Generally the rule is just atk/def/hp for substats, it gives the most cc. But for some specialised content like guild bosses if you're trying to get the best possible scores you may have to change that.
I tried chandler with Ggowther Margaret and green Arthur and because I'm f2b my chand and Arthur is not lvl 90 and full super awaking but even with that chand had the power to one shot him (with lvl 3 buff and counter of course) for the first three phase but I never beat phase 4
When I started playing I used to use Red Hostess Eli a lot for healing cuz she had a heal card and her passive healed 10% of max health on everyone so *maybe* she could work?
I hope this wont be like a mode where f2p will struggle and not be able to do it and only whales will be ables to do all 3 stages which will just make it pay to win. So hope it wont be a p2w thing
Im pretty sure they do not have magical ZIP to just lower difficulty whenever they want. What they can do on the other hand, is rebalance it before update come out, and just make it harder after see that on the stream they win too much easly xD

The idea is probably to farm stage 1 to get the relics for the 4 characters you’ll use to fight him and then go into stage 2 and 3 with them.

Green SSR Elizabeth is the way, isn't it? She removes buffs and has a lot of healings and fills the other dps units for ults

Try gowther instead of one of them to upgrade your meli cards and only use level 3 single targets with meli
