Fifa's gameplay is so far away from actual football nowadays that it feels like it's its own sport.... And I'm not saying this is a positive thing at all.

NBA 2K and PES have their own issues, but they at least give a good representation of their sports when it comes to gameplay

People buy it for the love of football , fifa has been really bad in the last 5 years and with no competition they will continue to be , it was a good game before while trying to compete with PES , once PES is done fifa improvements stopped .
That’s why I only buy Fifa everytime I feel there’s something new with the game or so. Last I played was 14, and I just bought 21 last week. But even then I’m still kinda disappointed.

In Brazil we had a PES pirate pack, it was called "Bomba Patch" every year they released a game, and 2 months in, the original game ended up outdated, then the Bomba Patch reorganized the leagues and put their music on, i loved it.

Same. Ultimate team is so dead. On division rivals I’m in div 7 as I did terrible in my placement games. And yet I come up against ppl with icons, Rashford Martial Dembele Moura and more. And squad battles is meh, because I play on Legendary, and tackling them is luck. It’s easy to score if you pass the ball continuously for 5 whole real life minutes. And they finish with any player
@@SHi96LLY play squad battles on your hardest difficulty. If you win you get 500-700 coins or smth. And then your rewards and all are good enough and are tradable. Then build up your team and then go to rivals. Hope this helps

@@chrissaghaas someone who does enjoy a bit of fifa from time to time, people don't buy fifa because it's good; they buy it since they want to stay up to date with the current football season since you have to take into account players moving to different clubs, clubs getting different managers, etc.
Careermode could be so damn good if they would put like 20% effort into it. Imagine if you could start with a crappy stadium and upgrade it so you dont play champions league with a stadium with 5000 fans or start with a 60000 stadium in the 3. league. Or if you play be a pro and actually get substituted in the game instead of having to skip the game
It’s not just that it’s the same every year. EA literally sells u half a game for a full price at launch, then updates the game week by week to make it complete. It’s stupid to buy a fifa game at launch, you gotta wait at least 3 months til it’s anywhere close to a full game.

its the formula of EA to never create a perfect FIFA game. if they would, buying the new game wouldnt make sense other then an updated player scheme. I player FIFA from 04 till 16, took a break and came back for fifa 21. I must say, this is the worst fifa installement i have ever played by far. Football will always be the same, if they really try hard every year they could get a close to perfection fifa and people (like me) would still buy it because of new uniforms and players every year.
This was the last FIFA I bought. I've been buying the game since FIFA 10 but then I started skipping one year. I bought FIFA 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21. I honestly loved 15 and 17 and they were probably two of the most fun FIFA games I've ever played but 19 just wasn't good for me and this year I was so fucking hyped to play FIFA again, but I quit on the game after the first two weeks. My game crashes every time I try to place a card on the transfer market, therefore, I simply cannot play UT. This has to be the most easy and boring Career Mode I've ever played, winning games like 8-2 and 5-3 on Ultimate, while trying to play a more "realistic" style of football instead of UT try hard. I haven't seen such dumb AI IQ as in this game. The AI literally just runs to the corner of the field and stays there 20 minutes going back and forward doing nothing. Midfielders literally stand near the attacker who has the ball and don't react, if you don't pick them up and do it yourself they'll just stay still. If you press L1/LB with your centerback he will literally run to the other team's goal not stoping at all and then he joggs his way back. I'm also not going to start with all the bugs in career mode such as the coaches using the team kits on the sideline, a random baldhead doing all the transfers for every team, the trainning system is interesting but it's so fucking boring to simulate them it's such a time waster, and many more little anoying things... I lost all the joy that I had playing this game and honestly, I'm glad about it!

Everything past 17 just didnt really add any major changes. 17 at least gave us a whole new engine and those cutscenes for transfers in career mode (which actually make it worse imo), but 18, 19 and all the other fifas past that have nothing going for them.
Bro I feel like the game was SOO good the first couple weeks. Players were making runs, passing was smooth, it felt so good. Now the gameplay is slow, none of my players are making runs and the passing is just terrible. Not to mention how it takes 50 tackles just to get the ball back

But I disagree, I think Starbound, at least without mods, is not great at all and is just a clunkier Terraria with less interesting content and awful movement. It doesn't "suck" as davo_ once said, but it's not really that good either.

