@@staycationtg I tried it for a few hours, but honestly I was not a huge fan of the gun play. Idk if I have just become burnt out on first person shooters or what, but I just didn’t connect with it
I play valorant and cs2 sometimes but not often. I'm not exactly sure what it is but I just feel bored when I'm playing it and tired. Maybe it's the pace, maybe it's the low contrast on the enemies, I've changed colours but sometimes it's still a struggle. I've tried to give it a fair shot but maybe its the combination of lack of feeling from the weapons a satisfaction for clicking heads or something but I just feel tired when I'm playing it whereas I don't feel that way for other tactical shooters. Basically I'm not sure why I feel bored because there isn't a definite reason but something about it is just off. It might be the lack of personality from the characters and weapons, I've not spent any money on unlocks.
@@DrawAndErase spot on. We take for granted how smooth and refined valorant's movements, gunplay and overall feel are that when we play a game like spectre divide, we notice how clunky and how unsatisfying the game feels.
I love everything about the game tbh. The only thing they gotta do is change the economy a bit, increase the speed at which you unlock sponsors (or just make em all unlocked from the start cuz people are tired of unlocking stuff in every game these days), and start putting out new sponsors, maps and the usual stuff asap.
@@tokyofps3245 That sounds cool on paper but i think most competitive players (myself included) would just like to grind ranked all day and not think about anything else haha. Also people can already try out all of the classes in the practice range. I understand why they made it how it is but just having 4 classes at the start is too little imo. They should at least give people the option to unlock 2 of the 4 locked classes after they finish the 5 casual games required for unlocking ranked.
I will be honest and say that this game brought me back to tac shooters. I played CS and Val for a while but I stopped when it stopped giving me something fun. Spectre's core ability to me is so absurdly fun and it makes the tac shooter loop satisfying and makes me think about future plays. If it goes away the way that other live services games have, I will probably not be playing CS or Val in the future. The things that Spectre is offering is not available anywhere else.
It really just needs more game modes & honestly movement could be a little bit faster, last one rounds could be a bit shorter other then this it's a solid game people need to give it a chance 🤙🏼
i'd say that people are unsure whether the game will exist in a year (with a healthy player base). Personally I love it, but it's hard to commit a lot of time to master it, when it's possible it will end up with like
Great take. It's like when val came out in beta I got a key from twitch and played, and there was a ton of hype from ex cs pros and known players that were switching and so you knew that it was going to be big and you kinda just wanted to be apart of it. Nowawdays I'm burnet out from val because I hate online gameplay there, ping changes how opponents peek so much that you literally have to adapt to the given player in how you old angles (which is not feasible). Never experienced that in Specter Divide and on top of that I quite love the gunplay (although for me instead I've had a hard time learning the recoil patterns but thats just skill issue). The thing about it though, these last few days, I got an itch to play battlefield, which I then have been doing since. Now that I'm writing this I realise back when Valorant came out I literally just queued games after games after games every day for months. Eventually I took breaks, but I ended up grinding ranked decently and buying full set + additional (other than Outlaw) of premium skins wherein I haven't purchased any skins in Spectre Divide. You very much so put words to the feeling I've had about the game. It feels uncertain. I could draw a parallel, my first PC FPS was TF2 (played Cod, battlefield and such on console beforehand). I've since long stopped playing TF2, but that's the thing I never particularly felt the game was boring nor outdated, the characters have such a charm to them and balancing never felt bad at least not from what I remember. Still though, I've stopped playing, because you don't just keep playing a game forever simply due to it's gameplay quality, you play it also largely because of how popular it is and in turn whether or not something else is grabbing at your attention. For me I believe it was OW after TF2. Another thing that is very much so counter intuitive, is I believe there is not enough frustration built into Specter Divide. Now, not that you don't get frustrated if you wiff or lets say that smoke char is silently behind you all of a sudden and kills you. But if you're from Valorant at the very least, I remember seing a clip of two ex cs players that were well known, NA players, talking about frustration. Went something like: (a) "Do you tilt more in Val than in cs though" (b) "Oh for sure, 100%, but like I also laugh my ass of way more often when I shit on someone in a stupid way" (a) "Ikr, run and gun, jumping kills, classic right click, jett updraft 360 lmg pro fkin Prod stuff". Etc, I took it from memory and added details that fit the consensus. I somewhat worry that Spectre Divide is slightly too straight forward. It's kinda just: Get better, then get better, also; get better, improve, learn strats, get better teamplay as well as mechanics, especially learn to manage your specters efficiently. And for sure the two char per round part in Spectre is super unique. But it might just be too prim, too proper, not loose enough, not stupid, nothing's particularly unbalanced in the game (expect the cheap sniper which I love to use, not op, but surpising when you tap heads with it for so cheap). Once again, if you are from Valorant, then you might remember Classic right click being better than Rifles at short to almost medium range, Chamber meta, jett before dash nerf, raze nade at release, Iso buff not too long ago, neon slide being really good (still in the game cuz its not rly op in that sense but yeh) Stinger meta, and I'm sure there has been more. Spectre Divide, still extremely young game, excellent gameplay imo. It's only fault might be it's somewhat lacking popularity, of which I moreso fear might be due to specific things such as not enough stupidity. To be fair CSGO has hardly any stupidity meter, but that game is extremely popular (and old) and so survives despite that, never got into that game though so I can't draw any personal experience comparisons, after all I started playing Val because I wanted to try a cs esc game, never was excited by Siege either for that matter. Hope it does well though, keeping half an eye open at the store to see if there pops up a premium bundle with the snipers in it, might just buy that. Also, I've got 63 hours in Spectre as reference, 547h in Val, and I guess also Tf2 I've got 764 hours. Over the years various Minecraft servers robbed a bit of my playtime away from FPS games, but I've been playing shooters on pc for a fair few years now, don't care to count cuz I don't remember, but surely 10+ and im 22. PS. No shot you read all this, should've gone and read a book instead.
