I didn’t go to school in the 70s and 80s to learn about long winded Maori names and places. I got my School Cert I got my University Entrance I worked hard at school and I work hard now. I had a client bought up in Maori only schools, she couldn't speak enough English (kiwi or nz) and was isolated from all other people in the country she was born in and was dependant on her wider family to translate. How is this good or beneficial to anyone? Especially the students.
