    Hi, there I’ve changed the pulleys, visco and the fan clutch but it still makes a loud blowing noise when when driving and when stationary. I can feel loosing it’s power , can you help me im confused.

      Is the coolant full and have you changed the thermostat? Sometimes if it needs coolant or thermostat is faulty the car may get hot too quick and make the fan clutch kick in sooner or most of the time.

      @@cgcars3427Also the car never reaches the middle temp and its under like 10-20C* than the normal temp running(sorry my english is not my first language)

      @cgcars3427  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If your temp doesn't reach half way, it may be the thermostat not letting the car get to the right temp, or if fan clutch is faulty and is stuck on high speed, it is always working more than it should.

    The newspaper did stop my fan but only after holding it there for 5 or more seconds. Would this be a bad fan clutch? The engine was at operating temp but I wonder if the fan clutch was engaged because I was just idling at home didn’t drive anywhere

    • @cgcars3427

      Sometimes if the engine is not hot enough then it is hard to test at regular idle. Trying running the car or driving it for 20-30 minutes and then have someone rev the car to atleast 2000rpm for about 10 seconds. Try the newspaper then while revving and if it holds the fan then fan clutch is most likely bad.

    A need a advice with fan clutch My friend recomend a electric fan for My fan clutch is very danger when that piece fail put a break un My chest

      You can put electric fan, just make sure it has the right output needed to keep engine cool. I've always changed my fan clutch and blade every 20-30k miles and have not had any issues.

    Hello , what about a loud chirping noise coming from fan clutch area , like right behind radiator but goes away after 1k rpm. Is that grounds for a bad fan clutch ? Is sounds like a pulley almost but i dont think so i replaced just the broken fan blades with a new one but not the clutch

    • @cgcars3427
      @cgcars3427  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, it's hard to tell. Could be the fan clutch but also water pump since it's right on the clutch. Try removing the fan and fan clutch and see if it still makes the sound. Also may be easier to diagnose and listen if the fan clutch is off. Those water pumps wear out and start to fail and sometimes get noisy. Also if water pump has never been changed it is a good idea to just change it.

    My fan doesn't seem to speed up it always seems to be going at the same speed even when the engine goes above operating temperature, does that mean that the clutch is bad or is that normal? I've got overheating issues when on idle temp goes straight down as soon as I start to move.

    • @cgcars3427
      @cgcars3427  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When the car goes to normal operating temperature it doesn't necessarily go super fast at idle, just slightly until you drive and revv the car. When car is idle and then engine temperature starts rising the fan should engage and go a little faster. Also make sure coolant system is full and bled right, could also be thermostat. How old is the fan?

    • @donce2001

      @@cgcars3427 mine don't seem to even go slightly quicker and as far as I am aware that's never been changed its done about 130k miles and its a 330ci

    • @cgcars3427

      @Donatas Raveikis ok. You should change the fan clutch and fan blade and atleast it would be new and you don't have to worry about clutch meesing up in the Summer. Make sure to get the fan blade as they get weak over time and can just break out of nowhere. Would be a good idea to get a new water pump, thermostat and serpentine belt while you're at it.

    Hey could this cause a head gasket to go as well?

    • @cgcars3427
      @cgcars3427  ปีที่แล้ว

      Could definitely cause headgasket to go if car overheats. Usually the auxiliary fan would kick in for a little but may not be enough to keep car from overheating.

    Would it make a crinkly sound if its going out?

    • @cgcars3427
      @cgcars3427  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. If you spin it by hand it should be smooth and make absolutely no noise. I would change it asap because once it makes noise it can go out eventually or it can explode inside and just die suddenly and then you would have no fan working.

      @@cgcars3427 30 bucks on ebay, might as well, in 6 months I've already replaced radiator, water pump and power steering pump and the compressor just croaked, I got all new shocks ready to go, but everything I'm bout ready to put it in, something else happens, by the time I'm done, I'll have a whole new car. But I got it cheap with 112k miles hasn't crapped out even while all the other things were breaking down, I'm impressed. And being 15 years old, cheap parts are aplenty.

    When it’s failing does it make a loud clicking noise? When I start my car theres a loud clicking noise coming from it.

    • @cgcars3427
      @cgcars3427  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not really, haven't experienced that. Are you sure it's coming from the fan clutch and not the water pump? Water pump can make clicking noise when it's dying, or check if the fan blade is hitting something or is broken.

      @@cgcars3427 so i checked it. The clutch and water pump are solid and the fan has the proper amount of resistance when turned by hand. But then i wiggled it, the fan was coming loose from the clutch itself. Is that cause to buy a whole new fan or replace it with an electric version? Or is there a way to tighten the fan back onto the clutch?

    • @cgcars3427
      @cgcars3427  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @phoeveezy6398 you can tighthen the fan on the fan clutch. Hopefully all the screws are still there.

    • @cgcars3427
      @cgcars3427  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea you can tighten the screws that connect fan blades to clutch. You can buy either one separately, don't need the whole set. Wouldn't replace with an electric fan because then you have to get the right wire, relay and fan strength. Not worth it, just tighten fan or get new fan or clutch if needed.