Here is my take on the game after playing it for 3 weeks: PROS: 1) Duality gimmick is cool, but within the overall scheme of movement, moving slow plus the slow amount of time it took to transport your character cross map, made the game feel super clunky, but to their credit, they fixed the movement, so it feels much better now. The last thing you want is for your core mechanic to have felt awkward and punishing. 2) The sponsor kits and how some of them reward better spectre management, such as: Morggen, Vector, Pinnacle, and Umbra are optimal when both spectres are alive and working in tandem. 3) I like the ADS mechanic, as I think having to aim down sight for accuracy is more realistic than counter strafing hip shooting. CONS: 1) FPS drops, Lag spikes, Server latency, etc. This game is not smooth compared to the top shooters. Now in the TAC shooter genre, Valorant wasn't smooth at its release either, and still has these issues, albeit less frequent than it used to. I know it took Valorant almost 2 years to make the game smoother, so I'm being realistic with my expectations here. Regardless, it is still annoying to lose duels you thought you were going to win because of these things. 2) Customizing options in keybinds and settings, while good enough compared to most TAC shooters, should aim higher if its not too much work. I do not play COD, but just from playing the beta, COD has the most extensive keybind options I've ever seen, and more games should strive to do that. For example, I play Halo a lot, and my muscle memory is to press one button to swap back and forth between my primary and secondary weapon, as melee is not considered a weapon. Now in most TAC shooters, that's not even an option, but in the COD BO6 beta, you could see they thought about how different players from different type of shooters might be trying their game out, and they have the option to set up your weapon keys like a TAC shooter or your more arcade shooters, even though COD isn't a TAC shooter. In Valorant I got used to having to have a key for each weapon, as it felt more reliable than 'next/previous weapon', where your knife is included in the rotation. I just wish I didn't have to compromise my muscle memory in a game I play a lot just to play this game. It would be nice if they had a swap weapon button only for guns, not your knife. Then there is no toggle to talk, which is the middle ground between push to talk and open mic. If they just had a self mute toggle option, it would achieve this, but they do not. I don't mind having to have a push to talk button, but I would rather toggle between mute and open mic. These things seem small and they are personal preferences, not really issues with the game, but they do make a difference, especially when the game is already lacking in fluidity from a server performance point of view. Having modularity matters, because all those things, while sometimes overlooked, have an impact on gameplay experience, and the perception of a smooth experience. The Custom games not having a quarter of what Valorant has to help you practice line-ups efficiently is also a back breaker. Valorant isn't even the golden standard when it comes to high quality setting modularity, and they still have no replay system, so at least do not be behind them in that. 3) The economy system needs work, and there are too few rounds in a match for economy to matter. I understand why they did the boosted economy for unranked, and likewise they should also have the amount of rounds played to be different between ranked and unranked. Right now its the best out of 15, but I think it should be the best out of 19 or 21 for ranked. There just isn't much time to catch or lose momentum by making strategic adjustments on offense/defense before switching sides. (edit): Matter fact the boosted economy in unranked is bad, because I have no reason to buy anything other than tier 4 and 5 I've uninstalled the game twice in one week. Today I did it because of the chat disconnect bug that didn't allow me to communicate via text or voice for 3/4 matches. That is just a straw that breaks the camel's back, because it is a TAC shooter, and taking away your ability to communicate is like walking with only one leg, but I reinstalled the game today after I was told they just fixed that bug. I am trying to be patient with this game, but its not easy. Yes other games had rough starts, but some of those games are kings of their genre, so you can't come in struggling against established games, because people will just stop playing your game and start playing the established ones. Before, when those games were establishing themselves, there may have not been much competition to kill them in their infancy, but now the class based TAC shooter genre is starting to become crowded, and Valorant, R6S, and CSGO already dominate the genre as it is.
@@febrezi3929 😓 I think I've forgotten what grass feels like between my toes. The aroma of the trees in my nostrils. The glare of the sun in my eyes. The wind through my hair. The birds chirping. I'm stuck in darkness...someone help me, I'm being held by a spectre.
I think this sums up all and you see the cons are small stuff, it's a good indicator the game is going in a good direction. I just wish they didn't lock me out with E111000B. (I'm not a steam deck user and my computer doesn't touch windows for more than 10 years, I will not switch OS)
@@rogercruz1547 Yeah, you realize its the 'little things' that usually make a difference when comparing big studios and small studios. I remember when I was trying out Paladins and Overwatch, but dropped Paladins, even though it was a better designed game IMO, because Paladins was buggy and crashed, and had some lag spikes, while Overwatch was smooth and polished, although is was not a better designed game. I just got sick of Paladins because of the 'little things' that ruined games. They may seem little, but they feel big when they screw you over in crucial moments. So Spectre Divide (SD) should not overlook these things, and I know they aren't overlooking #1, because that's what everyone is complaining about. #2 and #3 are things people can wait on.
A shorter mode would nice, such as how val has swiftplay. same with TDM or Deathmatch, but with a low player count more modes obviously is hard as it will split the already low player base. I personally enjoy the game very much. IMO just more maps and game modes would be good. in terms of player count i guess it depends on how much they are advertising and marketing. Regardless i will continue playing and am excited for them to expand on the game.
I enjoy this game a lot, but the biggest issues I see right now is the hit reg, & cheaters. I’ve ran into numerous people cheating & it’s caused me to take a break
i really appreciate being the voice in a small community like spectre, i don’t play but i like seeing you stick up for the game because it looks so good and some people just don’t have the facts right
I’ve played it and I love it , it’s very addictive. I think the main problem is the player count , I’ve played against the same handful of people in the past few weeks. I was very intimidated to play initially because I thought I wouldn’t have the IQ to play 2 bodies , I just thought would get 2000 IQd and outplayed constantly. I was wrong I do love the game
i have around 12 hours in spectre and i genuinely enjoy the game play. not a fan of the art style but still love the game so i hope that more people try it.
Me personally I was putting a lot of hours in valorant when I was seeing spectre divide ads on TH-cam so I gave it a shot, and without any of the bias other people may have after 10 hours I think it’s a really interesting game and I look forward to climbing the ranks however server/connection issues have been a small issue
So far I’ve been really enjoying the game. I’m coming from valorant and have tons of hours in valorant. I can easily say they are not the same AT ALL aside from the attack and defend genre. Duality is such a great and unique idea and really raises the skill ceiling which I believe is why some people don’t enjoy the game. At first I didn’t like the game much but I wanted to give it a chance and put more time in to try and understand it and now I love it and and working on grinding out of ruby to diamond and hopefully champion
Even the opinions on twitter are not anywhere close to being developed with a good reasoning, I personally feel like its an amazing game but it came out at the wrong time, has a lack of marketing in other countries/continents other than NA (Shroud was the only marketing that worked honestly) and got overshadowed by Deadlock, and IRL responsibilities, the UI and skin prices are exactly the same as Valorant, but copying 95% of the UI of other tac shooters wasn’t a great choice to attract players. - The skin prices, the cosmetics in general won’t attract as many people due to the fact that the devs are lacking reputation since it’s a new studio and its their first game (great devs btw). It’s not reputable, not as good looking as valorant’s animation and you can’t trade or sell it like CS. Even though it’s free to play, it’s still not attractive to people that usually buy skins in other games, because there’s no value in their skins, and no showing off to others because you can’t drop your skins (but they have to make money somehow which is understandable, I don’t mind the pricing, but providing more value would be great) also the grind for upgrading your skin is tedious but at least it’s free. Now the gameplay part: - The economy of this game feels way too balanced but in a bad way, the enemy team can literally have equal money to you, the same weapons advantage even tho they are losing, also you’re mostly stuck with under Tier 3 weapons most of the ranked game. - Not being able to buy 2 times the same gun or dropping guns/skins to others is honestly kinda annoying and limiting. - Performance, this game requires higher hardware to play than other tactical shooters (ex: in Valorant I have 600-700 fps easily, CS 400-500, this game is about 300-400 with a lot of fps drops, lag spikes and even stuttering might just be an AMD thing, mostly high settings in every game), as for the servers, I don’t know what type of servers they are using but it definitely feels less responsive, hit reg is mehh, might be placebo effect (are they using 64 ticks??) - Some sponsors are way too limited by the spectre mechanics, for example the full potential of umbra is only limited to when you have two bodies alive at the same place, Which is okay if their intention is to make a game that doesn’t rely as much on abilities/gadgets but it takes out the fun, natural feeling and outplay potential. - The skill ceiling, (except for spectre dynamics) is very limited in my opinion, recoil is ridiculously easily, you can full auto beam someone 80m away, the higher positioning and honestly the best positions on most maps are limited by using your spectre and not by skilled jumps. Also the rank system is kinda weird, the amount of randoms I get that don’t know how to play the game in emerald, ruby and diamond rank is astonishing, sure it’s a new game but how did they even get in those ranks?.?. It feels like they are giving away ranks for free. Also I keep meeting the same players, but that’s a playerbase issue I guess. - 3v3 (x2) on huge maps is hard without good communication, too many openings, flank opportunities and entering site as attackers is ridiculously easy (I’m in ruby ranked btw) usually the best defense strategy is to have 2 players B/A, other 2 bodies on A/B and 1 player mid with two bodies and a trap, but that’s counterintuitive because most sponsors need their 2nd bodies next to them to be effective while the Attackers can use their spectre freely. The other strat is 1 player with spectre on A, B and mid, but now you’re making it easier for the enemy team because you automatically have an inactive body and the others can’t help you fast enough, so it just becomes a game of retaking site, (hard to do if attackers have full utility and take advantage of their spectres which defenders can’t do as well)…if you think this is not true, you just haven’t met good players or a 3 stack in solo ranked - Anticheat needs work, I personally didn’t encounter an obvious cheater yet but I’ve heard of people saying they encountered a lot of them, kinda hard to tell without a replay system and it might be people crying over nothing, or an MMR issue, the difference in skill level in a rank can be ridiculous. - Spectre Dynamics, it just feels slow and clunky in some situations, especially with some sponsors, that’s why I mostly play Morgen and Vector. Other sponsors feel so limited in terms of spectre dynamics. Trying playing Morgen or Vector, it feels like a complete game in a better way. - No option to vault your teammates spectre, a spectre blocking your way happens more than you think, especially when your teammates place their spectre in the same corner that you put yours. Or spectres blocking small doorways.
