u understand right there are ways to tell the game ur using a switch but your using m&k or controller right. there are videos on it!! Just have to find them

it is, all the bugs you saw in this are actually pretty common and i've gotten them all before, but it's not too bad because they're mostly graphical bugs, nothing game breaking.
Mine wasn't this bad when I used to have a switch
As a daily Switch Player i know the true pain of 30 fps, what i like to call "the lightshow" and my switch randomly saying theres a Software error at least 3 Times a week.
And of course the TRIANGLE BUG that i even forgot to mention with how common it is for me😅
It's ture tho it's hard but can br fun to poop on some sweats 😅

I have that right now, total, I'm a switch main, I am one of the few that can actually do 250 kills a day, I'm#1 switch player on my main

I miss Apex Mobile SOOOOO MUCH man, my s21 ultra hooked to a backbone on an hour long lunch break at work was a godsend. Until they ripped it from us cold blooded. Now I play warzone mobile which is a FRACTION of the fun
Don't ask how he did it, but I had a 3rd that played on switch. His time playing Borderlands, Splatoon, and BoTW payed off cause he was a great anchor player for us in Arenas; Miss those days.

I was a switch player from season 8 to season 19. I got pretty good at it. My only issue is the not stable frame rate. 30 is fine for me but it’s not a constant 30. Also gyro is by far one of the best ways to aim
as a previous switch player (hand held, gyro aim) this is SO fun and funny to watch bc the struggle was incredibly real lmao. i got diamond in my last season that i played on switch!

Gryo on fps games can feel just as precise as a mouse, just with different muscle memory since you are working with a Z axis and moving on an open space so it always feels weird.
I've played almost 1000 hours on handheld switch OLED. Maybe ive gotten used to it, but I don't get the hate for switch apex. The zoom out is one of my biggest problems with apex on other consoles. I feel like I can't see anything. And the four buttons that replace the d-pad are directly under the l-stick on switch is essential to me. Xbox has it off to the right, it's so hard to use.
Played multiple Apex games one Switch, using the Pro controller is highly suggested lol.
I played apex on Switch since season 8 and hadn’t switched over to my PS5 until cross progression finally became a thing.
the switch is a struggle, it’s definitely more suited for Mario kart and animal crossing, but if you wanna do future challenges on the switch, thermites and marksman weapons (especially the 30-30) are your friends.
I literally played switch handheld apex for like 700 hours and now I have a Pc. The memories of crunchy graphics feels nostalgic LOL.
This brightens my day because i use to grind apex on the swtich, made it up to lvl 400 plus before getting a ps5. the switch to it was nice, but tbh there something about playing apex on the switch that just does me over wanting to play it again.
Thank you and whoever told you about the Tokyo servers. I just tried it for my first time today and i feel like I’m at home. Everyone is on equal footing and since I’ve spent so much time on crossplay I feel like a god now lol even tho there was a pred champ I still won in Solo Q

I tried it once and the fact you can’t change fov is so bad😂. I didn’t mind the frames at the time bc I played Fortnite on it beforehand.

I started playing Apex on switch with my friend when it dropped, and soon after we started i became the only one still on switch. One friend played PC, and another one ps4, and i was still somehow able to hit Plat, while they were Gold.
I played on switch for around 3 years. recently i got a laptop that can play on, it can only do 60 fps but i was shocked just how much better the games looks on pc, switch just makes everything looks so grainy and while i didn't really notice the fps improvement too much, if i go back to the switch i certainly notice the fps drop. it's honestly painful to play it now i know how much better it is on pc. i am proud of the badges i managed to get on switch because of that, though.
Switch can be overclocked to 60 fps

First time I've seen a camera quality higher than the actual game quality
As a switch player, the default joycons are hot garbage, I use the split pad pros with thumb grips and it's what gets me through😭😂

As someone who plays it on the switch yes it sucks I play it in handheld mode on my lite I deal with stick drift all the time but I suck it up because it is the only way I can play with my friends and just have a good time I hope you see this Kandy love you videos man

