I'm on the road and I've been trying the whole day to upload this video! 😂😂 Finally! I'm now working on the subtitles and translations. Everything will be live in a few hours, hopefully🙏! Thank you so much for visiting my channel 😍😍😍
Glad you managed to ride one of 'HST' trains from Nottingham. They are a British railway icon and now over 40 years old but still one of the best. It actually set the world record for the fastest passenger diesel train @ 143 mph in 1973 although they only use 125 mph in service. You will find people in the UK will never stop criticising our trains - its almost a national sport but we do OK as you have found out and you just took pot luck as you went round. And it is the safest rail system in Europe I hope the UK left a good impression and you will come back again soon. Happy Xmas and all the best for 2019. Of should I say 'Happy Holidays'?
Love watching these, Renata does a brilliant job of explaining everything about the trip from rail tickets right down to the history of the places where they are going, along with a beautiful face and such a bubbly personality. I hope they visit some more places in England. Great job.
I've just discovered this channel - nice footage and so entertaining and informative! Your positive attitude towards British rail travel is really refreshing - I live in the UK and everyone here moans about the trains! Really loving the London videos - I travel there for work regularly and sometimes it's easy to forget the great qualities of cities we are too familiar with. Great to see the city through the eyes of someone from outside the UK. I'm looking forward to watching your other travels from around the world...keep up the great work :)
Great video! Glad you managed to travel on the Intercity 125 or HST (High Speed Train), a very famous train here in the UK and soon to be replaced after being in service on the railways since the 1970s. Looking forward to more train journeys! May I suggest the Settle to Carlisle line? It is considered England's most scenic rail journey and is in the very north west of England and it runs from the city of Leeds to Carlisle. Scotland Is also fantastic. If you get a chance to travel by train to and around Scotland, do not miss it!
5:23 that is related to they type of service, East Midlands offers three types of service: Regional - eg Manchester to Nottingham Connect - I believe Kettering to London is the only route? Intercity - eg Nottingham to London Intercity is their highest level of service, connect is second and regional are shorter distance so they are the lowest.
you're a natural at this "lark" renata. i've lived on this little box of tricks (britain) for 63 years and can tell ya, you know more about the trains than i do.( since they privatised them) all the best, luv.
Thanks so much for a job well done . Appreciate your efforts and hard work showing all great videos . I really enjoy watching your videos. Wishing you all the best of success .Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays . Many warm regards . Cheers . HISHAM ELFIKI
I helped restored the building across from Nottingham Train station. Led the IT team for Capital One, have a piece of one the original oak planks from the building floors on my bookshelf. From this video not much seems to have change in 20 years since '98 when I lived there. Lived in the flats just behind the Nottingham Holiday inn. Most days I walked the 1 mile or so to work following the canal to Carrington street then on to Station street. The way back often had a layover at Via Fossa for some pints. It is cool Nottingham hasn't changed that much to much change can ruin a place with so much character.
If you are going to take a lot of train travel over a period, overseas visitors can buy a rail pass allowing unlimited train rides . I have twice bought the 25day (i think) standard pass for about 350pounds, that is about 14 or 15 pounds a day, and at any time too!! Well worth it.
Had to watch this one several times. This is definitely NOT the London my wife remembers. We must hit you up before making our trip there. And that AppleCard concept? Incredible ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Love your videos as i lovel travel and its great you have visited my home country. I hope you enjoyed it. I live in a small medieval town with a castle and is a huge tourist hotspot. Would love to show you my town.
Olá Renata!! Always great information specially if someone is traveling to Europe. Are you going back to Rio? I also wanted to say Feliz Natal 🎄 Best wishes to y’all. Um abraço e um beijos para vocês 🤗🎄🎄🎄🎄
Good train ride and nice comments, but I'm confused about the hotel, the only Renaissance hotel I know of is the restored Victorian one attached to St Pancras, but the video showed you alighting the Underground at Paddington, then checking in to a hotel you marked as Renaissance?
Hi John! Good call! That’s the Renaissance by Heathrow. I had meetings near Paddington and then at the Renaissance, so ended up staying there in the beginning
Greetings from just 3 stops away in Long Eaton (Close to East Midlands Airport). I'm sad to report, that like other UK operators whom still have them, that train you are on known as a class 43 HST, are being retired, and I certainly know EMR (Company that replaced East Midlands Trains), plans to retire theirs all within the next 2 / 3 years, with something similar as you will find on the HS1 route operated by South Eastern Trains out of St Pancras, which is a real shame.
If you buy your train tickets from a website called split ticketing you can save further money on train tickets. I save an extra £8 per train journey from oxford to nottingham.
Renata, as always a wonderful and very interesting video! :))) thank you a lot! and how do you think could you make a trip from Moscow to Vladivostok by train???? :)))) it will be - 9300 kilometers and 6 days and 22 hours. it will not be an easy journey. :))
Not to sound rude, but you're always going to get a much better impression because you're travelling to and from some of the largest cities in the UK and the stations are generally well situated and central and you can afford taxis etc. Try going elsewhere in the UK, generally to smaller and more isolated places and you'll find you don't get any choice for your journey - you just have to go for the only services you can get to the place you're travelling to/from and pay whatever the fare is (advance tickets are only available with some operators on some routes).
Mohammed Azizur Rahman Thanks Mohammed! I ended up not having time, but I visited the Harry Potter world at Universal Studios in Florida not long ago. If you’d like to see it, it’s here: th-cam.com/video/9WA9GGpqxQY/w-d-xo.html. Cheers!
Warner Bros studios, near Watford Junction is a proper behind the scenes visit of HP, completely different to the one in Florida which is a theme park attraction.
Glad you thought the UK Rail network was good. It's such a shame that next to no one in the UK (apart from me) would agree. It's as British as talking about the weather to moan about the railways. So embarrassing. Nice channel BTW.
Hi Mark! Thanks! I guess I liked it because when you compare it with what other countries have, you guys have a huge advantage. I’m from Brazil and live in the USA, two gigantic countries with embarrassing train services (although a little better in the USA). We have a lot to learn ✌️
Good morning Renata Periera Ma'am 👸🎅🎁🎂💋,Hola what's new? Merry Christmas 🎄 to you may God give you happiness, love, 💰,respect name fame everything in this beautiful day Jesus is with you bye.

This is where you get to see the Eurostar trains on the other platforms like the class 373s and the new Eurostar train of the class 374s
I heard great things about Eurostar, would love to try it next time 😊😊
Renata Pereira yeah lovey
Eurostar normally started from either kings cross on the east coast mainline or at the former terminus of Waterloo until 2007

Wow, that had not even crossed my mind... thanks for the idea!

best rail system in the world until the dr beeching cuts of 1965