I was also going to say the recoil in ADS was too forgiving, but I didn't, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like the guns (automatic rifles in particular) are laser beams.
Briefly played the playtest, and have been seshing it during my free time over the past few days. It's super fun, especially the duality mechanic, pulling off a play with your spectre is so satisfying. Big fan of the graphics, gunplay and overall feel of the game too (coming from someone with quite a few hours on Valorant)!
This game is great, been playing cs since 2004 then started playing valo ( was faceit lvl 10 and imm3 in valo ). I like how the gun play feels, being able to play two people is fun. I really hope it succeeds as it's a good time. I have about 150 hours and I have seen one cheater. I think people are way to quick to call people cheaters just cause they are having a good game.
I truly hope this game finds what it needs to succeed. I've been having a blast with the game and i'm like 60 hours in. I hope it can retain the playerbase it has now and gain new players over time. I would like to see some more maps, i think some gimmicky game modes would be awesome. But I have been having a blast, it feels competitive enough to keep my interest, but not too sweaty (imo)
For me, while I have awareness and interest in the game. I've been hesitant to play as I've struggled with tactical shooters like this in the past and am concerned about encountering extreme toxicity while I'm in my learning phase. It does look like it could be fun but I need a safe space to get warmed up to the new concepts before jumping in. If it has that, then, please let me know and I'll give it a try. A slight tangent. I miss the days of shooters being accompanied by a campaign where I could get comfortable with the feel, mechanics, and world before jumping into competitive play.
Spectre divide is now my main game,I was bored with valorant(immo), so I tried spectre divide and now have almost 90 hrs since release, and I play like 3-4 hrs per day currently Ruby 2, and tbh if spectre divide had more modes like deathmatch with career tab + more crew options, lesser skin prices or more animated skins since the release and the minimum compatibility specs to run the game lil lower like ryzen 3 compatible then more player would've sticked around. Great concept but lacks lore about duality. And I feel like there is not much content from this game ,it's just fun game to grind together with friends like the finals.
One thing that baffles me is some people saying the gunplay is ass, when it's literally my favorite thing in the game. Landing headshots with the reaver and spraying with the blackout are extremely satisfying for me and idk what those people are on about tbh. Also I've come to realize that the first bullet (at least) while hipfiring and standing still is accurate, so counter strafing and shooting like val/cs is valid with the reaver and i've had a lot of success with it. MY ONLY COMPLAINT is the optimization, they really need to work fast and hard on that, and we seriously need a deathmatch gamemode to warmup/chill I really hope season 1 is a success because this game really deserves a chance
The counter strafe hip fire is still there, but doesn't feel as quick to zero in after the opposite movement key is pressed. I didn't play CSGO, but I played Val, and I know Val gave you good hip fire accuracy just by halting your movement, not even requiring that counter-strafe.
Watching you and shroud's videos made me hop back into the game. Glad i did, its been a lot of fun! The gunplay feels more about controlling your aim than just crosshair placement and one taps which is nice. It feels more skill based than muscle memory which is hard to combat being new in a tac shooter like valorant. As someone who doesnt have a lot of time to game dally (maybe 2 to 3 hours a day) this feels more respectful of my time. I dont need to spend a half hour warming up, just hop in and click foreheads.
Been playing since launch and have loved every minute of my 70 hours put in lol. I could see other game modes or alot more maps would help for longevity of course. Biggest issue i have is playing ranked and getting stuck with afk players or significantly lower skill level randoms. But overall this game is solid imo, and coming from playing Val i enjoy it far more!
tbh, I really enjoy this game. And I really like what the developer has provided so far. As a streamer from Indonesia, I think I'm the only one streaming this game on Twitch with the Indonesian language tag. Almost no one I know from my community or the Indonesian Twitch community has mentioned or played this game off stream or on stream, in the last few weeks. It's not yet popular in Indonesia at the moment, from my observations so far. I really hope that many players from my country will try this game.
I mean I got access to the playtest and was so excited with how refreshing it looked. But it being locked to one input and it being the least common was super disappointing to see
CONTROLLER SUPPORT! For console players I don’t do mnk, like that’s only half of the gaming community. Also voice lines like characters saying jokes and stuff .
The fact is, this is a FPS that was missing on the market and I imagine how difficult it is to launch a shooter nowadays. I have a few points to say. First, I really liked the game, it's fun, tactical, challenging when it needs to be, it has competitive potential. Secondly, I'm from Brazil, here the marketing was almost 0. I follow some TH-camrs from other countries, it was from them that I discovered the game. Third, sometimes the game's Hit Registration fails. Sometimes you clearly hit an enemy and the shot doesn't count. Optimization in some situations, especially with gadgets, is not the best. But I keep playing, I just haven't played ranked yet, because I always encounter toxic players in matches and that discourages me from going to ranked.
Foda que eu tentei jogar via steam com proton, na teoria canal oficial, e os caras botaram uma trava pra não rodar no linux. Sendo que o battleye é 100% compatível. É literalmente um "if linux throw exception" no código
easily my favorite tac shooter rn. ill play for hours vs other games drain me quickly. sadly not many of my friends are as into it. but we're on the rank grind anyway!
