    Give the Everest a go. My 2017 Everest has 150k. It's taken the family up and down the eastern seaboard many times with a loaded trailer in tow. It's a beautiful riding SUV that has been a pleasure to drive. No issues, no squeaks, no problems.

    Hey good video Keelan I'm a ranger owner and happy, but i do agree about putting 3.5t behind them is not logical and a lot of marketing hype, its also the same with Dmax , hilux etc any of the other dual cab utes in that sector that claim the same is technically correct? But in the real world it's not practical. if you need to tow 3.5 ton you need to step up to a bigger size shirt?

If it wasn’t for the funny GCM rating that miss leading I would be all for it!! Yeah it’s not just Ford rangers that’s right!! I havnt driven any though so can’t really comment! Thought NZ was a great test for the ranger! Thanks for the comment! 🤙🏽🍻

  • @Greg-jn8cc
    @Greg-jn8cc 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    As a long term Ranger owner, what you say about legal tow weights is correct. A Ranger, aside from the new model, cannot tow 3500kgs in any practical legal sense. About 3100kgs is its limit.
    I have a 2015 PX1 3.2 6 speed auto, which has now towed our 3 tonne van over most of Australia.
    In fact it has recently completed it 5th trip across the continent and back with the van on the back plus a number of shorter more local trips.
    The only issue we have ever had with the vehicle was a split turbo hose from the intercooler to the throttle body on the last trip, which was easily repaired with a new hose. Other than that the vehicle has been utterly reliable.
    Comfort wise we feel that the comfort levels are very good and we came out of a coil sprung vehicle to the Ranger and think that the Ranger is more comfortable. With it's long wheelbase it rides very well. We have the Wildtrak model.
    We do use a weight distribution hitch which does smooth out some of the bumps a little although with it's inbuilt trailer stability control the Ranger is an excellent tow vehicle to start with.
    Would I buy another one? Absolutely! Love my Ranger and will be looking at the new V6 model at some future point.

    • @smil1264
      @smil1264 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Similar to my experience. But not much distance travelled yet. Important to set up the hitch so that on level ground, the van is basically level when hitched. Keelans didn't look level.

      I tow my 2.5T caravan with a 2019 Colorado. No trouble 👍
      I put a set of Airbagman & Toughdog adjustable shocks on the rear….perfect 👌
      Levels the vehicle with 20psi & no bouncing. Makes towing very comfortable.
      I’ve ordered the new Ranger V6 Sport with the touring pack.
      The clincher was the power/torque & the rear wheel disc brakes 👍

    Love your videos Keelan. I have owned a 3.2 Ranger and currently have a BiTurbo 10sp and the BiTurbo tows our heavy Horse float way more easily although our 3.2 was still very good. With the 3.2 we towed in “S” mode as per the manual and it seemed better. As we have a new Titanium van arriving in 8 weeks which should tow at about 3000 - 3100kg I have ordered the new V6 Wildtrak… mainly for the 6400 GCM
    Keep up the great work…

  • @Africoz2

    Australia is one of the only countries that allows the tow to weigh more than the towing vehicle in the private/recreation vehicle space. There has to be a good reason for that I presume, and simple physics would suggest the if the tow weighs more that the tug, the tow is in charge of the tug when shit gets real, rather than the other way around. Those massive land-barges you see being towed by 2 tonne tare dual cabs are just accidents looking for a place happen IMO and I have no doubt most of those highly accessorised dual cabs are way over their GVM when hitched, if not their GCM too. If GVM/GCM/axle loadings etc were strictly enforced here, most of those rigs would be off the road. Thanks for the vid, love your work!

    Certainly are correct about bad reviews and on line there are so many BS fan boys and idiots who want to tow at the limit all the time. I had a personal discussion with one particular anti Ranger person with all these bad experiences and when I asked him about his car he had never had a Ranger just spat out BS. As for a real issue Toyota has a massive problem which has a bill of over two billion dollars for selling unreliable diesel cars flooded with issues yet some how these are unbreakable. Give me a new Hilux I am certain I can break it and it won't take long. Cars are big investments and if you are going to tow all the time with 3500kg then get a F150 or similar all the Utes and for that matter Landcruiser etc should not have more than 3000kg behind them.