Fr man, madden career mode is fun and it has cool things, the gameplay settings aswell are way better, you can pick simulation or arcade gamplay settings to give a realistic or high scoring, forgiving game. Fifa needs something like this

The one thing that bugs me more than anything is the same old goal replays with the same shots that look no different regardless of what player you're using, and they haven't bothered to change it since FIFA 17 I think.

Dont forget about dda in online games, where in fut u sometimes have an opponent getting 5 rebounds to score a goal while his keeper goes into godmode on 1v1s. Ive literally had games where i score 1 goal of 15 shots on target with all of em being in the box/1v1s etc only to lose 1:2 against a guy with 4 shots and both goals scored with 66 shot adama. Shooting stats dont matter, no matter if u hve 90 finishing or 65 if the game wants to ur guy will nuke the corner if not he botches the finish, every player with less than 80-85 balance and agility feels like u are moving a fridge, the defending is so bad that its actually better to not tackle, u literally just r2/l2 and intercept passes or position urself in front of ur oponent to block shots because tackling just sucks, u get yellow cards for touching ppls 2 mins into the game where they stumbled a bit but when the last man slidetackles ur striker from behind with no chance on the ball in a certain goalchance he just gets a yellow card as well. I dont know what else to say, ill still be playing the game and still be buying fifa 22 and still be hating myself everytime i do but at least I wont ever again spend money again on fut. Its actually kinda funny cause this year despite spending 150 euros like a moron I didnt get one drop over 10k in fut, every solid drop was from either rewards or sbcs or what not so it was literally a waste of money, if u at least get smth for it ok u can "justify" it but nah I wasted 150 bucks like a absolute monkey to draw the same discard totw 5 times. WL is basically unplayable most of the time due to the shitty servers making the game feel like ur players are stuck in the mud on weekends, yet it has the best rewards so I will keep playing it keep wanting to hang myself by sunday every week only to get the worst player picks imagineable. Imagine in a total of 30 player picks in fifa 19 and now 21 there was not one guy over 82 rated except one (good old parejo with 1 pace). To sum it up Ive played the game 200 hours by now that i will never get back and its gonna be another 30-40 this week only to hate myself. Have a great evening lads.
Here’s another reason, I bought the ultimate edition and 2 weeks later my whole fut team has been deleted and I can no longer use the transfer market. Apparently, after some research I have received a transfer market ban but that doesn’t explain why my whole team was deleted with no explanation. I will never buy fifa again.
They have to do something about these packs, not worth the grind anymore. Rewards are so poor I’m gonna have to stop playing. Best I’ve had is lukaku, had 14w every weekend since start. And somehow I kept coming up against mbappe, neymar, varane, mendy. Why am I getting matched against these guys?? Just bought fifa 21. My last fifa was the 19. And i was like "meh lets give fifa 21 a try"....IT IS EXACTLY LIKE FIFA 19. SAME CELEBRATIONS, SAME MECHANICS, SAME MENU, SAME GRAPHICS.... Barely some changes in career mode and thats 50£ down in the drain.
My brother spent about 200€ now for this shit, and says he’ll buy the 100€ edition of Fifa 22. Everytime he plays he just shouts and swears at the enemy, how shit the game and everything is, he’s clearly not having fun, yet he continues to play just to grind cause he wants them new players they shit out every week. you should do the bomb patch review, an unofficial version of fifa that is updated every year with new content depending on the season and events in the football world, showing that a pirate game takes more effort than EA And come to brazil
Fifa doesn't change anything not because the devs are incapable, but because they aren't paid to think. Most competent devs can come up with a football game that's loads more fun than Fifa, but EA has a de facto monopoly so they don't have any reason to improve the games. People will buy it anyway. So basically your Bomb patch thing doesn't prove anything. We already have tons of proof that EA's management is incompetent.
i actually might be kinda lonely in this, but sometimes i like to play really long matches with like 10-15 minutes half length, to create this extended atmosphere and sort of gives me an impression of a long realistic game. But when it's 3-2 after 20 minutes of in-game time already, i just stare at my screen in sorrow :(

