I need brands to slow down! I think they're shooting themselves in the foot when they release so often! I have a bit of a collectors mentality so when I discover a new brand I love I do tend to buy everything. Blend Bunny for example I was quite happily keeping up with until the collaborations started! I almost skipped the Ellis Atlantis one because it was so different in terms of size I could tell myself it wasn't really the same line I was collecting but I got it when they announced they were coming to Glisten because I wanted to encourage them to continue that arrangement and with a 25% discount plus free shipping it was a bargain compared to smaller palettes I'd imported. I got the little miss she never misses because it was smaller but I was feeling that was way too soon! By the time it got to Robert Welsh if it had been any other collabotator I'd have had to say no not just now which is what I ended up doing with the lins Glisten collaboration. But now I've skipped a release I don't have a complete collection anymore 😢 and now I've broken the collectors mentality I am going to be much more thoughtful about what place any future releases have in my collection - they'll need to get in on their own merits and not to complete anything! Nomad could go a similar way ‐ I'd less of a collectors mentality for them because I was late to that party so I was never getting them all but if I can't keep up I'm going to lose interest!
27:15 Since I've embraced my cool olive undertone, I've been researching a lot about AUTHENTIC cool-toned lip products, so I'm so excited about those re-releases from Mac lipsticks and lip liners. The only cool-toned lip liner that suits me is MUFE dimensional dark brown in the color artist pencil line. I think Endless Cacao is worth checking (maybe a bit dark, but it looks promising, undertone speaking). They had another reference called Total Taupe, but it looks like it's discontinued. I know you had a bad experience with Danessa Myricks, but if I don't mind using cream products and mixing, I 100% recommend the Essentials waterproof cream palette. I got this a few weeks ago, and I use it for my contour, bronzer (rarely), and eyeshadow base (I create my custom shade since I'm always between two). I also use it to create my custom shade of lip liner and lipstick when I want something that will last as a base underneath glossy products. I'm maybe doing too much but I don't expect you to be as excited as I am to mix and match. This is too experimental for me to recommend it but it's worth the try if you can get at 40 or 50% off. PS: I'm sorry for my long comment but I'm always eager to help if I can 😘

I'm on their mailing list and was puzzled by Ace Beauté's cryptic farewell e-mail. As for the lack of any list of ingredients, afaik Ace did not ever list ingredients for eyeshadow palettes from as far back as 2022, when I first tried their palettes.
@@jenfurlow9074 At the rate mascara prices are going up (my holy grail has almost doubled in price since 2015), I'm okay with being nasty and making the most out of them for 6 months. We're not being cheap, we're conscious consumers 🤭😏

I think I'm the only Canadian who can't stand Ketchup. It makes me want to barf at the best of times, and like you, I'm not a fan of "food collabs". It's very off putting so of course I HATE that C Mall Red Ketchup collection. BARF!!!

The whole Ace Beauté thing has me confused. Now I've purchased approx 10 of their old palettes but everything in the recent months has me confused. From the brush cleaner to the new palette. It gives the vibe like they are going backward from their own formula to private label IMO. Also....we recently had an ad here in the U.S. for a local beauty store for 50% Lime Crime and I 🏃♀️ to their site ...no lip liners 😢 Sorry! I tried.
I have no idea about mainland China's trends, but I'm Chinese American and ketchup does not cross anyone's minds as smth remotely worth craving in our culture here, lol. I have heard my Persian friend say how they love ketchup on pizza, but it has to be good ketchup and Heinz is not it. 😂 I chuckle everytime u say lip oils and lip glosses are the same. As a lip oil lover I'm just gonna say this one time for the other lip oil lovers. Lip oils aren't usually the same as glosses - by texture and, I think, by the amount of oil. Glosses feel like melted plastic and tend to have more opaque pigment, while lip oils feel like a more moisturizing serum that sink into the lips a bit, wear off easily, and r usually mostly transparent. CP's lip oils have a light formula, JP has a slightly heavier formula, and elf, Milani, and NYX have the heavier formulas that border on feeling like a gloss, but still aren't plastic-sticky like glosses. The heavier formulas last longer, but have a stickier feel that I don't prefer. If smth says "gloss", that's my cue to avoid it. Those CG makeup by Mario lip swatches did not do them any favors, lol.