    I bought a new Wildtrak, 3.2 diesel, straight five, assembled in Thailand - so, no AdBlue. Delivered in Oct 2021. $78K base, now $112K. If you don't spend the money for long term, you'll fail somewhere eventually.
    Straight engines have a better torque response than V-engines, they have a drive-line lash - it's unavoidable given the firing sequence.
    I upgraded my wheels and tyres to CSAs and Coopers 270/70/17 (down from 18s) which places the speedo at +/- 1Km/h at all speeds to 140Km/h. Good for 1420Kg on all four corners.
    The new twin scroll turbo, 10 speed Ranger will hunt gears - you just can't feel it; and will wear out the transmission and the oil feed to the turbo before you know it when overlanding.
    The BT50 and the Ranger are the same vehicle except that the Ranger has a larger roof height and a stronger chassis. I fitted a Utemaster canopy and cantilever rack, good for 270Kg - though, who wants that weight on their roof? It's better that 75-100Kg from other good brands.
    Most Toyotas are farm trucks and need to be built up to be an overlanding vehicle - I include the Hilux here. The Prado is also in need of an improvement build as it is a black top vehicle out of the box, like the Ranger.
    The Ranger needs about $15K to be an overlander and then more to be bullet-proof. A 600Kg GVM upgrade provides a 924Kg payload and should include greasable upper control arms. A rear leaf sprung vehicle needs to be constantly loaded - it's an uncomfortable ride to Woollies when unladen. ~$6K for a secondary build, pre-rego.
    The engine requires upgrades to the transmission cooling and intercooler; as well as the Transmission Thermostat Bypass. It also requires a removal of the valve body and installation of a full flow thermostat control valve. Add to that, a removal of the bypass factory heat exchanger.
    Then a dyno by a master tuner - 25% increase in power and 30% increase in torque without stress. All up about $11K.
    A Hayman Reece rear Xbar, spotties, winch, Jungle bull bar and side rails, and so on.
    Hope that helps.

We are so happy with them all that we have just ordered a Next-Gen Wildtrak. If you ask around, you will find people who've had bad experiences with just about anything, doesn't mean they are all bad.

    The 6R80 auto is very indecisive in stock form empty or loaded. We do quite a few ECM / TCM tunes along with the external trans cooler kit + the problematic trans thermostat bypass. Makes any PX series 3.2 auto or BT50 so much better for towing. More power, cooler trans temps and better economy and best of all is improved reliability.

    • @rossawood5075
      @rossawood5075 ปีที่แล้ว

      As MJHmech states, No doubt the 6R80 can improved, starting with a decent front mounted trans cooler to replace the underwhelming Ford unit attached to the passenger side of trans, replace thermostatically controlled valve with bypass valve, upgrade the throttle body for firmer shifts, and definitely replace the early PX1 series torque converter known for weak welds around flex plate mounting bolts.
      The 6R80 Is quite a robust trans if it is kept cool and can be locked up, especially for heavy towing.

    Interesting stuff for the two of us as owners of an over speced (after market) 2016 Mazda BT 50 manual twin cab just like your Ranger test vehicle. We purchased it second hand and weighed it down with winch, new bull bar, bash plates, extra rear leaves & front coils, rear step bumper bar, internal drawers & roof racks & 140 litre fuel tank. We tow an off road camper trailer with 1200 kg axle weight. We haven't done the calculations but must be close to the limit. The gear box is clunky in low gears but overall the rig has worked fine for us for 50,000 km's on and off road in four years. I am interested how different Ranger and Ford are given their joint manufacturing relationship.

    Hey legends . Drove the new gen wildtrak . V6 3.0 l turbo diesel 10 speed auto . Gotta say after being a Toyota person forever very impressed . The new motor of 184kw and 600nm is beautiful and the soundless cab when windows up is amazing for a diesel . The grunt or pickup is sweet too . The 10” screen and 180 degree cameras is awesome as r the electric seats for both passenger and driver now and the telescopic steering wheel both up down and fwd rocks . So many amazing other features but cause we have to upgrade atm for a van from our hilux we r impressed . Still got the 6400 gcm to work with but now on board pree Rego with every accessory avail Inc in the 5 yr warranty with ARB it’s pree awesome too . Due to hilux not having the stats on power yet or Apple car play and just the new wider longer build of 50ml all round makes it feel beefy and look good with a great set of wheels and flares etc . Definitely worth a look but not the models below the wildtrak for me as not enough Lux . lol 😂

    Biggest issue I've found as a boat builder is we build a boat and customer buys a normal stock standard trailer for it and the trailer is always more than what it is stamped at.
    I've seen tandem trailers stamped at 350kg that fit a 6-7m boat.
    We weigh them to make sure and they have been nearly 600kg empty.
    There would be heaps of people out there towing boats that are anywhere from 300-600kgs heavier than what's stamped.