I love playing the game and wish I had more time to grind it. I think I have about 30 hours played so far and I’m gold about to rank up. I feel as if at a quick glance this game looks like a carbon copy of any other shooter out right now. A hero game mode with a shop. It takes experiencing first hand how intricate the gameplay can feel to really bond with it. I think given time to grow and with a steady and loyal fan base this game will blossom over time.
To me it's the Q time. Ranked queue times are over 10 minutes, and if someone doesn't lock in, you have to requeue. I've given up multiple times and just played something else instead. I used to play casual because, for some reason, queue times shorter, but the latest update ruined the casuals; they made the economy way too easy, which takes the challenge out of it. Now, I don't even want to play casual, and ranked takes forever to find a match. I ended up trying Valorant again (a game I never liked), and surprisingly, I'm loving it now.
I do play the game, around 2 weeks after it came out. I played the beta, and thought "oh we are still at least 3-4 months away from a release" and I am pretty active online, I heard NOTHING about the game until I was looking for new games to play on steam. And I know I am not the only one who had this issue as my friends of whom I played the beta with also didnt know when the game would be out.
The game is amazing and I feel it's the most creative approach to a tactical shooter. As a solo player it is also much easier to coordinate a team of 3 instead of the usual 5. The only reason I am not playing is because there are no African servers. Most of the people who were playing in the beginning have left because of having an average of over 180ms ping. We love the game but it's unplayable for us in Africa.
I’ve played apex and valorant for many hours. I played counter strike since 1.6. This game has actually brought excitement I haven’t had since the first season of apex. It’s gunplay is fun it’s more arcade like and casual then try hard and sweaty like valorant. It doesn’t over power the abilities and focus more on gunplay. I think the issue is that they have expensive skins and a pretty bland interface and opening screen. But that’s what makes it like counter strike. You can hop it and hop out. It’s a traditional PC game. You play the game for the gameplay not for the colors, characters and music.
Bro nah this game is on my mind all day everyday since a few days ago I spent $40 bucks on my first day playing and it’s super addicting I love this game I even put down blood hunt and valorant and csgo to play this game, I love the creativity with this new game
Even if I was on mnk, I've been a season 1 player of apex legends and I'm just exhausted with the live service fps formula. 5 years of apex, the first season of the finals and a split second of warzone and I can honestly say I'm done with the comp. fps genre. SD looks great, and the mechanics seem rlly cool but I'm not learning mnk for ANOTHER comp. fps game. Luv u stay ❤
i was looking forward to this game. i even blocked out some work stuff to spend time on it on launch but since i use a vm software (shadow) and dont really have any other means of playing, i got blocked. i was hoping it wasnt going to repeat what valorant did but alas. here we are. sucks.
I would like to thanks Xenon from mountaintop for fulfilling my request on some purchase issues. Xenon didnt have to help me because I am pretty sure it was my mistake not to be more careful on how purchase works however Xenon went the extra miles and upon receiving the information of my request, it was done within hours..
I think the game still feels like it’s in beta. Menus are weird some functionality is missing. I think more content creators need to get a hold of this game and run some community tournaments soon to get it going
tbh i really do enjoy when i play spectre for the most part, but i was truly shocked that they released it when they did, and was even more shocked to find out it was only a week early than intended. to me, this game needed to be in the oven for a little longer. then for them to release it without career, battlepass, or ranked (initially) was just a slap in the face. right now it has no defining differences to its competitors, other than you having a second body but the fundamental feeling while playing and the overall gameplay is not any different. what i mean to say is that there is no reason for me to chose to play spectre divide over valorant. for starters, i think they need to lean into this comic book aesthetic they have going on right now. make the abilites, animations, characters, etc. all have a comic book feel using onomatopoeias, bright colors, soundboard noises, fuck if i know. just something that seperates this from being a "valorant copy with two bodies" also, there are some UI additions that I think could be useful, like being able to know when your spectre is getting hurt, scanned by wavescan, in a molly, etc. like a little sidebar that shows its health atleast. I cant think of others but if i do i will come back and edit this. overall i think this game could be fun and even pretty popular but they are going to need to change something to make it really stand out.
I love the game so far , but it really needs some changes , both for ppl already playing it and for new ppl to try it . 1. Drop down the special abilities to 2 instead of 3 . when every1 starts simultaneously using abilities it can get chaotic in a bad way . 2. The pinnacle nades are clunky to use , either make the blast radius bigger for the frag or just let us be able to cook it . also gettin flashed 150 meters away is kinda dumb and leads to flashin teammates all the time . 3. Smoke shifting is too OP atm and needs to go . Playing against players that really know how to use that makes it almost intolerable . They appear out of everywhere , u cant secure ANY area and tactical goes out the window . Throwable pucks are just fine for that escape factor' , altho i wouldnt mind reducing tha radius of the puck throw 4. The spectre decoy for sure has to be limited in one time use per round and also getting located after shooting it is too much . Almost impossible not to shoot it and pinpointing my spectre is too much . Hearing my gunfire should be enough for the decoy user to realise my position . 5. All kinds of smoke grenades last way too long . 10 and 12 sec is just TOO MUCH , especialy considering the round is less than 2 min . 5 sec should be enough , top 7 , giving u enough time to escape, plant or defuse . 6. Let us buy each gun individually . I might be wrong but not all combinations are available . Left click, right click for each spectre . 7. The hitboxes with some guns and the dmg values sometimes look rough . F.E. last night i gave 2 body shots with magnum , dealed 44 dmg somehow . Now for new ppl to try it .. 1. Include a mode without abilities , every1 is carryin 1 frag and 1 flash or 1 smoke . There is a HUGE player base (including me altho i am willing to try to ignore sometimes ,depending on if i am enjoying the rest of the game mechanics ) that despises magic shit . The vectre duality is enough . 2. Exclude 3 stacked teams from casual mode . Almost impossible to beat , or even compete against a full communicating team with no comms on ur team . Can make the experience really bad for new players . 3. Up the round timer a bit . Rounds are too short . 4. Reduce the starting round timer at least in ranked . I am feeling i am losing time for no reason and sometimes a match can go for more than half an hour.10 -15 sec is more than enough time for a ranked guy that knows what he is doing at the start of the round . 5. I havent checked stats or something but from personal experience it feels like the Headshot Hitbox is too big . I had full matches that both my kills and my deaths were maybe over 70% HS , which is unusual to say the least . IMO , make the Hitbox a bit smaller and more rewarding , any gun within any distance should be 1 shot kill to the head . 6. Include a 'mix teams' vote in casual . Almost impossible to win if u get matchmaked a teammate that has very few hours in the game . Its not 2v3 , its 4v6 and with the spectre changes is just too much . Kinda huge answer , i know , but i really like the game and it would be a shame for it not to be succesful in the long run . There is so much potential here .Hate too see most of my friends not even willing to try cuz they saw a utube video and decided instantly that magic spheres and shit aint their style . We re talking about players with more than 8000 hrs in shooters. Just for reference our backround is PUBG , AAPG and some COD ( when it was still playable for MnK .)
personally, I love the game so far, I'm not great by any measure usually bottom fragging but I am having a lot of fun, personally, I think there are a couple of core issues I have with the game is matchmaking(if you're solo queueing with other solo players there's a chance you get matched with a full stack that's playing together and often times the difference in combined skill and comms is overwhelmingly oppressive), even though they buffed sponsor speed I feel like it can use a small boost at least at the later levels as it felt like a slog to get those final two tiers(maybe its just cause I don't win consistently but idk) and a thing that is mentioned in the video but I did want to expand on was that the shop prices are just too much. especially with there being no way to earn currency in the game $48 USD for a weapon bundle, or 12(I think I could be off but it's around there) for a single weapon, is a very steep jump from most other shooters. and I wish I could buy these things or be given the opportunity to grind and earn them but the massive price tag presented is just too much to justify the purchase. also I hope we get more maps soon(not really a problem with the game but just a wish of mine)
On some real shit. Ive been playin since day one. And loved it ever since. Full time job but still have to play a few matches everyday. Only game i play on pc rn literally. Addicted 💯 like it more than any other tac shooter ive played. And ive played them all.