If that weren't true we wouldn't have yearly releases. Also Konami specifically has a track record of sabotaging their own games through sheer stupidity. I don't know nor care if the newest version does this, but for years now Pes on PC was running on the same version the 360 and PS3 were while the steam screenshots were of the PS4 and Xbox one. This game has ruined completely... I play season rival and first half just in 30 minutes the score already 4-2 ffs... My defender suddenly be a noob defender overall like 50/60... I'm done with this game.. It's scripted & already decide to make me lose every match & get comeback by opponent always by a stupid easy goal
That explains it, i was wondering why do i have to play on 2 levels harder than on FIFA 19, the AI sucks and when i play on Pro player mode, my teams sucks way more than the opponent one and i can't do anything when my team keeps doing useless passes and losing possession over and over again on their own. Lol these days, i only buy his game for Pro clubs and co op seasons. The offline gameplay has always been stale but this year it's terrible. I tried it to see if it had improved but I stopped playing after a few games. I agree with everything you said, defending is non existent and attacking is overpowered. PES offline gameplay is leagues ahead. If you can look past the lack of broadcast packages then give it a go if you enjoy realistic gameplay

Made the switch to PES this year. Every goal feels earned and I’m having way more fun than I’ve had playing FIFA17-20.
I liked pes but having to spend ages downloading and implementing unlicensed kits just to get some immersion is a big putoff.

its the formula of EA to never create a perfect FIFA game. if they would, buying the new game wouldnt make sense other then an updated player scheme.
I player FIFA from 04 till 16, took a break and came back for fifa 21. I must say, this is the worst fifa installement i have ever played by far.
I agree on all your critic about this game, it has a rubbish engine. Seriously, its more thrash then you can collect in a human lifetime.
They could do what pes is doing which is £30 for a season update rather than a new game,obviously ea would never do this but if they made a fifa that was actually good again they could actually put some effort into making a great football game and then sell season updates,would actually work for them long term as they genuinely wouldnt have to work on the game anymore really
Football will always be the same, if they really try hard every year they could get a close to perfection fifa and people (like me) would still buy it because of new uniforms and players every year.
This was the last FIFA I bought. I've been buying the game since FIFA 10 but then I started skipping one year. I bought FIFA 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21. I honestly loved 15 and 17 and they were probably two of the most fun FIFA games I've ever played but 19 just wasn't good for me and this year I was so fucking hyped to play FIFA again, but I quit on the game after the first two weeks. My game crashes every time I try to place a card on the transfer market, therefore, I simply cannot play UT. This has to be the most easy and boring Career Mode I've ever played, winning games like 8-2 and 5-3 on Ultimate, while trying to play a more "realistic" style of football instead of UT try hard. I haven't seen such dumb AI IQ as in this game. The AI literally just runs to the corner of the field and stays there 20 minutes going back and forward doing nothing. Midfielders literally stand near the attacker who has the ball and don't react, if you don't pick them up and do it yourself they'll just stay still. If you press L1/LB with your centerback he will literally run to the other team's goal not stoping at all and then he joggs his way back. I'm also not going to start with all the bugs in career mode such as the coaches using the team kits on the sideline, a random baldhead doing all the transfers for every team, the trainning system is interesting but it's so fucking boring to simulate them it's such a time waster, and many more little anoying things... I lost all the joy that I had playing this game and honestly, I'm glad about it!

17 was honestly when FIFA peaked. 18 wasn't as good but it was alright but 19 felt like the final nail in the coffin.

Everything past 17 just didnt really add any major changes. 17 at least gave us a whole new engine and those cutscenes for transfers in career mode (which actually make it worse imo), but 18, 19 and all the other fifas past that have nothing going for them.

Bro I feel like the game was SOO good the first couple weeks. Players were making runs, passing was smooth, it felt so good. Now the gameplay is slow, none of my players are making runs and the passing is just terrible. Not to mention how it takes 50 tackles just to get the ball back

Fr man, madden career mode is fun and it has cool things, the gameplay settings aswell are way better, you can pick simulation or arcade gamplay settings to give a realistic or high scoring, forgiving game. Fifa needs something like this

The one thing that bugs me more than anything is the same old goal replays with the same shots that look no different regardless of what player you're using, and they haven't bothered to change it since FIFA 17 I think.