    I totally agree with you on everything you said Keelan. Great advice mate. Are you guys going a dual cab or wagon for your new vehicle?
    If I was to buy a brand new car today for touring it would probably be the new Ford ranger with the V6 diesel as it has the GCM of 6400kg that extra 400kg is a huge difference.

    Hi. I'm new to your channel :-) I like your "down-to-earth" way of explaining things.
    My wife and I drive a 2020 Ford Ranger dual cab with a NorthStar pop-up camper on it. (Weighs in at 3200 kg fully loaded)
    We tow a trailer with our Jeep on it (2700 kg). It's only the 2,0 bi-turbo diesel and of cause it lacks power in the hills, but actually I'm impressed by how well it does. I would have thought it to do much worse. And we avg the same fuel economy as you speak of - around 15 l/100.
    The issue with the uncomfortable suspension when towing (or fully loaded for that matter) we experienced too. But that's easily fixed by adding a set of airbags to help the leaf springs maintain their optimal angle. fully loaded and towing we add apx. 15 psi in the airbags to get it up to normal ride height, and that practically eliminated that issue.
    All-in-all I think it's a fairly capable vehicle, with skid plates and rear e-locker straight out of the box.
    As for reliability, the only problem we've had is a crank position sensor failing after 5000 km, but that went on the warranty.
    (Only thing about that is, that Ford here in Sweden has, to say it least, a very poor customer service. I hope for you guys that it's way better in Australia) We've been driving it for 2 years and 25000 km now ...
    We came from a 2010 Ford Ranger super cab, and this new model is, in our opinion an upgrade to a whole other level. Only thing we are not really fans of is all (unnecessary) warning sound and beeping, "driving assists" and that whole part. It's just too much, and, in our opinion, more irritating than helpful.

    Hello Keelan, we have been watching your channel for some time now and really appreciate the places you have been and your adventures. Whilst I agree with your comment regarding the GCM of the older Ford Ranger you drove, it is possible to tow a 21ft 6" caravan loaded and stay within the GCM limits. We have done so for the past 2 years and have regularly checked our weights especially when travelling in Queensland.
    For a young man you have certainly done some travelling and towing, but as you admitted yourself you have only ever driven Toyota vehicles until the trip to NZ. You are entitled to your opinion on what you think about the Ford Ranger, but having driven various makes and models of cars, trucks etc. (including Toyota and Ford) for the last 50 years, I do not believe you gave an totally unbias opinion of the Ford Ranger based on your trip in NZ. You are too bias toward Toyota and need to get out into the big wide world and drive lots of other vehicles, then you can make some comments.
    As for the bumpy ride when towing the caravan, that does not make sense, especially basing it on the leaf vs coil spring suspension. There must have been some issue (i.e. Shock absorber) with the vehicle you drove to cause that problem. We have not found this to be the case with our or other peoples Rangers we have travelled in whilst towing a van or other heavy loaded trailer.
    As mentioned by yourself and other comments below the value for money of the Ford Ranger compared with Toyota Prado or Landcruiser in Excellent. If fact it is only recently that Toyota started fitting Sat Nav, Android/Apple car play and reversing cameras to the Prado or Landcruiser vehicles.
    Also for your information the "Ford has confirmed the new Ranger and Everest have a maximum braked towing capacity of 3500kg across the entire range. Payload is up to 741kg, gross vehicle mass (GVM) is up to 3150kg, and gross combination mass (GCM) is 6250kg across the entire range."
    Keep up the great work and videos and safe travels.

    • @smil1264
      @smil1264 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At about 11 mins into the video you see a side view. The tow ball on the Ranger looks too low so the van is leaning onto its front axle etc. Needs a different shank/adaptor. We only tow about 2.8 ton van behind our Ranger. Haven't had a proper long trip yet. Only about 800km. I remember thinking it towed really sweetly, don't remember poor ride at all.
      I reckon set the rig up properly and it will tow very comfortably, perhaps better than when not towing.

