This is the oilers team that had one of the worst starts in nhl history looked like they were in big trouble and then they come back with a new coach, completely turn the season around, get 16 wins in a row, round 1 handle the kings easily, 2 battled hard against my Canucks, round 3 they have shown that they are absolutely capable of competing against the stars and beating them. I honestly didn’t expect them to be doing this well against Dallas but I see now how hard this group works every shift. The everyone is working together, they are playing like a bunch of champions already. Game 6 is the ultimate test, they have a chance to put this one away and advance to play for the Stanley cup. I think they’ll get it done at home. They can’t allow Dallas to force another game. Skinner has to be a wall again. I gave him a hard time but he’s come in clutch when it really matters in the last 2 games. This was such a gutsy effort their defence put on a clinic in the 1st and 2nd period. Dallas finally got going in the 3rd trying to comeback and Skinner shut the door. These Oilers deserve more credit then they are getting. This team is for real this year , when they are at their best, they just play like a well oiled machine. Finish this thing in Game 6 Edmonton!

I keep hearing Oiler fans calling out "Dallas in 4" people, but I didn't see that from anyone anywhere except a few trolls on the internet. The pundits and media I saw that called Dallas mostly predicted Dallas in 6. Haven't seen a predicted sweep for any series from round 2 and later.
After that playoffs a few years ago when all four number one teams went out in the first round, including the best team in regular season history going out in a sweep after being up three to nothing at the end of the first period in game one, I don't count anybody out.
It's absolutely insane that our team went from tied for worst in the league in November to one win away from the Stanley Cup Final!! This whole reason has been one dramatic story of redemption, and hopefully it'll keep on going! But we can't underestimate Dallas. Nuge was my day 1 ever since I started watching hockey back in 2014 and im happy I stuck with him the 100 point season last year and now 20 pts in 17 games 1 win away from the cup finals. @my3dviews in the past two games, Dallas has minimal offense and it's clearly showing on the scoreboard. In Game 3, besides the 3min 33sec stretch, Dallas had one goal scored because of Skinner not holding the post properly. Edmonton has been the much better offensive team this series. First two games were equal, since then, Edmonton has controlled most of the play. Game 4 was the turning point!
The addition of Broberg absolutely changes things for Edmonton as an entire team, he was always a top prospect and now he's finally here and more than ready. What a 2-way weapon for a defense that all of a sudden looks as good or better than anyone.
They let him marinate nice and good down in the AHL, just like they did Bouchard, Broberg just started his nhl career but he looks like a Klefbom 2.0 hopefully not with the same injury problems

Solid game tonight for my Oilers. The special teams really has been the story for this series. I want them to wrap this up in Edmonton and be ready for a stacked end boss in Florida. I have no illusions about the difficult task the Oilers have in front of them to wrap it up, but it keeps seeming more and more real that they can potentially win it all. Also I know the Eastern conference is still going, but I just feel Florida will take the east.
Dallas’ effort is very reminiscent of the 2019 Sharks which was also a DeBoer team that went through the gauntlet. Just key injuries and running out of gas leading to their fall.

This is the oilers team that had one of the worst starts in nhl history looked like they were in big trouble and then they come back with a new coach, completely turn the season around, get 16 wins in a row, round 1 handle the kings easily, 2 battled hard against my Canucks, round 3 they have shown that they are absolutely capable of competing against the stars and beating them. I honestly didn’t expect them to be doing this well against Dallas but I see now how hard this group works every shift. The everyone is working together, they are playing like a bunch of champions already. Game 6 is the ultimate test, they have a chance to put this one away and advance to play for the Stanley cup. I think they’ll get it done at home. They can’t allow Dallas to force another game. Skinner has to be a wall again. I gave him a hard time but he’s come in clutch when it really matters in the last 2 games. This was such a gutsy effort their defence put on a clinic in the 1st and 2nd period. Dallas finally got going in the 3rd trying to comeback and Skinner shut the door.
These Oilers deserve more credit then they are getting. This team is for real this year , when they are at their best, they just play like a well oiled machine.

I keep hearing Oiler fans calling out "Dallas in 4" people, but I didn't see that from anyone anywhere except a few trolls on the internet. The pundits and media I saw that called Dallas mostly predicted Dallas in 6. Haven't seen a predicted sweep for any series from round 2 and later.

After that playoffs a few years ago when all four number one teams went out in the first round, including the best team in regular season history going out in a sweep after being up three to nothing at the end of the first period in game one, I don't count anybody out.
It's absolutely insane that our team went from tied for worst in the league in November to one win away from the Stanley Cup Final!! This whole reason has been one dramatic story of redemption, and hopefully it'll keep on going! But we can't underestimate Dallas. Now that their backs are against the wall, we all know that they'll come out desperate in Game 6. However, when the Oilers are at their best, they can overcome that, baby!! I’m not big into trash talk.. just want to have good vibes while I watch. Now that the Canucks are out, I’m just a hockey fan. It’s fun to cheer for the team my friends are cheering for. I guess for some people the trash talk is part of their fun, but I also think people fight about dumb stuff enough without getting all bent out of shape about what a fan of another team predicted about your team, etc. Too silly!

@my3dviews in the past two games, Dallas has minimal offense and it's clearly showing on the scoreboard. In Game 3, besides the 3min 33sec stretch, Dallas had one goal scored because of Skinner not holding the post properly. Edmonton has been the much better offensive team this series. First two games were equal, since then, Edmonton has controlled most of the play. Game 4 was the turning point!

The addition of Broberg absolutely changes things for Edmonton as an entire team, he was always a top prospect and now he's finally here and more than ready. What a 2-way weapon for a defense that all of a sudden looks as good or better than anyone.
They let him marinate nice and good down in the AHL, just like they did Bouchard, Broberg just started his nhl career but he looks like a Klefbom 2.0 hopefully not with the same injury problems
I'm truly intrigued by this selection, as a fan from Australia. Been following the Oilers since 2013. Seriously following since 2019. Why in your opinion is Broberg a weapon? Skating skills? Vision? Defensive prowess?
Desharnais has come along way from what I can see, with the inclusion of Elkholm, but perhaps he is vulnerable mobility wise, due to his size?

Solid game tonight for my Oilers. The special teams really has been the story for this series. I want them to wrap this up in Edmonton and be ready for a stacked end boss in Florida. I have no illusions about the difficult task the Oilers have in front of them to wrap it up, but it keeps seeming more and more real that they can potentially win it all.
Also I know the Eastern conference is still going, but I just feel Florida will take the east.