I love this game, but the lack of new content for 4 months or whenever the 1st season launches will hurt player retention. During the beta, the hype was high. People were watching twitch for keys and trying to the play it. Now its quiet and content is dry. I really hope this game succeds!
Since Spectre Divide came out it has been my main multi-player game. I know it had some issues on day 1 and within the first two weeks. I also know that the team seems to be working hard on making the game more stable and responding to feedback (store price changes). I think beyond the obvious problem of traditional tac shooters dunking on the game, Spectre also faces the issue of being on the same platform as CS which makes it hard for the game to be very visible. I also feel like the game is severely undercovered by games media (game only has 4 reviews on metacritic) and undermarketed. I also know for a fact that many of the reviews on Steam are based on like an hour or less of playtime and are about problems that are nonexistent already just a few weeks later. This game seriously doesnt deserve the hate. I feel tempted to make videos myself on this game just to do my part in spreading awareness because this game has surprising tactical depth, depth to its mechanics, and what I feel are generational leaps to QOL in the tac shooter genre minimap info, placing character and spectre on map, etc.) I want to see this game succeed. It's the first tac shooter that has grabbed me (love the ADS run and gun and spectre mechanics), and I'm trying to do everything I can to support the devs and content creators grinding this game.
I think they just released it too early. I was shocked to not see deathmatch and offline mode at release. It can get very repetitive to play the same mode and it's also very difficult to practice with how the custom mode works now. You kinda have to learn on your mistakes in casual or ranked which seems counter productive. It gets multiplied by how overwhelming the gameplay is at first. That being said, i'm hopeful as you can see a genuine care from the devs.
The game can be fun, every time I play its enjoyable but it's not enough, to me the game needs to feel rewarding to keep playing it and rn it just misses the mark for me. I got a couple issue with it as a player with around 60 hours of active playtime. 1. The buying system is too restrictive, I do understand that they want to have both spectre's of equal power however it takes away from the possibility of having cool eco strats in game, like having one with a rifle to anchor a site while the other with a pistol to push aggressively to either do damage or force the enemy into the other site. 2. The map design feels detached from the gunplay in certain spots so it feels terrible to take fights. Like there's an angle that you have to take fast and take a fight however to do both in this game is impossible due to the nature of the ADS. They could either redesign the map geometry or increase the movement speed by a factor while in ADS cause rn it feels like I'm crawling through mud. 3. This is a bit of a nitpick however I dislike the artstyle because it feels uncommitted, the borderlands style I love however what really made it pop was the vibrant and odd colors, this game doesn't really have that, if they increased the vibrance or made a flashier color palette for the game I'm sure it would be more enjoyable. 4. The map design again, it feels like it lacks variety and complexity, it feels like every map plays the same except for "commons" to me. Even though it is smaller scale with the 3v3 (x2) I still believe that you need to change up the focus of each map and have little quirks that keeps it interesting and becomes the central focus point of tactical decisions.
Stay, first just want to say I love your content and keep up the good work! I have 40hrs on the game and am currently plat 4. I enjoy the unique aspect the game brings to the fps scene but that doesn't come without its downfalls. Personally, its the little things that bother me. The fact that almost every other ranked game I am facing a 3 stack even tho there is a dedicated mode for that is quite annoying and makes the experience frustrating. Also the fact that I can be switching to a specter or using util and accidentally fat finger caps or tab and open up the map or scoreboard and have to close it again before i can fight is annoying. Like why not just have an option to toggle it? Same with career and damage reports. Why cant i see the damage report for the whole round? It will only display the damage from the last person I fought so I cant give info to my teammates about the first fight I took...Plus launching the game with a career section doesn't seem like that much of a stretch. Honestly annoying I cant see my progress and match history after I end a game. Also the micro mechanics just feel a little bit clunky to me. If you are in a 1v1 clutch trying to fake diffuse it takes your character 5 years to tap and get off to fight not to mention all the other mechanics that also feel like they take forever to use. (In comparison to Val IMO). Truly do enjoy the game but I think for the casual fps player looking for a different experience from val or cs the game just need a little bit more refining to be able to compete. Its okay to be similar to other fps games bc it will always have its own unique aspect (specters).
The real problem is that the game feels lonely to play unless you're queueing with friends. You only have two teammates. They may have to consider a gamemode where they add a fourth player per team and making much bigger maps, as fucked as that sounds
The game is fun and the concept is fresh. There are in game issues like Econ that should be addressed (unlocks feel like they take too long), but overall those are fixable. I think they really turned people off with their initial skin prices, and the game launched without some of the typical content you’d expect from a game like this, notably a battle pass etc. I understand that is coming, but then maybe they should have waited to launch. You only get one first impression, and based on the player count trends I worry this might slowly bleed out. I still enjoy playing the game, but unfortunately for them deadlock is also now playable and has been taking a lot of my time, and I feel like I’m not the only one in that boat (even Shroud has been streaming deadlock more than spectre). Hoping it survives, the concept is great and the 3v3 dynamic makes it a great game to grind with a couple buddies
I’m completely brand new into the whole tac-shooter genre, and Specter is genuinely the main game that can keep my attention. I’ve tried Val before, but being hip fire heavy and having movement cause your aim to not be as accurate just doesn’t appeal to me. While specter does have a lot of complicated mechanics and fundamentals to learn, I actually enjoy my time learning even if I’m losing every game going negative. I also love the fact that there is no gaming winning ultimate and that the abilities aren’t crazy like Val or like Overwatch which has been my main game since 2019.
love the game also really love the concept of duality it is just something different but its not optimized at all , huge amounts of stuttering its just not playable for us lower end pc's
Specter Divide has a very similar UI experience to Valorant. The gameplay is definitely different, but I do think the visual experience is unfortunately making new players see it as a Valorant clone before even loading into the tutorial. The art style just adds to that bias unfortunately. As for gameplay, I do think there is potential. I am not sold on the current maps for a 3v3 experience but I've only played each a handful of times so far. Edit: There are also some settings that I feel should have more depth to them. Additionally the custom game option is way too basic for a modern shooter like this... Let us set change the buy time, round time etc. for the sake of testing, practice or just fun with friends.
