Here's the thing about TH-cam, I don't give a damn (or know anything about) heavy equipment, salvage, or buying truckloads of stuff, but you guys seem to have fun and you make it fun for me. Well done. Keep it up.
As a former volunteer firefighter, I was taught by my instructors that doing something potentially dangerous that slow is fast and doing it fast makes you slow. Because when one gets in a hurry, the safety process will inevitably break down. Everybody has heard about Murphy's law # one . " If anything can go wrong, it will go wrong at the most inopportune time." But everyone forgets that there's a second Murphy's law#2 ." Murphy is an optimist !"
I know that as O’Toole‘s axiom.
Would sparks motors be interested in helping someone that's in a wheelchair get back outdoors in some type of off road wheelchair I been paralyzed for 12 years now I can't drive because I don't have money to get a car but right now in my life where I live I would much rather have some kind of offroad wheelchair to get back into nature I been stuck for 12 years of my life that only things that make life worth getting out of the bed for is my 2 beautiful daughters thanks guys have a blessed day I'm from NC you can look my accident up it was on the front page of our news paper it happened at 9:35pm on August 30th 2012 the news paper is called the McDowell County news paper
Not to be mean (all the best to you mate) but please start using some . and , please. Will make it a whole lot more pleasant to read your tekst.
Have you looked into the jerry rig everything guy ?
He actually has a company that builds off road wheelchairs
TH-camr JerryRigEverything already did this for his wife. Started a whole company. Go find him.
notawheelchair
JerryRig Everything is who you’re looking for
*- All the old timers on construction and logging crews told me when I was new to them: **4:40*
*- "Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast."*
So so disappointed! 15 min video and Dave didnt try to sell me ANYTHING!
😂😂😂
What the hell?😂😂
Dave talking about slowing down and assessing situations and blows through a gate almosting squashing diesel (i know he had to keep speed up but shiiitt)
If I was diesel I would've been pissed he almost took his hand off!
National Geographic “Hunting the wild floating dock in its natural wild habitat”.
whyd i read this with the Australian accent
Crickey??
@@aizyyt3451 Steve Irwin perhaps?
Oddly, I did too! 😂
Good one!
You guys finally thaw out? Great winter stuff this season. Thanks for bringing us along.
Sparks got some cool tools but his family, crew, and friends are definitely his greatest success
A Tommy Boy quote from Diesel Dave to top off the video. 👍👍
Next video should be captioned like "help me step-bro I'm stuck in the engine bay" with a thumbnail of him.
Perfect!!! hahahaha
Most people see you saving a couple of docks I just see you saving a paradox
That water looks like glass. Perfect for skiing.
It’s so weird how snow makes the water look cold, and when it’s summer, it looks refreshing to jump in. Inviting, I guess I was trying to say
Feel free to jump in wearing nothing but a speedo. Do it for...science.
Yeah, that water is absolutely amazing looking
Bear lake is cold as hell in August
@@KermitOfWar I don’t think speedos are meant for women 🤣
But I’d do it in a bikini!
@@Quackerstacker1973 wow! I wouldn’t have guessed that! Is that northern Cali?
These vids used to be a lot longer...I miss that. 😔
Still love Hans tho! He's a great guy. 🙂
The dream life with the dream toys being able to help others as much as possible what a life
I thought the underwater shot switching to the boat moving was a sick transition. But nope it was the drone goin for a quick dip.
It seems like everybody calls you because you're the only Dependable guy that will help people out, that's cool
Yeah… it has nothing to do with making money! Lol🙄
@@reesbritton6623 did I say anything about making money??
Look forward to hearing any knowledge you can share about buying business, and areas to work.
Bear Lake is so nice. Love that place
Congratulations on your acquisition of the big diesel jet boat that is at Maaco in Logan. It looks awesome. After Erik Mortenson and his crew get through painting it maybe we could take it out on Bear Lake and do a little fishing. I think Maaco in Logan is an awesome place to have some of your work done, it’s where I have mine done. I enjoy all your videos. They are awesome thank you.
Great work guys. As a upper-midwest fisherman it's real hazard to fish at night. A couple years ago i was cruising across a lake using my spotlight every 30 seconds or so and there it was. A boat had become untired and was out in the middle of the lake. I towed it to the nearest dock and tied it up. And the boat i was in is the one in my thumb nail.
As an upper midwest fisherman too we move it ourselves
Take some on the water towing courses … very hard to plane the boat while towing unless the towed object also planes - and the best position for towing a dock is to lash it along-side with fenders in between it and your boat
I love doing salvage on the water with my black checkmate
But what about the other dock? Y’all just left us hangin… like a lonesome dock floating aimlessly in the middle of a lake.
