What’s crazy to me isn’t that he does this, it’s crazy that you’d think he was a Poppy one-trick he’s so clean. Like he’s not like “I’m reading the ability and don’t know how to play it lemme play off meta in silver and get 20 kills”. He knows exactly how the champion works, understands the build and power spikes, and executed it flawlessly in fucking Master tier. It’s not the champ is off meta, it’s the depth of his pool man. He’s playing fucking Poppy mid at a higher ELO than I’ll ever see and he’s straight dumpstering kids and it’s not even his main champ.

As a poppy main i have tried this about a year ago also with phase rush and i came up with the idea completely on my own! And I’m silver! Which makes me proud because I love off meta build crafting.
I remember when I first started playing league two years ago I had to face a lethality Poppy support. Up until then i thought it would be grief to go lethality on her (i usually saw people go tank when picking her), needless to say she went 20/3 or something like that and carried the game. One time I flung a Yuumi away with super low hp thinking she would for sure die, but somehow she survived with 10 hp or less... My teammate flamed me for saving the Yuumi and I was just left confused. I had to watch the replay of the game to see wtf happened and then when I saw it... OMG... I was just left speechless of how unlucky I was there. But also kinda funny. 'Til this day I never use ult to kill because of that one time with the Yuumi, I learned early in my Poppy adventures that the ult damage is not as high as you think, only use to fling away their most fed player and such. If the dmg can't even kill a Yuumi you know the dmg is low. XD

Maybe we should start forcing champs with broken kits to finally have skillshots instead of targeted nukes. Jayce Hammer Q has no business being a targetable 4 second nuke while Lillia W isn't. Also how many people often accidentally type Poopy instead of Poppy?
It certainly is fun sometimes building lethality on these bruiser champs, you do ungodly amounts of dmg But if were being real, sunderer poppy is gonna be better like 95% of the time, you still do basically the same damage but you can run at people and not get popped

I also like Grasp on poppy because the shield throw auto counts as a melee auto. That is definitely probably better on tank Poppy though
