Houston is already a better deer hunter than I am 😂 I've been thoroughly enjoying watching you (a dad like me) taking your kids hunting and documenting the entire process.
Houston did such a great job! I totally understand his disappointment. You could see it on his face how much he wanted limpy gimpy. I also really appreciate how he knew if he didn't want to be on camera all he had to do was tell you. You guys have a great relationship and you respected his wish of not being filmed. That speaks volumes to me. I knew I could go to my dad with anything as well and that meant so much to me, and I know that it means a lot to him as well. There is nothing wrong with him being the more emotional one, he is Houston and he just needs to be himself.
The lessons that young man has learned are invaluable, and the discipline he has demonstrated is greater than any I have seen in a long, long time. Few adults have the discipline of that child. You are a blessed ma, Daniel Arms. You have taught your son well.
Yeah. However, Houston said "if limpy gimpy doesn't show up I'll shoot him." his dad said "I don't know about it. You're waiting on one buck you said." He did wait for an entire season. And when he didn't show up he should have let Houston shoot the other buck. Instead. He would have been proud of the fact he tried all the way up to the last half hour or so. And then harvested a great back to be proud of. As it stands now he is disappointed because he didn't get limpy gimpy.
Please allow me to wholeheartedly agree with your post. I admire Houston and feel he will make a super citizen as he matures. Thanks to the entire family, including all the pets.
Maybe Houston loves spending time with his Dad but doesn't really want to shoot these beautiful Bucks, just a thought. Maybe Houston would like to shoot with a camera like Deejay.
No offense to Mr arms I think he's a wonderful man. That being said I really think that Houston does not want to shoot limpy gimpy. That boy has a big heart and feels for the animals. This is my gut feeling but I don't think Houston really does not wants to shoot him.
I’m a 74 year old city gal that has never hunted and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this hunting season with you. Thank you. You have some fantastic children!!
Dad, Houston knew you saved LG for him, and then LG was in a spot that Houston didn't feel comfy with the shot. He was so afraid of letting you down. Sending Houston a big hug.
Houston has every right to be proud of himself! He was mature beyond his age by passing up the big buck the last day. God willing Limpy Gimpy is Houston’s deer to take next season. You and DeeJay are doing an amazing job raising your family. Thank you for sharing a small part of your lives. ❤️
I'm not a "trophy hunter." I'm about the meat. But for a young 10 year old to have the patience that he did, and to stick to his plan is beyond a great hunter. Houston has no reason to be disappointed or discouraged for this deer hunting season. Outstanding job, young man.
Houston is an amazing hunter! No matter his age. I don't know many people who would have passed up on that big buck because of his commitment to harvest a specific deer. He's a good boy! I'm so proud of him! Great video! Get Houston a crossbow. He deserves the chance to continue hunting limpy gimpy.
@@HunterAndrews84 They do hunt for meat! They just happen to have enough meat that they have the choice of what meat they choose. They don't waste the meat. A trophy hunter takes the antlers with no care for the meat. What the Arms family does is different. And Houston and EmmaLee both have taken bucks this year also.
@@carolwilliams8971 I didn’t think about the fact that they have a lot of meat from a lot of other deers lol cause I hunt in a area where you’d be lucky to see a small buck so to me the buck Houston passed up would be probably the second biggest buck I’ve ever shot if I saw that deer

Good job Houston 👏 my first big buck that I had my eye for before the season slipped me one season and was about to get him the next. But the lesson learned was worth it all. Showing that much maturity in such a young age is priceless.
You got great memories and great things to tell grandkids and father son time. It’s the most important. Great job Houston I sure am proud of u . I would have done the exact same thing hold out for what u want.