The dock owners get a $1,000,000 bill 💵 💸 for air boat and land recovery of their swim platforms by the city...
No way! In my mind I guessed 32 minutes. Then Hans said his guess out loud! Lol I was close considering I have no clue what I'm talking about. 😂
Teamwork and joined up thinking wins the day Dave👍😊
That view from the tail was a great shot.
Everybody knows the only reason you got a rollback was because you saw all the money Cleet and Squirrel made in their video.
😂🤣😂
U can get yours too and stop being bitter
@@See_the_world_throu_lence He was joking Karen.
bro quit being a hater man. It's not cool.
You do realise all these youtubers are linked up and build similar to each other... Mates don't mind that kind of thing......
*Your videos are always very informative and entertaining, many Thanks for that 😊*
Woah, the vortexes off the prop are insanely cool to see
These guys are the hardest working people I know. They never complained of how cold it is. To be honest I would be complaining the whole time lol
They're doing work for the state....u know how much money u make when contracting cleanup for a state? I'm in florida and we do stuff like this on a smaller scale after hurricanes....trust if those helicopters are breaking out its paying very well....plus brownie points after all those environmental fines they got a few years back.... plus it's all huge tax writeoff
Some times even with safety equipment in place accidents still find a way to happen I had safety glass and a face shield on and I was grinding hooks for orange grove equipment and three hot metal fragments got in my left eye and the had to use a needle to get them out that's why I always wear safety glasses now I developed a cataract in my eye
A 60 foot dock? That makes that boat about 90 feet long. Ya know 🙄Ya know 🙄Ya know 🙄Ya know 🙄
That's what I was thinking
Or they have a couple of 30 footers. The dock doesn't have to be longer than the boat.
@@johnt.848 If the dock they are towing is 30x60 then the boat they are towing it with is 90 feet. There is no way that dock is 30x60.
They said the first dock was the smaller one.
@@bethhayes8427 Yes but they referenced this one as a 60' dock several times. Maybe, like me, they were joking around.
FYI Drone sensors even when on sometimes and most times they won’t see the water, or any reflective surface for that matter.
Always good to see those 'private' plates on there. Like no one else may use it when it is in place but when it drifts away it's not private anymore and someone else has to clean their shit up.
8:00 Hook onto the dock at the corner. That gives it a bit of a bow. I've towed docks for miles that way.
What happens if you gotta take an explosive diarrhea while flying that helicopter 😂
Don't look up!
Tilt sideways and let it fly!
You just use hans mouth like A toilet that's what he's there for
Hello all ;
I don't know the structure of your company but I don't think heavy D is any employee but he is always, always the one seen working with tools in his hands without ever directing others.
Did Travis Pastrana give hands 🙌 that nitro Circus jacket?
Suddenly a 30,000HP Tugboat makes sense!
18 minutes to get back to the truck
I'm guessing 27:45 seconds
Dave!! My grandfather called that slow down thing.... "Slow down, you will go faster!" He was right!!
That reminds me of something I recently heard, "The hurrieder I go, the behinder I get."
$20grand spent to collect $200 docks!
😂
That’s crazy, never thought about that before
Thats a beautiful Copter Dee You need to find a Air Wolf replica to do your work
4:53 EXACTLY ... when i am not "in charge" sometimes i am with people that are "go go go GO!" and we end up spending "10x more" time and effort doing something for NO REASON
You had to be talking about Allen when you said about breaking out and wanting to do their thing.
Let’s make a video of collecting docks?? WTF?
By the way.. love your stuff. Keep it up! I'd be applying as an operator with y'all if you were anywhere in Texas
Nobody said: "What's up Dock?" I'm getting too old I guess.
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast - methodical approach to any problem is the most efficient way to achieve success.
HeavyD if you ever have to tow a dock again. Hip toe or push it . Hip towing is basically center line of. Dock and amidship (center of boat) you want the dock just behind that along side of ya.
Looking forward to the Business content about buying the towing company!!! I run a business and soooo looking forward to that.
1:06 The spiral air coming off the right side is really cool. Also, 1:25 Is that Justin Bieber behind you?
Great advice on slowing down to access a situation and form a thought out plan of attack. It’s always especially hard with a group of type A’s that want to jump on it and compete but you are correct in that it is less efficient and will eventually bite ya.
Good job! Great team!
Nothing like a good Florida sunny day ❤❤❤❤
5:29 essential, you've aged, it takes longer and longer to muster the energy (and resources are more precious now) and you've aquired the skills and knowledge to understand that looking where your foot lands is always better than digging the jumping mine after. :D Welcome to being old! It's not an exclusive club, but we have good dental plans (most of the times).