  •  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Going down hills with a diesel it's better to use Ur engine to slow down the vehicle or maintain speed it helps with brake temps and stops brake fade. Also while decelerating even if the rpm is reading 3500rpm there isn't actually fuel going into cylinders like there is with 3500rpm accelerating under load. Just FYI.

    Never been a Ford fan, purchased a Ranger Wildtrak PX2 in 2017 and a van. Was very aware of the weight conundrums that face all brands when you nut it out. I am one that tows pretty much stock standard, except for one thing, I had the PX2 tuned to some 600nm and 200kw, turned out to be a great decision, would have to dig up my spreadsheets on various trips but I remember the best and worst, best was 13 per 100 between Barcaldine and Winton, worst was 19.8 between Narrabri and Coonabarabran into a massive headwind, I was getting 7's not towing on the highway and 9's around town. Average towing I am guessing would have been in the high 15's to low 16's. Would be towing 3 tonnes or a bit better, our leaving home GCM in 2019 on the way to Tasmania was 5.980 tonnes, full of fuel and water. Have had the new V6 Wildtrak now for nearly 2 months, been on a fuel discovery trip, it is OK, waiting to see when a tune gets written for it and will see how much extra that gives. Average fuel on that 1200kms was 16.3. GCM of course now 6400 but the interesting bit was front axle loading, too much to go into here. Jury still out on this next gen ranger, will see how it is travelling when I have 40 or 50 thousand on the clock. I had done 120000 kms in the PX2, paid 65K for it and sold it for 52K so a good return there. Think I will do some significant cash on this one though just because of the way the world is changing. Not sure I have become a Ford fan yet, but was happy with the PX2 Wildtrak and will see how this one goes. It is certainly heavier on juice around town, but heavier car and as yet not tuned.

    Excellent review of the Ford ranger guys, I think you hit most of the really good & bad points fairly.. I agree with all the points you made here Keelan, and my wife said she would not have married me if I had a Ford, or is it, she would divorce me if I got one? I think both were mentioned. So getting & keeping my attention to watch ur review is a big plus for Ford from this sector, you had me thinking about it for awhile there, but I love my wife, & Toyota’s too of course. As you said reliability is very important, I recently asked a friend why he keeps getting Landrovers that he is always working on and he said, “because they are cheap”, so I said, “are they”, Ive been driving Toyotas for the last 35 years and have hardly ever worked on any of them, I drive them, service them, and get most of my money back when I sell or trade them, latest 2 are worth more than paid for years ago, so for me, yeah, Toyota’s are actually cheapish in that respect and they always get me home. Cheers

    Hi Keelan. Good work on the review mate. Just one thing about the comfort side of your review. I noticed when watching your NZ vlog that the front of the van and the rear of the car were very low. With the unlevel towing set-up I think this may have contributed to a rougher ride at the rear of the ute. I know you had no control over setting it up, but I think it would have towed much better level. I'm surprised it didn't adversely affect the handling. I agree on the towing weight. I don't think you should tow anything too much heavy than your car, to avoid the old dog wagging the tail syndrome, regardless of what the GCM is.
    Cheers

      Just heard some stuff plus that funny GCM and I think not atleast touring with a bullbar and a bit of backup water is crazy which you’ll be over weight! I hope ranger owners don’t get upset!
      A lot of people tend to get upset when I talk about the steed!
      Hahah spewing mate! Thanks for your winge I enjoyed it haha 😂 🤙🏽😂
      Cheers Andy!!

    Hey Keelan, great review, but it is the old model. I understand the new Ranger has a bigger motor available and higher GCM but all utes in this category have the same problem. Are you considering the new Everest, I have the current 2Litre Biturbo and pull a 19 1/2-foot full sized caravan. I have no mods and have travelled over 30,000km with the van and have had no problems so far, the Everest has travelled 85,000km. Anyway, I enjoy your videos and may see you on the road sometime. Cheers

      If you wanna set it up for touring (bar, canopy. Ect..) no it’s not. 10% ball weight on a 3.5t van is 350kg alone haha I don’t think it is! That’s why the illusive GCM rating that Adds up too Max GVM + tow rating = is soo awesome!!

