I've been wanting to be a videogame composer for a while now and have been wanting to find a way to get a job. I was surprises to find a channel that focuses on how to do it. Definitely gonna watch a lot of your stuff

What kind of ‘local’ events do you think would interest game developers?
Explaining about music interactivity with real games examples, and showing the power of middleware (showing Wwise projects etc)?
    Or?

Those topics would interest game composers & sound designers, but not game devs. I suggest attending local game dev meetups where game devs talk about & show off their games. You will likely be the only game audio person there, which makes you a prime candidate :)

When you are working on a video game, are you supplying only music and stems, or are you also programming the playback in middleware?

I try to meet the devs in the middle by supplying WAV or OGG files that already have reverb tails built in so they can import the audio into the game engine and nobody has to mess with middleware. To be transparent though, I’ve never worked on a game with adaptive / dynamic audio that needed middleware.
