I took me 80 mins to find a version of Vande mataram that was not tampered with .. that had no "imposed originality" , that had no experiments going on with it ... I salute Sangeeta Katti that she had the guts to sing VANDE MATARAM . And I thank you for posting this rare Gem . What a country we live in . Such a beautiful mesmerizing song systematically destroyed .

I miss those school days when we used to sing the full song and it was soo pleasant and amazing I'd cry almost everyday singing this. And not only me everyone used to gt emotional become it is so meaningful and beautiful I just can't stand it. I love and respect India. Salute to you 😭

It was original indian anthem before independence. But after parliament debate to please muslim this song was banned.

This is the full version of Vande Mataram. The one we sing today is only 40 percent of the original song.
The remaining 3 stanzas talk about:
1) Fighting against invaders with “twice seventy million hands” and “seventy million voices”
2) Every divine image in every temple is Bharat Mata
3) You are Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati
Hence a Bharat Mata Mandir is as divine as any mandir in the world.
And Vande Mataram is truly our national anthem which was changed to Jana Gana Mana by the unelected Constituent Assembly of India in 1950, even though Vande Mataram was the song of our independence since Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay wrote it in 1875 and Aurobindo Ghosh translated it. In fact it was sung as the future independent India’s anthem by the Indian National Congress from 1896 (set to music and first sung by Rabindranath Tagore) till 1947.
Divinity is Indian and India is divine. And yes, if you are Indian, you are in obedience to that which the Matas - Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati - and hence, Bharat Mata - stand for.
We should all learn the full song of Vande Mataram. It is not a patriotic song or a bhajan. It is about the divinity and spirituality and might of our Mother - Bharat. It is the aartee of Maa Bharatee.
This is not about nationality or citizenship. If we are ethnically originating from the countries that today comprise the Indian Subcontinent, we are all Bharatiya because our Mata is Bharat.
Durga is Bharat. Lakshmi is Bharat. Saraswati is Bharat. And Bharat is our Mata. And hence we are all Bharatiya. Irrespective of Citizenship or Passport.
Same for our National Anthem Janaganamana. We sing the first stanza only.
