped in the driver's seat to put it through its paces.

The older models had a problem with cracking chassis
Has this been addressed?

Hi. Our tester says the chassis problems relates to the previous Navara D40 built between 2005 and 2015. There is no evidence of any such incidents with the new Nissan NP300 Navara.

Have they fixed the issue of the transmission coolers leaking and clutches that feels a bit too small for a vehicle this size, making it a bit more difficult to pull"?

Why review a vehicle that is already two years old, when the 2021 model has just been launched?

Hi. The model tested was launched in late 2019 so was just over a year old when tested. It was also the latest model available to test. Hopefully we will be able to review the 2021 model when it becomes available.
