It was great that you filmed all of that whilst showcasing your bubba girl. At least now she will be ahead of the other kids, she will grow up with the same passion for aquaponics. Other kids will just have their pre-kindy graduation ceremonies or 2y.o ballet crap. Keep your girl grounded in the good life.
Being a mother of 5, may I suggest that you put locks on the fish tanks etc. Accidents happen in split seconds 🌱

I recommend that you connect a check valve to the air hose. The reason behind this is: when your air pump stops, the tank empties through the air pump because it is the lowest point..
or be sure the air pump is above the water lvl. Thnx for the share😊

About that solar panel, your going to want to move it. the tree with no leafs "at the moment of videoing" is going to grow and it's going to have leafs. consider the angle of the sun all day long, and all year long. the lids for the fish tank lined on the underneath side with a galvanized suffuse or something non-toxic. the heat from the sun is going to dry out the varnish , it's going to flake and end up in the water and eventually in your food Etc. , : ) good luck on everything. oh and if that's a chicken coop, put it on wheels so you can move it around. : ) have a wonderful life my friends. and God bless.

I would have sealed those ends of the poles up really well before sitting the tanks on them. Always dry fit plumbing system completely before gluing. Saves mistakes down the road. That way you can change things to see how you like them. I'd also lay down some weed fabric before hand and spread gravel to keep from having to cut weed around everything. One best videos I watch on the subject.

You have such a precious gift 🎁 in that little girl. Enjoy her now while she is small and young. I have 3 children and my baby is now 21. I have 6 grandchildren which 2 are adopted, 5 boys and 1 girl. The oldest is 5. A basketball ball team. When she turns about 4, watch out, because she will really start to grow and you won't now where all the time has gone. Be sure to take a lot of pictures and videos to document her growing up. She won't like you sharing them, but she will enjoy them later when she is grown. God bless you and that precious gift from GOD. Also great job on your aquaponics garden.

We are both now retired and crippled but still trying to finish all our builds here. We prob won't get this dream completed but thank goodness you are starting young I sure hope you complete all yours it will allow us to live thru you all. Thanks for sharing your build. Great team of workers too. Your interactions should show other young couples it's possible for each partner to share the work load, and without bickering!! Great accomplishments!

Well no they have their own boys that are teenagers. They grew up when I wasn't looking. I was off working, working overtime trying to survive after a divorce. My life didn't go as planned and still isn't. I hope you two have a wonderful happy life together ❤️. You appear to have the tile lifestyle that I wanted.

Your wife is a great help to you. This was a long fun video to watch get some bio balls in that filtration tank . The fish will put off more when you can grow fish food . These systems as you know take a bit of tweeking To get them just right. But when you do its amazing. For me even with a cover in florida heat my sub tank lost 10 gallons a day with evaporation . And trying to keep the water at a cooler temp was crazy. But 8 neighbors and our family had as much as we wanted 8 months out of year. I ended up loosing the fish too much of a hasel and used mixing soulution . Grew 3 times as fast . My stalks were 50 cent piece in diameter. Then cloned them in winter for next yearof planting . Sprinkle a little cinnamin around bottom of tomato plants for blyth. If the lava rocks get to hot and slow the growing season down use perlight in beds this holds moisture. And plants wont burn. Have fun . Baby sure is cute. Take care

Use blue talapia…..they can tolerate fairly wide range of pH. The fish you have are probably not big enough to provide enough nutrient to the plants…may need to supplement or reduce grow bed space until they get bigger. You can plant lettuce a lot closer together…..10 inches. If you make your inlet pipe to your fish tank swirl to make the water spin and put your suction pipe that goes to the radial flow separator in the middle of the tank, the solids will be forced into the middle and up into the pipe…thank you for sharing your experience….y’all have a beautiful family. I have been doing this for years and would love to connect. I use hygger heaters 800 watt to keep the water warm during cold periods. I’m in south Florida and there was one year I lost 1,200 fish because I took a chance on it not being too cold. You can insulate your fish tank and grow beds as well to help when to hot or to cold. All the best

He did 20 years in the Air Force even Vietnam now look at his wife alone trying to figure things out. absolutely love the setup, couple things though. if you just have the air stones in the fish tank, itll be alot less plumbing and the water will be oxygenated throughout the system, as well as feeding them, just feed the fish tank, not the beds. accomplishes the same thing in that system. especially since the turnover rate is so frequent.

I've been in permaculture but this is awesome. Aquaculture and hydroponics can he done commercially. This can also possible to integrate in housing design as an answer to space problem in cities.

Your dirt looks like a dream to dig in. Where I’m current at it’s nothing but rocks and sand. I literally bent my shovel trying to dig in it.

Excellent video. I miss my aquaponics system, but we are switching over to hydroponics and a greenhouse. The water is so bad here that it would kill my fish in a matter of hours. I love the way your system is setup. Nice and clean! Absolutely recommend this video for anyone that wants to learn about Aquaponics!

Lovely obsessions you've got there: Fish, Food, Daughter, and the Dead. Thanks for sharing. Good luck. Funny. They look a lot like conestoga wagons with the shade cloths. The ConestogAquaponics Garden.

Better to use a router to cot those circles, they are more accurate and less tedious. The project manager is really relaxed. Which means the workers are doing a good job.

Lava rocks are so sharp, river rock is better. you need more fish for more plant nutrients. If you start seedlings dont mess with the roots so much a little dirt does'nt hurt the system and more of your transplants will survive. Excellent job on the system. I started with tilapia but they do not like winter, so the next round will be catfish.

You could have ran the air lines through PVC pipes to keep the look consistent and clean. Maybe even run them through the 2" drain lines.