    • @Greg-jn8cc
      @Greg-jn8cc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I don't think so.
      The new car is about 100kgs heavier in kerb weight, so you don't gain the full 400kgs to start.
      You will certainly get closer to the mark but personally I wouldn't be loading up any vehicle to it's full rated capacity and be towing around the continent.
      You would be surprised how close you come with a couple of accessories on the car and then a van on the back.
      Last trip I had the rig weighed fully laden. I have a canopy and bullbar on the car but don't carry a huge amount in the vehicle. My van is rated at 2980kgs ATM. On weighing it all I was 70kgs under with the car and 140kgs under with the van and we travel pretty light.
      I certainly wouldn't be attempting to put a 3500kg van on the back of a Ranger even the new model. I believe that you will not be legal if you do.

    Hi Keelan, I only discovered you today. About to take off on a 4500 km towing (plus side trips) ramble in NW NSW, SA and Vic with our Biturbo ranger and 2.8ton (loaded) van. Legal I think.
    At about 11 mins into your review you show a side view of your rig. The van slopes down towards the tow hitch. To me it looks like you need a taller shank/hitch adaptor for this rig. My rig is single axle and I still try to ensure I get this right. I reckon with a tandem axle unit, it might matter more. Could it contribute to the uncomfortable ride? We've only towed for about 800km so far, and I don't recall it being uncomfortable at all. The opposite. I'll really pay attention this trip though! (Also just fitted an Andersen WD hitch. Keen to see how that goes. It's much lighter than what we had. Downside of our rig is lots of load on towball... About 320kg as axle is towards the rear of van. The Andersen weight dist hitch is 15 to 20kg lighter all up than our old one, therefore, less towball weight. I will watch more of your vids. Thanks

      Good pick up! For sure wouldn’t help! It was a hire car and we didn’t wanna fork out for a hitch. I still think it’s pretty ridged with 300kg ball weight! Thanks mate cheers for the info!! All in all we loved the car! Didn’t let us down in spots others might of so all in all was good! A lot of positives about them! Every car has there issues! Cheers mate

    Bit late to the party, but better late than never. So Kerb weight is vehicle weight from manufacturer + full fuel, no passengers, no options (eg. if a towbar is not standard fit then its an option) any options added is then taken off the payload. Standard Passenger Adult weight as per Australian regs is 68kg. Regardless of brand of vehicle, if they say it can tow X Kg then they legally can, as that would be legally misleading to do so in Australia and vehicle manufactures spend a lot of time and money on these sorts of things. In most cases the issue is the person sitting in the drivers seat not understanding their vehicles limits or their setup limits. If you don't understand GVM, GCM, FGAWR, RGAWR,TBW,ATM & GTM and have a detailed spreadsheet of everything in your setup weight wise, then should you really be towing 3500kg......? Don't assume that your TBW is 10% of ATM as there is a good chance it's more. Best advice I can give is get your vehicle weighed to understand Kerb weight by a professional weight person, when you first get it and then also weigh you full setup to understand the above mentioned weight requirements. Just had my NEXT GEN Ranger Wildtrak weighed and the Kerb weight is 60kg under stated figure, it could of been the other way. Good luck with your new setup what ever it is.

    good information on towing weights. Anyone looking to get better knowledge in this area should check out some of John Cadogan's videos, he does the math & makes it easy to understand,
    When I was looking recently for a new tow/touring vehicle I studied many of the options and chose a new Prado mainly on GVM numbers. All of these new cars coming out with 3.5t towing is a joke and just shows the car makers will do or say anything to make their vehicles look better. My current 13yo Triton actually has better GVM capacity than the Prado by about 150kg & it has a 2.1t tow rating. Never go by the tow rate as the GVM/GCM is much more important. The other very important thing that many people overlook is the golden rule 'Never tow anything heavier than the weight of the tow vehicle' (Except trucks that are designed to do it).
    Keep up the great content Keelan & Sarah, enjoying watching your adventures.
    P.S. with your new vehicle remember that it is really hard to seal the dust out of a ute tray if you go that way. That's one of my reasons for changing from the Triton to a Prado.

    Leaf springs may be less comfortable , however they offer much better stability for towing. It's just a fact. I guess it comes down to comfort or safety.

    • @SarahandKeelanTravels
      @SarahandKeelanTravels  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha coils are very very safe mate, they won’t be on the road if they are inferior, it’s your opinion that’s fine however it isn’t a fact..

