Jimmy Carter was a rare example of kindness and moral compassion in politics. His dedication to helping others, both during and after his presidency, set him apart as a leader who truly cared about people. From his work with Habitat for Humanity to his unwavering commitment to human rights, he showed the world what it means to lead with heart. Rest in peace, President Carter."
Such a lovely man. He really got LIFE right. There’s a great article about his relationship with Rosalyn. His mother was a midwife who helped the neighbor deliver her. 3-yr-old Jimmy went along the next day and saw his future wife for the first time. So they grew up neighbors and Rosalyn admits she was friends with Jimmy’s sister in part bc she had a crush on him. He didn’t pay her any attention until he was home on school break from Annapolis, when she was 17. After a chat at the gas station, he asked her out and came home to tell his mother he was going to marry Rosalyn one day. He was friends with everyone regardless of race (unusual back then in the south). Smart, kind, and caring.
I regard former President Jimmy Carter as the greatest president of my lifetime. His leadership was characterized by an unwavering commitment to peace, human rights, and integrity, even in the face of political challenges. President Carter's efforts to broker the Camp David Accords demonstrated his dedication to diplomacy and conflict resolution on a global scale. Domestically, his emphasis on energy independence and environmental stewardship was visionary, addressing challenges that remain critical to this day. What truly sets President Carter apart, however, is the life he led beyond his presidency. He exemplified humility and service, devoting himself to humanitarian work through the Carter Center, eradicating diseases, monitoring elections, and building homes for those in need. His moral compass and deep compassion for humanity serve as a timeless example of what leadership can achieve when rooted in principle. I often reflect on what the world might have become had his visionary ideas and exceptional leadership been fully realized. Rest in peace, President Carter, and thank you for a life devoted to making this world a better place for all.
Much respect for one of the few leaders who spoke up for Palestinian people. Thank you President Carter for your courage, openness and humanity.❤✌🏻RIP.
What a gift this man has been to us. We are verging on a crazy upside down time in our Democracy..January 2025. And here are memories of a genuine leader to inspire us. 🪴🌟❤️💙🦋✅
Most underrated president of our generation. His presidency always gets a lot of hate but the man was probably one of the most honorable men who have ever served. I've read all his books. My condolences to his friends and family. Now he is with his beloved Rosylin 💔
2:50 interesting that Grandma Moses was mentioned because both she and Carter lived to be centenarians I am 39 and this man had a longer post-presidency than my entire lifetime so far!
When my dad died on Nov 8 , 1996 and laid to rest on Nov 11th , you never get over the loss . Back in 1976 when cousin Jimmy was running for the office of President , my dad told me cousin Jimmy was related to us . I said Jimmy who ? and pf course from when he ran to when he won and took office . I , like my dad would collect , anything on him. Of course 1st and foremost was the family tree. My dad's mom was Bobbie Joe Carter born in Richland Ga, like Lillian Carter was and all of my dad's mom's side . May 1998 was at the Carter family reunion for 3 days . Meeting him and Rosalynn , exchanging letters, Him signing the letter cousin . Dad was born Oct 23rd , cousin Jimmy Oct 1, both 1924. Both Navy , soft spoken .And I'm up early 5am writing this . On day 3 of the reunion he challenged all of us while speaking in his church to live a life than is transcendent " beyond yourself " I have finished 9 Ironman Triathlons and as a bike racer on Zwift ranked in the top 150 in the United States in the 60+ . Read and study American and Presidential history since 1976 . Yes inspired by my hero's my dad and cousin .

Of course that is a shameful lie. There are many articles quoting President Carter about how proud he was to vote for KAMALA. We shouldn't expect anything more than cheap lies from a trump fan.
@mygirldarby that is very ignorant and a big assumption, in which you're wrong. I am a Democrat. It's 100% true be voted for Trump. He couldn't vote for Harris he said. He kept it quiet as you would expect but a close friend exposed it. 100% true.

You must not have lived through the four years of his presidency or you were on some serious drugs.
@@georgelevin6134his four years were.
“Yes, everything is falling apart. No, we can’t fix it. Please give us another four years then maybe we can”
You don’t remember the gas crisis, hours on line for the gas! Terrible time, nice man

He is so talented!!

Overachiever is an understatement for President Carter. Gosh, what a productive man he was.
He paints, he crafts tables, he brokers peace in the Middle East and saves thousands of lives in Africa through disease prevention. What a man!
What a lovely man he was ❤
What testament of a beautiful human being. job well done Sir RlP 🎉
A good man may he rest in peace.
Primitive Jimmy Carter. Godspeed, kind sir. Thank you deeply for your service.
just learned the word "assiduously" from Carter
Ronald Reagan: Deficits Don’t Matter.

James Earl Carter was too honest and decent a human being to be a good American politician
President, peace activist, author, painter, carpenter, ... is there anything he did not do?
DeWalt man, interesting. Fare-thee-well in the great beyond good man.
💙 ☮️ 🕯️
I absolutely disagree with his politics, but I definitely honor most of his good works outside of politics.
Jimmy Carter grande presidente
❤😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
When she asked what style was the painting i said presidental.
Nice
So much different than the blubber mouth we have now.
Chestnut Table.
I'm sure this will be a mature FACTUAL discussion with out saying he didn't go as the worst in history etc....
Served like he voted 2024.
Jimmy Carter died in peace, knowing that he was not the worst president in US history since 2016
That's a ridiculous back handed compliment. You are a shame.
President Carter died in peace after a life well-lived in service to humanity.
Biden and Obama probably will be worse than Carter. Most people are too young to remember Carter. He was a pathetic man
Wow Leslie sure has a different continence interviewing a leftist president than when she interviews Trump
I think because Carter is a wonderful human and Trump is a bitter, greedy man.
Good man. Unfortunately not a good president.