People tend to overestimate the influence of Twitch streamers. Shroud, TenZ, and iiTzTimmy are *not* substitutes for a traditional game publisher. Game publishers not only have massive marketing budgets, but they also know how to sustain conversations around a game for extended periods. It doesn't help that "Shroud's Game" isn't being played by Shroud daily, and to top it off, it's only available on Steam! Where's the release for Switch, Xbox, or PlayStation? That's not even taking into account the competition that is already on the market (CS and Valorant).
I personally have hated every game with the bomb plant game mode intil this game. Having 2 lives makes it much less frustrating to die as you have a second chance. Not to mention to the tactical flexibility of the second body is pretty cool. Personally dont think its hard to learn the mechanics at all
I'm really enjoying Spectre for a variety of reasons. I love the gameplay, I love how unique it is with both your character and your Spectre, and I personally love the art style. I'm also an indie game dev myself and I love that it was developed by an Indie studio, and that Shroud went out of his way to work with an indie studio to create this game. Something about that is just so awesome to me. I actually had heard of MountainTop prior to this game being released. At one point I was going to apply to work there however, they were only hiring for senior dev positions and I have only been a dev for a few years so I'm still very much in the Junior dev realm. Anyways, I really think this game has shown what happens when gamers work with good developers who also love games: they make a great product and aren't held by any sort of corporate restrictions or deadlines. I certainly see where a lot of people's constructive criticism comes from (at least, the real constructive criticism). And, I also understand that this game is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. Which is fine. But, I do think there are gonna be a lot of us who stick with this game and keep it alive for sure. It may end up being a niche, smaller community, but it'll be there.
Please everyone, keep in mind this is my own opinions, thanks While i like the game Think the "duality" is something fun But, for me the game sometimes just feels empty, gunplay can feel a bit slow and the weapons just feels a bit.. boring idk how to explain it better. 3V3 fits the game well, but not having spaces for my friends makes it a bit akward. For me i do prefer to play Cs2, and probably will stick to that as my main game But sometimes it can be fun to play Spectre devide when being 3 people
I'm not a tac shooter guy, and wouldn't have ever tried this game if it wasn't for a friend of mine insisting on it. I personally didn't think the duality feature was something I would be able to wrap my head around. I picked it up the day after launch and have been having a blast with it since. I think it's a great game and I'm super bummed that it's getting so much hate. I agree with your take on people not having a unique opinion of the game. Not many people are even willing to try it out. They see their favorite youtuber say it's trash, and that's all they need to know.
The ranked queue time is what is an issue for me. Being a valorant player, the ranked que taking upwards of 5mins when i'm in the beginner ranks is a real deal breaker. I like the game and the core concept really much. Anyone saying that its a valorant knockoff are just bullshitting. One thing that I would like changed is increasing the round counts for ranked. I think the game finishes too quickly
idk, the thing for me, would you swap your main game for this game, I personally wouldn't swap from val to spectre but i do enjoy playing the game here and there
To be honest, I'm lazy about the gameplay. Having to dedicate time to a new game with new mechanics, especially with this whole controlling two characters at the same time, with their abilities, etc. It really makes me lazy. Because of the time, because I don't have that much time to dedicate it to a new ip and because I already play several like Fortnite, Apex, the single player ones that I play, I don't have space to learn something new that requires developing high skill.
I loved SnD back in the day on COD so I have been drawn to the Tac Shooter genre. I gave both VAL and CS a shot as well(50hr CS and more in Val). I don't think they are bad, but I don't like the gunplay of them. Too much punishment for simple moving for me to enjoy. I enjoy the gunplay in SD. Duality is fun as well once you get the hang of it. Your first outplay when you use both to win a round when you are outnumbered is thrilling. I love the art style, but I also loved Borderlands. I could care less about the price of anything in a FTP game. THEY ARE NOT A PRIVLEDGE. Don't buy the stuff. The prices are not that far off from VAL and you don't have buy an extra currency to unlock variants of stuff you already purchased. You also don't have to gamble for some ridiculous percent chance at a cosmetic like CS. In SD I like the way you can mix and match different parts from different cosmetics to customize your characters. Lastly, the devs listen and communicate so much. This alone makes me want to support more. Completely underrated especially the way people talk to others online when behind a keyboard.
I think this game has a good chance to see a lot of success on Console. Iron out the kinks then launch it on console. The Aim Down sights focus is more approachable for a controller.
Also, imagine confidently commenting talking shit about a game that you have never played, don't even have a PC, therefore you don't have experience with the game you are comparing it too. Then comparing the numbers to a game with no similarities beside FPS from a giant company like EA. Brain Dead
I believe the main issue is that the game’s release timing has hurt its visibility, especially since Deadlock has captured a lot of attention from streamers and content creators. Additionally, being developed by a smaller studio, rather than an established name like Valve or Riot, makes it harder to compete for attention. That said, I hope the game’s popularity will grow over time, particularly as more streamers showcase it. When Shroud and Tenz played in the tournament, it brought a lot more eyes to the game, which shows the potential for growth with influencer support. In my opinion, it’s the most unique and fun FPS game I’ve played in a while, and I already have over 27 hours logged. However, my biggest issue is with the monetization model. I’m not happy that you have to pay to upgrade gun animations. I believe when you buy a gun, it should come with all its features from the start. This was also a frustration I had with Valorant, and it’s why I stopped buying skins there.
@@FyXeeu yes that’s is true however levelling up the skins seems to take a lot of time so maybe they could adjust that. Also I feel like if you’re gonna pay a decent amount of money for the skin why can’t they give you all the animations and maybe have the colour variations as the upgrades instead?
I think the best release time would have be about the time it did release, which is a few months before COD, but not too early that it still feels like an alpha state game. COD drags a lot of players, and Frag Punk, which will be a TAC genre competitor early next year, needed to be avoided in my opinion. COD was the biggest one to avoid. You don't want to be a shooter releasing as the same time as COD.
I was looking forward to play a lot of this game, but honestly... for people who have active social lives and / or full time jobs, you just want to drop in, play a fun solo queue ranked game, and there's no proper solo queue system. You're always put in a random team against premades. I don't think I've ever played a single ranked game that wasn't against a premade. Most people don't have the patience or the time to join a discord, try to find a team that isn't dogshit, and then queue up only to end up playing a single game and having to leave. It can't be this hard to make a solo queue system that's balanced and works as intended. But Competitive FPS seem unable to achieve a proper system for solo queue.
I stopped playing because of MMR. Most of the times I was getting matched with bad teammates and absolute monsters of enemy teams. That also happens in other games, but for some reason, this game is way worse
So the comment about valorant prices on day 1 is not true, since valorant launched with I think the prime bundle which is still to this day a goated bundle at 71 dollars meanwhile spectre was trying to charge 90 dollars for basically recolors for guns. Prime had a unique reload animation, and a unique last kill animation, I loved the prime bundle, it was the first bundle I got but I can't see myself forking over 90 or even 70 dollars for the bundles in spectre
I think that steamcharts only hurts games. It created the illusion that every game must have 100k players, otherwise it has no future. Look at Hunt Showdown, that game had under 10k concurrent playerbase for years and yet here we are.
