- Oklahoma Softball and Texas Softball played in the the first game of the Women's College World Series Finals in the 2024 College Softball Season.

The best part of my work as a TH-camr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other TH-camrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Big surprise - OU beating TX again after spanking them in the B12 conference game. When it comes to softball I think the SEC is going to regret inviting these to into the conference......
We all know that softball wasn’t the main sport they wanted them to join for. Football is why these schools were accepted into the SEC

imagine the Big-12 commissioner Brett Yorkmark watching the world series knowing the main attractions and the two faces of the Big-12 will be leaving after the academic-athletic season is over. and then thinking who would be the next frontrunner of the conference.
The new powerhouse of the conference is pretty clear.

@@kalebstuckey570 And yet OKST keeps bombing every time they get to the WCWS. It's very clear that once OU and Texas leaves. The BIG 12 isn't gonna have a spotlight in the WCWS championship game for a WHILE!! And The BIG 12 will take a big hit from it.
So most likely the SEC is going to get the spotlight in WCWS championship game for now on.

So the BIG 12 will get hit very hard by the move. Because more likely, the WCWS championship game spotlight is going to favor the SEC more often.

Yeah as a Texas fan, congratulations to OU and their 4 peat. Texas bats just have been non existent, even against a pitcher who threw for over 100 pitches yesterday and then again today.
Have faith, were their bats non consistent, yes, but I’m sure it was nerves, almost half of this team hasn’t been in the championship game like oh has. It’s one game, Texas was making a slight comeback but mistakes got in the way of it. They aren’t going to make the next game easy at all. They just gotta clean up their mistakes, make good pitches and hope that the umps will make good calls (for both sides ofc) but again have faith in the longhorns cus it’s far from over!
as as ou fan I'm worried today. Maxwell is the best pitcher we have. even though I like may she is not consistent at all. I think Texas will definitely give us a run for the money today when they have nothing to lose.
@@17hatters we will see, I definitely want this to be a 3 game series. It will bring the views and the fans. Not too mention it’s a big f you to the big 12 since both teams are going into the sec in July. What better way to end it than having it a 3 game series
Plate ump had a bad day.
OU has statistically dominated the 5 games between the teams. The scores were
OU 5 UT 2
OU 1 UT 2
OU 1 UT 2
OU 5 UT 1
OU 8 UT 3
That gives a 5 game total of
OU 20 UT 10
OU has also had collectively almost twice as many hits as UT. Even in the two in Austin UT won 2-1, the horns never had more hits. In one game each team had 6 hits and in the other OU outhit UT 6-3.
Anything could happen these next two games, but based on the prior five games, OU looks like a solidly better team.

On both sides. I was there, and am an OU fan. The strike zone was very inconsistent for both teams which was very frustrating.

I believe Stevie Wonder could have been a better ump than this guy, batters got a lot of help, some of those batters should have not been able to hit those long balls because they should have been called out on strikes. that was horrendous he should be ashamed. I'm glad he won't be at the plate for the rest of the series.
Would like to see if OU would have accomplished what they have if they didn’t always have home field advantage. These games should be played in different locations every year. People are tired of seeing the same thing every year. College women sports suffer enough as it is.