Thanks for sharing your journey with us and keep ya head up Houston Ol’ Limpy Gimpy has your name all over him💪
Great lesson for Houston and props to him for having the patience and will power to pass on that 8, I don't know very many grown men that would have passed on him, especially last day of rifle season. Good job Houston.
Couldnt be more proud of you Houston! 10 trophy bucks couldnt even touch the imence pride in holding out and staying true to yourself and waiting for the right shot! Amazing young man!
@Arms Family Homestead Daniel, Let me tell you sweetheart... my boys were 1 and 5 when their daddy passed away (he was only 32) and I would have given anything for them to be able to hunt, fish, watch football.. anything with their daddy growing up, so for you and Houston (and any of your children) to be able to be hang out with dad and create priceless memories is the biggest blessing in the world! You are a fantastic father!! And I was team, get Limpy Gimpy because I too felt bad for him with his bumb leg, so I figured he would be an easier target for anyone (if he would just show up! 🤣) but like you said, he's really smart! I enjoy all of your videos and just adore your family!! God bless you all 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I just want to say how proud I am of Houston and wanted to let you know Your doing a fine job of raising a respectful hunter, the amount of patience it takes to wait for that shot and wait on that deer you’ve put all that time and effort for, it takes a man to be that patient and also Houston remember hard work and dedication pays off and good things come to those who wait
Houston you are a awesome you man! You may not have gotten the buck you wanted, but YOU did get a buck that you and your family will be enjoying for a while. So be proud of what YOU have accommplished! ❤
Oh my goodness!!! That Houston has so much patience. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching his journey this season! Man, that one buck that he passed on was huge! How many kids could stick to their goal like that??? When that monster buck walked in his line of sight and he kept his eye on the prize!!!! Wow, Wow, Wow!!!!! Nice Job, Houston.
Y’all have raised one fine family And you are teaching Houston right! You don’t have to shoot everything that walks out. Set a goal and reach it. Little fella has done just that. Tell him it’s okay to wear his emotions on his shoulder because I’m a grown man, and when I mess up a Turkey/deer/duck/etc..... hunt, I’m like a 10 year that didn’t get a toy. It will make him a true man and a sportsman. Keep up the great work AFH.
I agree with you, Daniel. Houston showed great maturity in this hunt. He’s got nothing to be ashamed of. It’s awesome the way that you film & document y’all’s hunts! Great job! ❤
I'm proud of him for sticking to his word and only going for limpy gimpy. I love the hunting videos. Brings back great memories of hunting with my pawpaw when I was a kid. Good job dad recording everything they are going to cherish that one day. I have faith you will get him next year. #Houston
Congratulations, Daniel, you have raised a compassionate, committed conservationist outdoorsman! Houston is every bit the hunter as an Aldo Leopold, a Teddy Roosevelt, and a Steven Rinella. This is a young man you can be proud of. His sensitivity is what makes him a great hunter.
Houston showed so much restraint with that big buck! Your tenacity to seeing that Limpy Gimpy was taken for the fact that you didn't want him to suffer is great sign of maturity. I'm proud of you too Houston!! 🥰❤️😊

You must be very, very proud as a parent. You’re also doing an amazing job teaching Houston how to be a true hunter and not a killer. He will see how patience pays off. It took me a long time to shoot a nice buck. You manage your property very well and he will have an opportunity again soon. Good luck Houston! Rooting for you buddy!
Awesome job dad! Love the content bud
I Enjoyed the Season with you and the Kids!! I appreciated the interaction with Houston and Emily!! God Bless and have a Wonderful Weekend!! 😊❤🌹
Very few men and even fewer boys have that kind of determination. Houston is going to be a very good man
Good job Houston 👏 my first big buck that I had my eye for before the season slipped me one season and was about to get him the next. But the lesson learned was worth it all. Showing that much maturity in such a young age is priceless.
Always a good day when y’all post
You got great memories and great things to tell grandkids and father son time. It’s the most important. Great job Houston I sure am proud of u . I would have done the exact same thing hold out for what u want.
The steps of a man are established by the LORD, And He delights in his way.-Psalms 37:23

