Definitely more relatable. and love seeing your ideas for speed being tested and shown. Failure is almost never seen on youtube and you show it with anything it happens with (rc, cars, scooters). I respect you for that and enjoy watching more because of it.
8:45 i used to have a Mazda MPV, the same one in the WuTang music video, 4wd super boxy Japanese 90s kinda Mystery Machine looking thing....anyways i had it with no air intake duct for like ever and ever until i searched it on ebay and found one for sale out of Hawaii. Got it, popped it on the airbox and instantly i could feel a boost in response at the touch of the gas pedal. Not like it was just sucking in all the ambient air under the hood. The duct was literrally a snorkel from the passenger side where the airbox was, and then it took in air right at the hood latch and even had its own rubber gasket to make sure it was essentially ram air. The opening where it took in air was about the size of a philips screwdriver grip.
Hey jack. Always great content. Nice to see some good progress on the camino. A nice exhaust system will do it some good. The stock setup chocks it nasty.
I like the el Camino videos, never had a 305 but definitely running better than I thought it would, I got some long tubes for my 95 Sierra I have yet to put on was wondering if it would give any substantial hp increase lol I reckon it would be about 25hp at the very most. Id love to see y’all build an air cooled beetle one of these days 😫
So if the stock or the previous converter was 1 size and the 2nd one being installed is a smaller one , it will still fit and work as long as it's for that model? I don't know much about converters? Does anyone know?
Fresh video, i like the double pun at the beginning about the good ol boy hauling ass. Litterally litterally speed and horses :P. All the performance from HP and the fresh sunglasses at the beginning
Probably losing 30hp with that cool looking snorkel air cleaner. Get a 14” k&n filter with the filtered lid/ or eBay knock off and some cheap longtube headers and it’ll wake up a lot more
I think it’s pretty cool , there’s not to much interest in the 305 in the hot rod world there are proven combos to get 400 hp out of a 305 if it’s something you are really into .
It’s crazy how those old V8s put out so little horsepower. My father has a C3 Corvette and that 350 is only rated to like 180 or 190hp. The 3 speed auto and low gears make it quick off the line tho, but highway cruising is horrible lol
If the Gbody exhaust is as bad as the F body exhaust was, LTs will be worth quite a few horsepower alone. I may actually have a set of G Body longtubes I pulled off for an LS swap if you want them
Jack, Gotta question for ya. Does that converter lock-up on your El-Camino? I got the same one for my TH200C and no lock-up. Pulled out a working unit and no lock-up on the ACC unit.
You’re the man Jack! So these tests were with the cold air ducting and the new torque converter? Air density always wins in my book and Mr. Banks’ book. In the narrow cases where I’ve seen flow “outperform”, it was a unrealistic scenario like dyno or sitting with the hood up and ice on the manifold. Of course…test away! I really appreciate that you’re keeping the 305. Do you think you can get it to the mid 6s? Or does that even matter? I know I’m satisfied with a deep 14 second 1/4 mile car, gets me all the highway power I could need and it’s zippy enough on back roads, while still being drivable at slow speeds.
@@JackCecil the 305 i had i put a edelbrock rpm intake, edelbrock 650 cfm carb, headers, electric fans electric fuel pump but mechanical water pump i dont trust those electric lmao and just some msd wires and it woke up the baby 305 and gave me some baby pops lol
@@JackCecil also 305s are ehh but you can put 96-98 vortec heads as an oem upgrade you just need the vortec carb intake after that. Those suckers should give you alil bump on the low end

Thank you. I think all results are good if you learn from them.
@@JackCecil results that you learn from are all that matter :-)
This whole series has been very fun to watch

That's a really good time. Would be interesting just as a test what one of the eBay upgrade carbies does or doesn't do for the time.
Got my attention when you said this still had the stock 305.... Significant progress for that powerplant!
Slap a used Holley 600 on there too. You’ll think that 305 is a 355 with those few upgrades
Yep, dialing in the converter makes quite the difference, you know the power of the engine you know the weight of the vehicle.
Jack driving around telling everybody about his Boss Hog 😎
It's less centrifugal mass not center of gravity

Love the wheels on the Camino want a set for my 82 regal
please dyno it stock and after the Headers. long tubes on my Old G body was a Huge Improvement in low end and she was Much happier up top also. 😃
Mini mullet......nickname it the the "rat tail" ?!?

Whats the stall speed of that converter?
4got too add my 06 gto has a 373 gear too so all that combind is Fast prob.11.5-to 11.7
Dyno both air cleaners with stock headers then swap in tiling tube headers… wanna see it

It was the torque that made those engines, and really most small blocks from that 70s-late 80s.
Love the Camino vids
Thank you! I love making them.

What stall ?
Keep it up Jack, keep that content coming dude.
It's about time Jack is going old school muscle 🤠👍🇨🇦
What is done to the motor?
Being that small tho I’d curious to see how long it last, not trying to rain on your parade
When do we go to EFI?
With the motor swap most likely. Unless i get a sponsor.
Maybe a Mainline nitrous kit in the future 🥸
I definitely enjoy it! Keep it up!
Nice!!! What kinda engine you running brotha
He mentioned a 305 in his other videos.
Let’s go!!! Almost a half second nice jack
Good right?
Try throwing a few degrees of timing in it
Base timing is set to 12.
Iknw i hav a 3200 stall 06 gto cammed ls3 with alum.driveshaft it revs Fast its inreal lol u hav2 Watch the rpms or itul hit rev.limmiter at 6800
HKS crate unboxing soon?
Yes soon!
Maybe find a reasonable cam to install with the headers a decent cam and headers probably be decent lol gain.
I’m looking!
no more surron videos ?
What should i do? I already built the fastest one in the world.
PS: we need a Scooter video, of you spanking some Grom Nerds ;-)

Yea dyno tests never show a complete picture of performance. Real world scenarios are a huge variable.
Just need to make the thing breathe now
Yea a little extra air can’t hurt!
@@JackCecil more air you can get out the more air you can get in
🔥🔥🔥
LOVE IT !!!
Badass!! Goals!
Reverse the cover
Throw some headers on it for shits and giggles
Yes sir