Worst 30$ I've ever spent wtf EA.. the defensive ai is atrocious and the goalkeepers can't hold on to the ball at all like its Alien to them wtf is going on during development wtf
Dont forget about dda in online games, where in fut u sometimes have an opponent getting 5 rebounds to score a goal while his keeper goes into godmode on 1v1s. Ive literally had games where i score 1 goal of 15 shots on target with all of em being in the box/1v1s etc only to lose 1:2 against a guy with 4 shots and both goals scored with 66 shot adama. Shooting stats dont matter, no matter if u hve 90 finishing or 65 if the game wants to ur guy will nuke the corner if not he botches the finish, every player with less than 80-85 balance and agility feels like u are moving a fridge, the defending is so bad that its actually better to not tackle, u literally just r2/l2 and intercept passes or position urself in front of ur oponent to block shots because tackling just sucks, u get yellow cards for touching ppls 2 mins into the game where they stumbled a bit but when the last man slidetackles ur striker from behind with no chance on the ball in a certain goalchance he just gets a yellow card as well. I dont know what else to say, ill still be playing the game and still be buying fifa 22 and still be hating myself everytime i do but at least I wont ever again spend money again on fut. Its actually kinda funny cause this year despite spending 150 euros like a moron I didnt get one drop over 10k in fut, every solid drop was from either rewards or sbcs or what not so it was literally a waste of money, if u at least get smth for it ok u can "justify" it but nah I wasted 150 bucks like a absolute monkey to draw the same discard totw 5 times. WL is basically unplayable most of the time due to the shitty servers making the game feel like ur players are stuck in the mud on weekends, yet it has the best rewards so I will keep playing it keep wanting to hang myself by sunday every week only to get the worst player picks imagineable. Imagine in a total of 30 player picks in fifa 19 and now 21 there was not one guy over 82 rated except one (good old parejo with 1 pace). To sum it up Ive played the game 200 hours by now that i will never get back and its gonna be another 30-40 this week only to hate myself. Have a great evening lads.
Another thing to add to career mode is that if your team is doing bad on the log, fans should stop coming to your games little by little.

Here’s another reason, I bought the ultimate edition and 2 weeks later my whole fut team has been deleted and I can no longer use the transfer market. Apparently, after some research I have received a transfer market ban but that doesn’t explain why my whole team was deleted with no explanation. I will never buy fifa again.

Rewards are so poor I’m gonna have to stop playing. Best I’ve had is lukaku, had 14w every weekend since start. And somehow I kept coming up against mbappe, neymar, varane, mendy. Why am I getting matched against these guys?? Sort the matchmaking out or sort your garbage rewards out in packs to make this game bearable please!!

The gameplay is genuinely horrendous especially defending and goalkeeping. Every game is 5-4 even on 4 minutes. The controller doesnt even do what you tell it, players just stand there crabbing.
It's just terrible. I'm hoping for a refund
Just bought fifa 21. My last fifa was the 19. And i was like "meh lets give fifa 21 a try"....IT IS EXACTLY LIKE FIFA 19. SAME CELEBRATIONS, SAME MECHANICS, SAME MENU, SAME GRAPHICS.... Barely some changes in career mode and thats 50£ down in the drain.

you should do the bomb patch review, an unofficial version of fifa that is updated every year with new content depending on the season and events in the football world, showing that a pirate game takes more effort than EA

Fifa doesn't change anything not because the devs are incapable, but because they aren't paid to think. Most competent devs can come up with a football game that's loads more fun than Fifa, but EA has a de facto monopoly so they don't have any reason to improve the games. People will buy it anyway.

i actually might be kinda lonely in this, but sometimes i like to play really long matches with like 10-15 minutes half length, to create this extended atmosphere and sort of gives me an impression of a long realistic game. But when it's 3-2 after 20 minutes of in-game time already, i just stare at my screen in sorrow :(

I have no way of confirming what you said, but my core problem is that both games are lazily slapped together pieces of junk meant to sucker people with no sense of quality. If that weren't true we wouldn't have yearly releases.
Also Konami specifically has a track record of sabotaging their own games through sheer stupidity. I don't know nor care if the newest version does this, but for years now Pes on PC was running on the same version the 360 and PS3 were while the steam screenshots were of the PS4 and Xbox one. This is false advertisement, a literal crime in most of the world.
This game has ruined completely... I play season rival and first half just in 30 minutes the score already 4-2 ffs... My defender suddenly be a noob defender overall like 50/60... I'm done with this game.. It's scripted & already decide to make me lose every match & get comeback by opponent always by a stupid easy goal

That explains it, i was wondering why do i have to play on 2 levels harder than on FIFA 19, the AI sucks and when i play on Pro player mode, my teams sucks way more than the opponent one and i can't do anything when my team keeps doing useless passes and losing possession over and over again on their own.

Lol these days, i only buy his game for Pro clubs and co op seasons. The offline gameplay has always been stale but this year it's terrible. I tried it to see if it had improved but I stopped playing after a few games. I agree with everything you said, defending is non existent and attacking is overpowered.
PES offline gameplay is leagues ahead. If you can look past the lack of broadcast packages then give it a go if you enjoy realistic gameplay
