Looking through the comments here, and I know I'm late.
I think people tend to assume that Daniil and Artemy are just shipped because, hey, they're in the same room together. And given that they don't spend much time together, and aren't friendly when they are, it's super easy to assume that.
However, when you actually go through their stories, see the parallels. Their dichotomy. How much they both sacrifice for the town. Inadvertently get in each others way. Help each other. Survive basically a total societal collapse. What basically looks like the end of the world.
It's easy to take a step back and be like, maybe under less tragic circumstances these good men pushed to do horrible things could maybe be friends.
And maybe also kiss.
Iam surprised Pathologic does not have a 'Gay or European' animatic.
