.......NGL I had to go double check my old girl '1998' and this removes the flow/lag from the stock intercooler 10/10 you know I'll be be doing this again cheer mate
I've got a 2005 Ford Ranger here in the UK with this engine, I'll be sure to do this mod. My truck is missing the Ford Turbo badge off the top the engine, let me know if you know where I can get one. can't find one anywhere. Great video, thanks,
Cheers man. I'm in a town with no parts shop so was wondering what size boost line should I get please? Inner diameter is what I'm after. Cheers buddy.. nice video btw
Dosnt change the waste gate pressure but you get true boost pressure at your inlet manifold and fuel added quicker due to compensator reading from turbo
I did this and it seriously doesn’t make any difference. Fin dog does a comparison before and after and theres actually no difference whatsoever. I just changed mine back. Complete waste of time.
Did this to my 2001 courier. What a difference. Works exactly like he says if not better. Not a laggy piece of 💩 anymore
Did this, 100% works as described. Super easy cheers! 🤙

Hi mate, I am not diesel savvy.
But how would bringing fuel on earlier affect the timing?
And load on the motor?
Did it, ran worse
did this to my ranger with same engine
its noticeable improve the acceleration speed
I guess I did feel some kind of boost early right before reaching 2k rpm. Usually I'd feel it when past it

I have the same truck, has that mod worked for you?
So intake to wategate and compensater to turbo?
Yeah bro
I did this on my automatic wlt this dont work on me i think i have to adjust my compenstor
Hey bro where the others hose going?? I see 2 hose but idk where's the other ones connected I have my 2001 courier the turbo never kick in bro idk why
@XploreRanger should answer this......Am also wondering. I have a 2008 model 2.5l
????
Do you need to run a boost controller
Done, thank you 👍
What size is the hose
Is this mod possible to Isuzu Bighorn?
be sure to use lines compatible with oil and heat otherwise the lines will soften and turn into balloons as mine did.
Any chance you know where to run the boost T for the gauge? I can’t seem to figure it out
@@kvng_975 Intake manifold to Diesel pump compensator vacuum hose. Other words, the hose he's swapping onto the actuator
Not to sure if you will reply but worth a shot. where would you run your boost T for your gauge if you do this ??
Sorry ! Been of yt for a while ! , I installed a Tee fitting on the intake manifold line
Cheers man. I'm in a town with no parts shop so was wondering what size boost line should I get please? Inner diameter is what I'm after. Cheers buddy.. nice video btw
4mm
whats the hose size?
is there any difference with automatic gearbox? max boost i'm getting only at 0.7 bar.
Yes. Auto Box ratios are a lot different but boost only shows through throttle amount.
While your there could you show me where the pcv is located
What are the pros and cons? Will it damage the turbo due to overboost?
There is no over boost , you’ll just get actual waste gate pressure in the intake manifold
Where on the turbo does th line go ? Need instructions
I had the same problem. I need to see a close up of the connection points.
Wastegate actuator
Is you car still running with this mod and has you fuel economy gone down?
Yeah had it in my old courier for years and nah fuel eco still 👍
Hey sorry late reply 😅. No fuel economy still fine only effects spool time really
This is the same as the 2006 bravo engine right ?
Not really sure mate , haven’t actually seen a bravo , don’t think we get them . but this is the 2.5L WL T motor
@@XploreRangerNZL yeah I think it's the same. The Ford is actually a Mazda B2500 I,ll try this ,thanks mate.
what side hose?
size*
4mm
Got any tricks for getting over 90 k/ph without overheating and using a tank in an hour? 😅
Check your viscous fan bro if it’s over heating when loaded up
Can you do this to a stock courier? Will it fuck it?
Maybe. It will be either good or shit.
@@chirnobyl3759 lmao i got a boost tap now
Yeah I do it to every Courier I get , won’t affect it at all in a negative way
Bought a 95 V6 4.0 5 speed for 2700.00. It was rode hard. Odometer stuck at 232,000 miles. Did a little work on it. The thing hauls ass.
I have a 2.5 turbo diesel bt50 2011 and it doesn't have these hoses is it a different setup in my car
2011 bt50 has a 3.0L
Hi yes different setup you run a vnt turbo setup so no waste gate it runs boost solo pods and all that variable vaine trickery
Hey bro how much psi does that give?
Dosnt change the waste gate pressure but you get true boost pressure at your inlet manifold and fuel added quicker due to compensator reading from turbo

Made mine sluggish as hell
Must have done something seriously wrong then
A better explanation. th-cam.com/video/rq52TsHqZFc/w-d-xo.html
You made the mistake of adding the hose back onto the wastegate ;)
?
Just a joke Southwood.
Hahaha all the boosts
Haaaaa!!!!!!
Don't do this!
Wrong no effective
Did it wrong then