I played 700 hours on Switch before I had a gaming PC, and then a little while after because I got an heirloom on Switch. Was really happy to switch off when cross progression arrived, but it was perfectly playable for a long time.
Also one thing you didn't account for when saying if Apex was acceptable on Switch: I probably wouldn't have been playing it if I wasn't playing with friends, but I think it's great for more people to be able to play with their friends even if it's a markedly subpar experience. Now that there's cross progression at least you can get away from it someday.
Ngl I am a switch player on apex ands it’s not that bad but man when playin with the switch controller it gave me a hard time to aim and do certain things in game, but then decided to use a ps5 on the switch along with a Bluetooth usb port so it would be able to connect to the switch and bro I play like any other player on console but also the frames at first they’re bad but once you get used to it you won’t even be able to tell the difference between the first time on playin on the switch and playing fr a good min on this kind of console, btw love your vids bro love the content you out 😎🔥

Also, as far as what the switch runs apex at, its 1080p Dynamic resolution, so itll drop to 480p, the frames will drop to basically nothing, and your FOV is 60. Lower than you can set it on PC or other consoles.

I got Apex on switch because I had no other choice, I didn’t own another console stronger than it, but I was content with. Sure I was frustrating with like latency, ping, chop moments, but then again this I switch, and I didn’t mind the tone down view. I will say the render distance was hard to play around because really I would avoid far away fires if I couldn’t see them
Recently after getting the OLED, I haven’t redownloaded Apex due to the recent events and now I have a PC I technically could but haven’t played with anyone in a while and I play by myself

i feel like there is work that could be done to get it working better. But that means removing ALOT of detail. only thing they cant change is skins i guess, because money, I would honestly have textures running at pretty much minecraft levels just to get a stable 720p 30 fps experience.
As a switch player with 251 kills on octane it’s very hard to get even 1k in a match I rely on my teammates so much
There is even a draw back to grenade because the screen is to small to see where the grenade lands ive missed so many arcs and thermites
Kandy, I know this is a long shot, but is there any chance that you’d be willing to shine some light on Dirty Bomb, for old time’s sake? It’ll likely be difficult to record some gameplay due to the minuscule player base, but maybe you’ll find a sever to play on to do so. Dirty Bomb was/is such an underrated game, and deserves the recognition and maybe making a video will help boost its player base, I’m not sure. Anyway, I’ve been a big fan since your Dirty Bomb days and still are, to this day! Take care, ‘Rew.

i started apex on the switch back in 2021 plus I only played with my friend who was also starting but they were on PC... lol I played like that for a year idk how but I did
The frame rates are the worst part about it. It took me months, but I tuned my setting to still be competitive against console and PC players. It will never be as good as an Xbox, but minus the render distance and FPS nerf, it's mostly a painful skillcurve to learn. It's doable, but it's AWFUL, especially with the 120 FPS boost coming to Xbox and Playstation
I should note I play on a better controller than a joycon, those are impossible to use

I had the unfortunate displeasure of playing on the switch for about two years before I got my Xbox series S. Needless to say I didn't play much apex.

I'm playing on pc but sometimes I play on my switch lite (in my bed, not at home) and honestly with the gyro aim I get decent games, few kills and even sometimes in the top 3, 2 even 1. But I usually play mixtape on switch lite, and in score board I get good results like pc or other console players (crossplay activated)
That's how i have to play every day.

if you can get good with the gyro controls you become an actual monster. i got real good at fornite on switch with gryo, i played like that for a while n then stopped playing all together for about a year or two, lost all my progress, cant shoot for shit with or without gyro lmao

I used to play exclusively on switch before I got an Xbox it wasent thaaaat bad
My PC is pretty bad but not that bad lol I get somewhere between 30-50 fps usually it's 35-40 it just depends on what map I'm on and the poi and how much stuff there is going on around me but it's still pretty playable to a point I got over 2k hrs on origin/ea and 1k something on Steam but Idk I just stopped playing for the most part back in Season 10-12 whatever season had Ash but I still do log in rarely for either collection event trackers or just for fun in TDM or Control Mode but I cant play Battle Royale on that low fps anymore so I just stick to Fortnite since it's way more fun for me anyways with all the different game modes and emotes and stuff to do now it's basically Roblox with better Graphics
