- My imperfect but still fast pole lap from silvi. the big moment on the exit of the new pits section was a genuine "oh fuck". Apex speed was 15kph quicker than previously, hence the big moments.

Never really understood why you're penalized for INCREASING the distance you travel by going out of bounds. Penalizing cutting makes all the sense in the world.
Penalizing for traveling farther distance than everyone else does not. Unless, of course, that increase also brings an increase of speed out of a corner.
But if it's just a simple mistake of going too wide, and you end up losing some time on the lap, that alone should be penalty enough.
0:08 Whenever I did that on Assetto Corsa Competizione I always heard a "Cut detected".
Sometimes is a "Lap invalidated".
Yea the Blancpain is forgiving in turn 1 and turn 7 at Silverstone
As a new sim racer i'm doing a 2:00,057 with the Audi Evo on the 2019 track in ACC. I cant seem to break the 2 min mark for now. The first corner is where i lose most of my time i think. 1 lap i ran just i tiny bit wide there and the invalid lap was 1:59,560. I see the aliens doing 1:57xxx so i'm still to far off lol. It doesnt realy compare to IRL it seems.

Basically the same lines i used for my 90 minutes ACC race on ps4 yesterday. Same gear selections as well but i used Lexus. The only error i made was not remembering to readjust my brake bias after pit stop to compensate for the cold sketchy reactions of the tires. This is something I've never seen before on PC streams with guys immediately back up to speed. Weird. Console wins the simulation. I wasn't the only one who felt the difference as i found out in discord.

With optimal grip, hotlap mode and none on truck and 15000 times that you can restart de lap 🤣 there is a bit différence between a simulator hotlap and lapping on a real circuit with traffic, dirty track, G forces, and why not Balls to takes the turns like in simulator 🤣