I really enjoy the game however it’s missing the “ epic factor “ for example when you win the game it feels really anticlimactic with the announcer just saying “attackers have won the match”. Games like fortune with their slowmo victory royal and music or warzone with the extract animations feels a lot more deserved.
I think people are literally forgetting that CS and Valorant have been out for a while now compared to a new game. There are a LOT of things wrong with both CS and Valorant that people deal with because thats what theyre used to... spectre divide JUST came out not even a month ago- maybe a month ago soon. I dont think its fair to compare 'watch time' for games in this case. Like you mentioned, a lot of these people are using bandwagon to hate on the game when they havent even played. I hate how miserable the gaming community and fps community has become because a game like this has me so hype to see its success and i havent been this excited for an fps game in a while. Valorant has become so stale and the gameplay is both boring and overstimulating because of the constant changes 9abilities, map changes, exploits and so on) so to see the toxicity come from the game and move to SD is saddening to me. i am hoping that as time moves on player will give it more of a chance and that it will take off like it deserves to. Ive had friend who also said 'its just a valo wannabe' but then when they play they actually felt the game was fun and refreshing. People just need to use their OWN brains to make their OWN decisions. i dont get instantly using statistics and nukbers on a game thats barely even been out... it makes no sense.
I'm surprised by how many players act like NPCs. Have Valorant and CSGO programmed them to only hip fire because those games don't offer ADS like others? It’s ridiculous.
I feel like cheating is a big problem in high elo lobbies. Once I hit Diamond4/Ruby the game became unplayable. Every game it seemed to be like someone was either cheating on my team or the other team. At that point I quickly started losing interest and felt like playing the game was pointless. Nearly every competitive shooter struggles to have a decent anti-cheat besides Valorant. PC gaming sucks right now.
I think the steam reviews are stopping people from playing. And it doesn't help that all the content creators on it are just showing off insane skill plays instead of how fun the mechanics are. So even when people move past the steam reviews, they're still scared off by the content being pushed on it. But it's a great game even at lower level play. Fun abilities and me personally. I just love knowing that I can swing something and die and still get a second chance instead of having to just wait the rest of the round out. It's more gametime. Who doesn't love being able to play more?
The game is enjoyable, but it feels somewhat soulless, with little to do beyond ranked or casual play. The crew concept is a great idea, but it doesn’t seem to be working, as many crews feel inactive. It would have been better to give players the option to create their own crews.
Love Spectre Divide and the whole concept, but no Indian servers = high ping pain. Started in beta with two friends, but they bailed for Valorant (20 ping life, I get it). I hit Plat 3, but now I’m losing interest too-playing solo just ain't it. The game’s all about squad vibes, and without my crew, it’s just me and the lag!
I've been having fun with this game. But then, suddenly at high elo you would find yourself queuing up against a lot of cheaters. Some of them would even tell you how to get it. It's free and undetectable. That's one of the biggest issue in this game, and I could say that's one of the main reason why people leave the game.
Been playing FPS games since the original Wolfestein 3D back in 1993. To me, I'm simply tired of hero/ability shooters but mostly, it's the idea of "duality" that has put me off even trying this game despite me finding the visuals really appealing (Borderlands fan). I don't have the time, the will and the strenght to try decipher a new "revolutionary" take on the genre. TLDR; tired of hero/ability shooters, don't like 1-life plant the bomb shooters, the "new" aspect of duality seems more like an annoying thing I'll have to work around to just have fun shooting people. Plus, looking at the game population, I really don't want to invest time learning something that will be dead in a few months.
I think this game need to be on console asap! So people can know the game more and see how good it it's! If is takes forever to release on console, people will lose interest and move on (the finals, apex, black opa 6) and so on
yo stay i watched ypu live, tip, you need to stop throwing smokes when you show yourself just to throw it, you will always get caught off guard when someone is looking in your angle
Please share your reasons for playing or not wanting to play! Every bit of feedback is helpful 🤝
I'm ready to play it but just cannot play mnk. As soon as they drop controller support id install
@@edpaul3515 That makes sense, the feel is really important!
I really enjoy the game and hope 1st season will be a success 🙏
Same bro hope more people start playing. The 5 minute q times throw me off I feel like lol
I love everything about the game tbh. The only thing they gotta do is change the economy a bit, increase the speed at which you unlock sponsors (or just make em all unlocked from the start cuz people are tired of unlocking stuff in every game these days), and start putting out new sponsors, maps and the usual stuff asap.
im fine with the unlocking from things but a bit faster would be good
Unlock all of them on casual game mode so ppl can know what character fits them and their play style better and make them unlock it for ranked
@@tokyofps3245I like this
@@tokyofps3245 That sounds cool on paper but i think most competitive players (myself included) would just like to grind ranked all day and not think about anything else haha. Also people can already try out all of the classes in the practice range. I understand why they made it how it is but just having 4 classes at the start is too little imo. They should at least give people the option to unlock 2 of the 4 locked classes after they finish the 5 casual games required for unlocking ranked.
I like the unlock system for the most part. It gives meaning even to matches where I completely fumble the bag 😂
i think it needs faster progression for sponsors and more maps
They just buffed w key movement speed in the last patch thankfully!
i'd say that people are unsure whether the game will exist in a year (with a healthy player base).
@@alexanderisraelsson6516 bruh that last take was a foul
Here is my take on the game after playing it for 3 weeks:
PROS:
1) Duality gimmick is cool, but within the overall scheme of movement, moving slow plus the slow amount of time it took to transport your character cross map, made the game feel super clunky, but to their credit, they fixed the movement, so it feels much better now.
CONS:
1) FPS drops, Lag spikes, Server latency, etc.
(edit): Matter fact the boosted economy in unranked is bad, because I have no reason to buy anything other than tier 4 and 5
I've uninstalled the game twice in one week. Before, when those games were establishing themselves, there may have not been much competition to kill them in their infancy, but now the class based TAC shooter genre is starting to become crowded, and Valorant, R6S, and CSGO already dominate the genre as it is.
i sadly read some of this and i have one question for you, have u escaped out of ur closet this year?
Or attract a playerbase that is not there...
I enjoyed my time on Spectre Divide, but I've honestly been locked-in to The Finals. Can't get enough of it. S4 on the way woot woot
Now the gameplay part:
- The economy of this game feels way too balanced but in a bad way, the enemy team can literally have equal money to you, the same weapons advantage even tho they are losing, also you’re mostly stuck with under Tier 3 weapons most of the ranked game.
- Not being able to buy 2 times the same gun or dropping guns/skins to others is honestly kinda annoying and limiting.
- Performance, this game requires higher hardware to play than other tactical shooters (ex: in Valorant I have 600-700 fps easily, CS 400-500, this game is about 300-400 with a lot of fps drops, lag spikes and even stuttering might just be an AMD thing, mostly high settings in every game), as for the servers, I don’t know what type of servers they are using but it definitely feels less responsive, hit reg is mehh, might be placebo effect (are they using 64 ticks??)
- Some sponsors are way too limited by the spectre mechanics, for example the full potential of umbra is only limited to when you have two bodies alive at the same place, Which is okay if their intention is to make a game that doesn’t rely as much on abilities/gadgets but it takes out the fun, natural feeling and outplay potential.