    • @mit1346
      @mit1346 ปีที่แล้ว

      My apologies, my comment was not clear or written well. Lets try again.
      'Safety' was the wrong word. And yes your are correct Coils are neither inferior or unsafe. Coil springs can extend and compress within a far greater range of movement than leaf springs. This makes them ideal for off-roading. I have a 4x4 with coils. They work perfect for what I'm doing. And, like you, provide the comfort and flexibility for long distance travel and off road capabilities.
      Leaving my humble opinion out of the equation, it remains that Leaf springs are more *stable* when carrying heavy loads. Coils are not generally favored for heavy load carrying, as the coil on axle setup isn't nearly as stable or strong as a leaf spring. Fact, Coil springs allow considerably more movement in the suspension system than leaf springs. Coils are not generally favored for heavy load carrying, as the coil on axle setup isn't nearly as stable or strong as a leaf spring. leaves serve to keep the rear axle in place so the need for complex suspension linkages are eliminated.
      When a lot of weight is being carried, leaf springs spread the load out more evenly across the vehicle's chassis than coil springs or torsion bars.
      Additionally, the friction produced between multiple leaves as they slide helps damp the natural up-down rebounding effect of springs - making the ride steadier and reducing the work that shock absorbers must do.
      Coil spring suspensions are a viable option for most loads hauled by today's motorists, but leaf springs are still the better option for heavy-duty applications. This is why you'll still find them under passenger trucks, vans, and many commercial vehicles. In heavy-duty applications, they simply aren't as stable for load carrying tasks as leaf springs. And that my friends is based on evidence, not opinion.

    Just watched your review on the Ford Ranger, I agree with you on the towing capacity of modern utes as they are very misleading. I'm not sure if you can compare your Prado to the Ranger as I believe your Prado has been set up to tow and travel, where the Ranger is a stock vehicle as far as I can see in the video. Just to let you know I'm not a Ford Ranger owner so no bias here. Also, I wonder if the transmission not changing up on a down hill run is to assist in controlling the speed of the vehicle so you don't have to ride the brakes, as other vehicles in this segment do. Anyway, just my point of view, great show, keep up the great work.

    No car should tow the maximum capacity realistically, that’s just the amount the powertrain can pull. There are a number of other factors to consider, for example, the new Everest also says 3500kg but due to payload and rear axle capacity, realistically 2.8-2.9 tonne is really pushing it depending on cargo and occupants. Just need to research all the facts on weights and limits first.

    This is the issue with any vehicle. Toyota Landcruiser has the same issue. Without a GVM upgrade straight out the box you can’t tow 3500kg.

    • @SarahandKeelanTravels
      @SarahandKeelanTravels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can, totally different. the GVM Dosnt eat into the GCM. The towing capacity + the Max GVM = GCM so pretty much you can buy a land cruiser put as much weight in it you can aslong as your under GVM and hook your van up and tow it away. Admittedly the payload isn’t very good. But it is possible and legal to tow 3500kg out of the box.

More expensive in fuel but nissan seem to have a very reliable package with that 5.6 litre v8. Towing is a breeze & compared to a Landcrusier your probley be looking at a 30k saving as well, not to mention also how awesome that v8 sounds lol . If you drove the 3.2 in manual as you should when towing youd have better fuel economy and pulls caravan a lot easier, ive had jayco silverlines and ford rangers for years towing around NZ south island , and always up to max GCM never had an issue, i have heard many using toyotas having many issues especially some of the older Hilux's , Prados landcruisers with there various Engine, clutch issues over many years, id rate the Ranger V Toyotas equal plus the fact that a Prado or landcruiser cant tow the same capacity anyway up until latest models, just thought id add a comment from someone who has towed around the south island in the combo you are reviewing for years without any issues

    Good Vid mate, though a bit hard on the ole ford as you aren’t comparing it to any other Dual Cab, just Percy. Have you actually ever Towed 3.2 ton Van through the mountains in any other Dual Cab. Yes Yes and Yes, I drive a Ranger, and I tow a 2.4ton Hybrid Van with it, always in Sports Mode ( sometimes in manual) she’s got 140 thou on the clock now, and it’s lived out bush in the goldfields towing the van with ease, and I often head down to Perth without the Van and I don’t spare the horses.
