in my opinion the scene of the other wybie's clothes being hung is the most underrated part of the movie
I just love the other wybie and wish there were more videos about him
That Other Wybie flag definitely does a lot of the heavy lifting for how creepy Other Bobinsky's apartment is!
@@TheFangirlWatches for sure (i hope we hear more from you about the other wybie in the future)
@@TheFangirlWatchesdid you know that Wybie was not in the original book but was created for the movie
During this scene when Coraline see the other wybie clothes I felt her pain of not being able to save him from the beldam grasp
don't be too sad about it, he's not a real person, just another illusion
i thought he said: "we will listen to you and LAUGH with you"
even if the "eyes" really did contain all the power the movie implies, Coraline wouldn't know how to use it. Maybe somone who knows about magic would be able to use the eyes to bend the other world to their wills, but Coraline has no clue how to do that.
You and The Theorizer are the two channels I constantly go to for Coraline content. Favorite movie, love watching all the videos/theories about this movie!
You mentioned the smoothness of the camera movement early on, it doesn't mean that it's 3D-animated, it's actually motion-tracked. Any good editing video can stabilize the camera like this (you loose a bit of details on the sides since it gets cropped a bit).
Nowadays, it's very common to use motorized camera rigs. I think Laika just had a camera tech program the movement into a gimbal/slider combo, press record and let the movement play out in the set, effectively making the shot live action.
You know, it could be Coraline doesn't bother trying to use the eyes because she doesn't know how to use magic, after all she had no idea magic was even real until this point, or she could just working under the assumption that it's a type of magic only the Beldam can manipulate either because its what she does or because the Beldam has been in the world longer then Coraline and would know how it works.
Huskinski 😂😆🤣!!! Classic! Good one FanGirl!
For why Coraline doesn't use the power from the spheres, I think it's because she'd need to be magical like the Beldam to use it (like how Hades ember in Descendants 3 only worked for him and other people who were his blood but with being magical rather than blood) or it's something only the Beldam can use(like how Evie's magic mirror in Descendants only worked for her).
I know this is a bit far in after the scene, but I think the Beldam tapping her button eye was her giving a clue, but a repeat of her previous clue- "hidden in plain sight"
I think that POV shot moving around the corner was just done with a video camera at a regular frame rate. We know they had a model of the house they could move a camera around with. The model of the house is in a museum.
Perhaps the button shadow is like a loading screen for the Pink Palace Limbo. The reason The Other Mother doesn’t mention it is because it wasn’t for Coraline, and it would freak her out.
Always looking forward to your Coraline videos ❤
I Know I'm taking some creative liberties at this point, but in My Little Pony chrysalis. Is described as a changeling who takes the form of someone you love and gains power by feeding off your love for them. And since the fan girl believes that the bell dam feeds off magic or love between one's mother and child. I believe the bell dam sounds a lot like that. Tell me I'm wrong.
Maybe the reason Mel and Charlie have the same things multiplied might be for insurance grabs (like they’re struggling with the catalogue so they need extra money)? That’s why there’s extra things as if they get blood or anything on them, they are just replacing them (like with the white top, it’s so difficult to get stains out of them) - same with the neck brace - if for whatever reason it breaks, they have a spare! 👀
damn im surprised u replied to my comment, interested to see more!
Hi Megan, we are always looking forward to your new videos with great impatience and interest, your analytics and theories are incomparable. Thank you very much. And such a question, maybe it would be interesting for you to analyze the plot of video games such as Little Nightmares for example?
i used to not like rats. but i love them now
Good video. Very interesting analysis 👍
Coraline is classic!
I really don't think that's how the ghost eyes would work just having something doesn't automatically mean you know how to use it hell even if Coraline thought to use them she might not be able to she's only human and only recently got introduced to this magical world who's to say she could use them even if she wanted to? And remember it's not Bobinsky (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) using the eyes it's the Beldam even if this is all real and not a ruse the Beldam would want to save as much energy as possible it makes sense to make one of the wonders really not as wondrous as before and why not make it the one with the rats who seem to able to more or less operate on their own?
OMG I APPEARED IN A VIDEO!!!! 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Yeah i think the cat is supposed to be a conduit for maturin which to be a ethereal creature that suppose to help humans to defeat a being that capable of changing reality or full illusions
How come you you think having multiple pairs of the same clothing is weird? I have about 15 pairs of the same pants and possibly eight pairs of the same shirt, but I am also very pick and have sensory issues.
I too have serval copies of clothing. If it fits and works and I can wear it comfortably. I get multiple just for practical reasons.
Not like 15 pairs of similar pants, all the same brand/cut/size? That is a lot to me! I mean... I know I have a similar issue with pants because I'm a woman that's 5'10" and all American pants for women are based around a size 5'4" height, so I get "if it fits, I'll take them all!" But 3+ copies of the same shirt? I can't think of any top that I ever bought twice.
Same here. I think many more people do this than she realizes. For a lot of reasons…Comfort/sizing/style/
availability/economics/
a minimalist aesthetic/etc.

Yeah..this scene was quite disturbing. I'm not a fan of rats. Although, my favourite scene is yet to come
I made it to the end!😁
So.. the reason Coraline 2 is never going to happen is because Coraline is forever trapped in the other world and.. dead.. 😮
I love Wybie, not sorry 🖤. Fly that weirdo, quirky, creepy freak flag high my boy! He’s funny and my mind will not be changed 😆!
So, no one has commented on your rodent question on this video that I can see. I actually thought the mice were gerbils because they have furry tails and mice/rats by and large have "naked" tails except for a chinese rodent called a jerboa that actually looks a lot like the mice before they turn into rats. I love rodents and had multiple pairs of gerbils and now have a chinchilla because it is one of the longer-living mammals of the rodent family. I know a lot of people dislike rodents, though, so I think this scene is definitely meant to be disturbing.
so im the first comment who isnt a member
Also I love how husk insky moves as its a cool concept for a guy to made out of rats and then we see the true form
