Odens Eye should have done the jewelry as a free gift with purchase, and like you said. Diversified the palettes. I didn't purchase a box, but don't think I will in the future either.
Hi Jem, we were box twins! Your initial short is the first video I watched while waiting for mine! I initially did feel disappointed when I saw some getting more palettes, but then when I added up the value, it made sense to me. I am obviously here for the makeup, but was relieved when I saw that the jewelry pieces were better quality than I imagined. My thought process was to do a little research and only purchase every other year so that my chances for dupes are minimized.
Thanks for watching and commenting! I think value wise, the box is definitely worth it and if I liked the jewellery items, I would be very happy. I agree about researching beforehand to help limit potential disappointment. I'm not permanently put off of buying in the future, I'll just make sure that the contents of the box is made up of things I'm likely to be happy with.
I regretted mine I had a horrible box this just reaffirmed my idea to never buy mystery boxes a waste of money and from what I see everyone got cheap jewelry
I agree, was disappointed with mine, what shouldn 't have been in the mystery boxes was items that were just sold at christmas, that snow palette you got etc. The jewelery argh its horrible, not my style someone else will like it, but i'm about the makeup.
I'm not even mad about the Christmas palettes being included because I know people were still wanting Christmas Eve and Merry Christmas. It's the terrible jewellery and lack of consistency in the contents of the boxes. Do you think you will buy one next year or has the experience this year put you off?
@@just_jem1 This is the first ever mystery box i've ever bought, i'm new into makeup, only just getting into it, and not everyone ships to my country, the bottom of the world, so yeah, it puts me off mystery boxes in general :( I was interested in Unearthly's box, think it was them, but shipping to New Zealand, was cray cray, the ones from Beautylish, i think they called, at christmas just didn't ship here at all.. so i was really excited to get these, and the disappointment is real.. i been watching others open to see if they are as disappointed.
Im disappointed in my small box too. I got the planet spirit palette, humming bird palette, and a necklace. Those two palettes were not shown on their website of what can be in their mystery box so that was misleading. I bought my box on the first day. I think if i buy again, i would buy on the last day. Make sense if they are trying to get rid of their less popular items first.
Agree with you, jewelry shouldn’t be in mystery boxes or they could put it as an option boxe with makeup only and boxe with both and you purchase the one you want. I agree with you on the palettes too, it’s very unfair to put 3 Angelica palettes in some box or 3 top tiers palettes in some and in other boxes only 2 palettes or 3 palettes with 2 smaller… I am very desapointed with my box, it was my first order with the brand and I don’t know if I will purchase again as I feel I get screwed. They should do « similar « boxes with same amount of palettes. Also they are advertising Angie collab everywhere .. I don’t get why they didn’t put at least 1 palettes per box instead of putting 3 in some boxes and none in other. It seem they didn’t put any thought in the making of those boxes. I m sure many people are like me and get a very bad experience with this brand as a first experience. I don’t think I will purchase mystery box next year and I don’t think I will purchase again from that brand. There is soooo many good indie brand, they should care bit more about the customer experience if they want to keep their customers and get new onw
That might have been a good approach actually - 1 Angelica collab in each box seeing as she has 3 of them now. Sorry to hear that your experience has put you off buying anything else from the brand. I'm not put off fully but I will be cautious in future when it comes to the mystery boxes.

How much was the small mystery box? Was it $45? I would have been OK with getting the Hummingbird palette as I do really like that colour story.

Never tried the brand avoided it SOLELY due to getting the jewelry. That did not interest me at ALL!