The other strat is 1 player with spectre on A, B and mid, but now you’re making it easier for the enemy team because you automatically have an inactive body and the others can’t help you fast enough, so it just becomes a game of retaking site, (hard to do if attackers have full utility and take advantage of their spectres which defenders can’t do as well)…if you think this is not true, you just haven’t met good players or a 3 stack in solo ranked
- Anticheat needs work, I personally didn’t encounter an obvious cheater yet but I’ve heard of people saying they encountered a lot of them, kinda hard to tell without a replay system and it might be people crying over nothing, or an MMR issue, the difference in skill level in a rank can be ridiculous.
I just hope the devs/studio keeps supporting the game. Even if its a smaller dedicated playerbase, the game is still really fun.
If someone with a Duster clicks heads 3 times in a row, they will automatically call them a cheater lol.
Played valo for 2k hours almost never complain about cheater but in this game
MY ONLY COMPLAINT is the optimization, they really need to work fast and hard on that, and we seriously need a deathmatch gamemode to warmup/chill
I really hope season 1 is a success because this game really deserves a chance
The counter strafe hip fire is still there, but doesn't feel as quick to zero in after the opposite movement key is pressed. I didn't play CSGO, but I played Val, and I know Val gave you good hip fire accuracy just by halting your movement, not even requiring that counter-strafe.
@@Eastra3 yeah, no-movement hipfire first bullet is accurate, at least in my experience
@@IsotopeTheCasual yeah, but I'm not talking about standing still for a second already. I mean the instant after you stopped moving.
@@Eastra3 yeah that's what I mean by counter strafing, you shoot in the moment of stillness between movements
@@IsotopeTheCasual ok ok.
I played a game of Valorant after a lot of Spectre Divide and I can confirm the gameplay is NOTHING alike
But it being locked to one input and it being the least common was super disappointing to see
Spectre divide is the only game I look forward to playing after coming home form work
CONTROLLER SUPPORT! For console players I don’t do mnk, like that’s only half of the gaming community. Also voice lines like characters saying jokes and stuff .
I think this game would do great if they ported it to consoles as well
The fact is, this is a FPS that was missing on the market and I imagine how difficult it is to launch a shooter nowadays.
I like the art style and the gameplay tbh game just clicked with me, here’s hoping it has a future
Im getting a pc in like a month, and plan on downloading spectre divide as my first game. I hope it doesnt die before then
Even if I was on mnk, I've been a season 1 player of apex legends and I'm just exhausted with the live service fps formula.
Yeah, most live service games are still in "beta form" for a good year after launch.
tbh i really do enjoy when i play spectre for the most part, but i was truly shocked that they released it when they did, and was even more shocked to find out it was only a week early than intended. to me, this game needed to be in the oven for a little longer. then for them to release it without career, battlepass, or ranked (initially) was just a slap in the face.
right now it has no defining differences to its competitors, other than you having a second body but the fundamental feeling while playing and the overall gameplay is not any different. what i mean to say is that there is no reason for me to chose to play spectre divide over valorant.
for starters, i think they need to lean into this comic book aesthetic they have going on right now. make the abilites, animations, characters, etc. all have a comic book feel using onomatopoeias, bright colors, soundboard noises, fuck if i know. just something that seperates this from being a "valorant copy with two bodies"
also, there are some UI additions that I think could be useful, like being able to know when your spectre is getting hurt, scanned by wavescan, in a molly, etc. like a little sidebar that shows its health atleast.
Throwable pucks are just fine for that escape factor' , altho i wouldnt mind reducing tha radius of the puck throw
I feel tempted to make videos myself on this game just to do my part in spreading awareness because this game has surprising tactical depth, depth to its mechanics, and what I feel are generational leaps to QOL in the tac shooter genre minimap info, placing character and spectre on map, etc.)
I want to see this game succeed. It's the first tac shooter that has grabbed me (love the ADS run and gun and spectre mechanics), and I'm trying to do everything I can to support the devs and content creators grinding this game.
its different and ton of people are still discovering it
I think they just released it too early.
Needs optimization!
We need season one sooner than 4 months I hate to say it….
I also love the fact that there is no gaming winning ultimate and that the abilities aren’t crazy like Val or like Overwatch which has been my main game since 2019.
yeah, having no ultimate was a good choice.
love the game also really love the concept of duality it is just something different but its not optimized at all , huge amounts of stuttering its just not playable for us lower end pc's
Edit:
There are also some settings that I feel should have more depth to them.
I'd enjoy playing this way more than Valorant if it came to console. Sick of not being able to strafe in gunfights
I personally have hated every game with the bomb plant game mode intil this game. Having 2 lives makes it much less frustrating to die as you have a second chance. Not to mention to the tactical flexibility of the second body is pretty cool. Personally dont think its hard to learn the mechanics at all
Yo bro, im playing anything you play 😂
When you move I'll move also
Holy glaze fest
Please everyone, keep in mind this is my own opinions, thanks
While i like the game
Think the "duality" is something fun
But, for me the game sometimes just feels empty, gunplay can feel a bit slow and the weapons just feels a bit.. boring idk how to explain it better.
3V3 fits the game well, but not having spaces for my friends makes it a bit akward.
For me i do prefer to play Cs2, and probably will stick to that as my main game
But sometimes it can be fun to play Spectre devide when being 3 people
i enjoy the game but it just needs some work im hoping with the new maps theyll be able to turn the flow of the maps around
This game is great. Hope it dosnt die.
Brain Dead
We need a career and economy rework. Tbh its good game i really loved to play.
Don’t need to buy skin upgrades, you can unlock with exp, but yes it takes a ridiculous amount of time to fully upgrade them
@@FyXeeu yes that’s is true however levelling up the skins seems to take a lot of time so maybe they could adjust that.
It needs to become its on beast. 💯
I didn’t wanna try it because it just looks so ugly
I really love this game I want to see it succeed so bad
I think the steam reviews are stopping people from playing. And it doesn't help that all the content creators on it are just showing off insane skill plays instead of how fun the mechanics are. So even when people move past the steam reviews, they're still scared off by the content being pushed on it. But it's a great game even at lower level play. Fun abilities and me personally. I just love knowing that I can swing something and die and still get a second chance instead of having to just wait the rest of the round out. It's more gametime. Who doesn't love being able to play more?
The Finals season 4 is coming out in 4 days, will you be playing?
The game is enjoyable, but it feels somewhat soulless, with little to do beyond ranked or casual play. The crew concept is a great idea, but it doesn’t seem to be working, as many crews feel inactive. It would have been better to give players the option to create their own crews.
TenZ playing Spectre Divide with Shroud will give it a boost I think
I've to wait for 5 mins toh get a match and im not that patient
I’ve played one word optimisation
I think this game need to be on console asap! So people can know the game more and see how good it it's! If is takes forever to release on console, people will lose interest and move on (the finals, apex, black opa 6) and so on
yo stay i watched ypu live, tip, you need to stop throwing smokes when you show yourself just to throw it, you will always get caught off guard when someone is looking in your angle