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you guys hunt! What a blessing to have 3 kids as good as yours. Of course you have to be good parents to have kids that good. Beautiful dear! Beautiful 8 point buck. Always next year! Way to hang in there Houston! Quality dad and son time though!! Memories made together! Can’t pass that up! When the time is right…… it will happen! Blessings from the OKC Grandmother.
It is so good to see a great dad like you !!! I lost my dad when i was 2 . It make it all heart warming to watch your videos .
Houston's an amazing kid he has a heart of gold and he knows what he wants and he goes after and he's very emotional but that's good to have any child you have great kids Daniel you should be very proud of yourself you raised them right🤗❤️🦌
Houston is a great kid! Emily is as well! They are well rounded solid citizens! Kudos to you folks! They are growing up making great memories with their caring Mom and Dad!
You Sir are a great Dad. Houston is an awesome hunter. Great job to all of you guys and gal.
Houston is a remarkable young man! I’m so impressed with his patience and determination! You & DeJay have done an amazing job with all of y’all’s kiddos! As I’ve said many times my absolute favorite family on TH-cam!!
Your son is a credit to you, as we can all attest you are and should be so proud of him, your also a credit to producing well rounded quality new generation. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Houston for the fun videos. So glad you got to spend this season with your Dad. Very proud of you, great attitude there young man.
So much respect for Houston and his drive and determination! That kid showed more grit and self control than most adults do. It’s families like yours that will keep hunting around for years to come.
I'm so proud of Houston. Thank you sir for raising your children right. The Armes kids gives me great hope for the future of this country
@Arms Family Homestead
Daniel, Let me tell you sweetheart... my boys were 1 and 5 when their daddy passed away (he was only 32) and I would have given anything for them to be able to hunt, fish, watch football.. anything with their daddy growing up, so for you and Houston (and any of your children) to be able to be hang out with dad and create priceless memories is the biggest blessing in the world! God bless you all 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Good job young man! That was a tough decision that I don't think I could've made. These are lifetime memories. Good job for raising your children to love and respect hunting and conservation. Please continue to post your awesome videos.
Houston....you are just like your daddy said....a warrior!! A warrior hunts with honor....and you definitely did that!! Be proud Houston! You are a warrior hunter!! From Montgomery al 🙏 ❤️
Kudos to Houston for doing the right thing. Excellent teachers! Keep up the good work to all of you. Keep doing what you're doing!
So proud of Houston. He knows what he wants and he's going to be patient until he gets it. Plus more bonding time with dad can never be wrong.
Great job! ❤
Really appreciate you sharing
stay warm stay safe🥰
I'm proud of him for sticking to his word and only going for limpy gimpy. I love the hunting videos. Brings back great memories of hunting with my pawpaw when I was a kid. Good job dad recording everything they are going to cherish that one day. I have faith you will get him next year. #Houston
You are such an amazing dad! I love watching all the adventures you do with your kids.
Awesome that your get your kids out in the woods, and knowing each one's personality is good!! Am 67 year old man& haven't taken a deer this year yet!!
Huston you are a wonderful young man learning some very hard life lessons hunting with dad. What a great time you are having with dad. Great job with being so patient and not shooting just to make a kill. Great job dad teaching your kids🇨🇦

☘️🏈🐕🇺🇸⚓️ I am so impressed with Houston. He has matured so much. You sharing your passions with your kids. Sharing your experiences with them
I am so proud of Houston! Sticking to one deer is so hard, especially this young. You definitely have raised him very well. Wasn't meant to be this time. Next time, Houston. Thanks for sharing.
Houston, you did an amazing job Hunting this year for Limpy Gimpy. You will get him or another big buck next year.
Never listen to the negative comments because they don’t mean anything in this world. People think their opinions are more important than others and are typically closed minded to anything outside of what they think.
You and your dad do an amazing job with your content, do what you love and love what you do with a passion. Don’t worry about what other people say because all that matters is your real life friends and family.
Keep your head up Houston you are doing things that the majority of the kids out there have never experienced.
Houston is amazingly patient and kind, she’s ambitious too. You had fun, you have another chance next year. ❤ be proud 🥰
Your best video with Houston. He is learning so much about game management. Congrats on a very successful season in more ways than just the harvest.

I feel for Houston. He has such a big heart. He has cried when the baby goats get tagged, when the big steer goes to be slaughtered, it makes me wonder did he really want to kill this deer. It’s so nice he has a big heart and I’m sure he always will. Good for you Houston ❤️
Houston is so patient! I am impressed by his determination. There is always next year kiddo!🥰
Be very proud of that young man! He is light years ahead of most ten year olds. All thanks to Mom and Dad.
