    That looks too beautiful to run. Nice job. Like everybody, I'm really surprised they haven't re-released these. This one was high on my list back in '89 and I'd love to build it.

      @@robotkiller99 Yeah, it came out great. If you can find one in decent shape it is worth picking them up. They are so much fun to drive. You can find parts too, not super easy, but they are out there. I have a running video on the channel too. I ran it with a worn out Trinity Speedworks 350 motor and it overheated on me on the first run, I've fixed it since then and it's running great. Thanks for watching!

    It looks fantastic!! It is a shame we cannot get a real re-release of this, I would love to have one but do not have the patience to track down all the parts and I don't want to pay the crazy prices for Losi kits. I am glad you got one and it is a really great addition to the collection.

      @@AddamsPlayground No kidding Addam...finding hardware, shock collars, bearings in the correct size, shock seals, thrust bearing balls...took so much time, I am super happy with it now, but it took months to track things down. But I had to rescue it! The first 2 Losi cars are part of RC history. I can't wait to run it now. Just waiting for some nice weather now. It's either too humid, raining or I'm working. Gggrrrrr. Thanks for watching! I'm so close to 1k subscribers!

      @@coygtrc Hey! Glad you like it! It's a labor of love, I don't think many people would spend months finding, purchasing vintage parts... restoring original parts. Patience definitely paid off on this one. I might get it out for a run in the dirt this weekend, the weather in NY should be 👍

    Love the truck dude! Looks great!! I ended up 3D printing a shorty adapter that slots into the rear bulkhead. I couldn't find a battery that fit either.

      @@nrtv20 Thanks! The only ones that fit are soft case lipo batteries...the shorty option is great too because you can use the existing holes. Also saves weight. Thanks for watching!

    Bought mine when I was 13 in 1990 and had no issue putting together. Then shortly after the LxT came out and they offered the conversion kit which I thought was a steal. Had so many hope up parts for it. Kept it immaculate too and thru it after every race. Then like a dummy sold it around 97 or 98. They are a gold mine now lol

      @eekrc  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kurtwandro7517 Oh No! I did the same with my RCs back in the day, I sold my entire collection to buy computer parts and a bass guitar. Remember how much computers were back then? 😂 I love running the JRXT, it handles great...it's going to stay in the collection. Not making the same mistake twice!

      @eekrc  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@rc-dom-uk Super happy with the results, you can really see that they were going for an all out race truck with these. Those rear tires are so chunky, perfect for the tracks back then. They were all loose dirt, like the spot in your videos! 👍

      @@rcicons4915 Thanks Keith! It came out great. Look at those rear tires, perfect for your track and the tracks back in the day. The vintage Losi RCs were made really well. Other than the body and the plastic parts on the shocks (collars/top shock mounts/rear lower shock mounts) this thing is really durable and was a pleasure to rebuild.

    I loved this. I remember batteries not fitting. I remember the losi double sided tape held that servo like nothing else. You had to pry it off with a screwdriver. I think the biggest maintenance item was gears and ball diff

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@danjaz2000 OMG yes! They drilled holes for the servo mount on this one, but they also used the Losi provided servo tape. That stuff was like glue! It took me forever to get it all off. I can tell the ball diff could be an issue. I have a spare I picked up. Seems like it is happy when it's tight, I heard they melt when running too loose. They definitely had flaws, but for the late 80s early 90s these were so good.

      I had one as an 8th grader. It was my pride and joy. I wish I could replace it. I've bought 3 AE re-release cars. I never owned one. I did it only to bring me back to old my days of RC. The JRXT was the smoothest handling car/truck in that era. I'm still heavily involved with RC, but damn I want that truck again. It was the best!!

      @briananderson124 I did the same I got a rc10 and rc10t. I will build them over Xmas like the good old days. But if you got the bug again for vintage rc. You should look at a kyosho to mix it up. They are a pleasure to build and drive. Top quality re re buggys from what I can tell

    Losi should have done a rere in 1/10 or at least 1/8 not that stupid little toy rere.

      @@JJ78n You are so right, what a waste. They are missing out on the resurgence of vintage RCs.