I wanted to not like Dave, but god damnit is this dude the best guy. Not letting money or fame corrupt him (or so it seems) but helping people in need. What a guy. Keep doing what you’re doing brotha!
Will yall be covering to finding of Dyaln Rounds
a third person camera on a Dauphine.. mann this is gold
Next time considered attaching inflatable lift bags to the floating docks.
be on the lookout for the runaway docks
Shoulda brought the Navy SWCC boat! LOVE that thing!
Think like a tug boat not a tow truck. Tie it on to the side of your boat. I've moved lots of docks with small vessels
Another good video bro thanks man looks freeking osome flying around in a helicopter man I've never been on any kind of air craft but would love to one day very soon I hope, looks like great fun see you in the next one fellas! 👌👌👍👍👍💯💯🏴
Seems like way too many workers to haul back such a small dock. 😂 Not sure if that's leading to profitability.
Disel needs to get cowboy boots with aggressive boot treads. Those slicks are going to slip him up and he's going to bust his chin!
Probably about 18 minutes Dave. Be safe out there at all times God bless to you your family and your crew Ken from Pennsylvania.
I nailed it almost exactly. I had 27 minutes. That was pretty close, I suppose. Not close enough to have earned a cookie, but close enough.
Best helicopter camera angle EVER.
I'm very surprised there's still ice on the lake during this time of year
As always great crew and great job and a great service to the park service and public thank you David Sparks deasil Dave And atlas towing again thank you
Whenever Sparks drives something, you can count on it being broken.
That truck coming through the gate was way too dangerous! WTF...
8:42 Lift the nose up, it will plane! Brilliant conception! Eh? I got a 1990 4.9 ford running on 5 cylinders, oil gage don't register pressure. Yah, it knocks a bit at startup, amazing. Best engine Ford ever built, too bad the bodies rusted out. Hard to find a 4.9!
I think it'll take 27:45 roughly to drive that mile with the boat... probably have to change the rope position one or 2 times so that'll eat up some time
Docking is best done with friends
the correct question is:
how many docks could a dock dock, if a dock could in fact dock docks?
Man what a life. Lay down at night and think, I own a blackhawk n I fly it well. so many men are lost on social media but this is the dream I strive for.
13:05 don't eat yellow snow Hans!
Owner of the dock should be 100% held accountable for the removal and whatever damage it has caused!
I now have experience on moving docks!! We had a pontoon and we towed them from the side of the boat!
I had a 20' pontoon with a 4Stroke Merc 60 Bigfoot and my buddy had a 24' Harris pontoon with a crappy Johnson 35, and we would tie his off to my side with the door openings lined up and he would just tilt his motor up and we'd cruise all around the lake on my power. More than enough + I had the jammin' tunes. It was like having a mega deck on the water!
Good job. Muchly appreciated
Massive resources going in to recovering a beached dock. I don’t know how you guys make money but I enjoy watching.
Was this shot a while back or are you in a more northern location because I thought you guys were over with winter in Utah or did you just have a late spring dump of snow?
What kind of company buys a 2024 rollback for their business then decides they want to slow down and sell the business 🤨. Seems like a very odd situation
26 minutes and 37 seconds. Love how nice that water looks!
Hey guys great videos in the future it’s way easier to tow a raft from the corner so you led with a pointy end instead of a flat one
Brian: “It’s always this way”. 😂😂 Proud of you, brother! ❤
01:00ff I guess Eurocopter/AH never have seen their Fenestron tail whipping… that’s scary
that first dock was 10x10 lol not 20x60
Still waiting on backpack coordinates for Illinois.
The 'Rotary Girder!' Made me laugh as that as actually on tonight!!!!!
its funny that so many people dont know about the inline specs on the rotary girder. Very important knowledge
If it gets out of phase...you're down for days! I'm glad Dave caught that.
That’s a big ole blue drone you have there💪
For that first pontoon, there was literally a road alongside the lake, it would have been faster to manually drag it to the road and then drive it back to where ever.
With almost 4 million subscribers it’s only a matter of time before the FAA contacts you about the non-STC camera mounting device on the tail with that Fenestron tail rotor just below to vacuum the camera in and shuck a few tail rotor blades. Great shots, love the airborne videos from the tail but low and slow with no tail rotor is going to make for a very bad day.
It doesn't displace enough water only buoyant stationary. But that's what science is about Dave always testing theories to see what is applicable. Always awesome videos especially water recoveries.
Seemed like a legit job to bring out a heli.
