Or it could be that Suo's wish was interpreted as "I want to not exist" and the others are just collateral damage to his suicide

This one was deep alright, but I think they should've done the same for Suo's backstory though cause it's kinda too cliché for the results to be turning off his emotions
@@giancarlourielmarpa6037 speaking of Suo, I'm actually was interested with him until the last two episode. Yeah he will sure cut off emotions after his parents' death but his just like total void to the point I started to hate him.
@@szekaisim3952 I would like Suo more if he was actually more "empty". As in "he only does stuff like taking care of personal hygiene and go to school" because his uncle tells him to (not even in a "order" tone. just a "please can yo do it").
And he being so "nothing" he does it just like a task in the most robotical low effort way possible

I feel bad for poor Hikari. She was so worried about her brother, ended up in the hospital and became the Fated One of Time and is trying to change Akina’s fate😭And now she’s fighting her own brother to convince him to quit (I’m excited for this fight tbh).
I’m confused, MC wants to change his sister’s fate but she turned out fine without a wish so why still participate?

I had another thought... there's 7 fated ones... the wish needed 5 losses... in the Oath Under Snow Illya movie, Shiro wished on the class cards including the extra that was a fake and the original wasn't used in the way it was supposed to be. If Akina wins, could the design force take the necessary stuff from the Fated one of time to do the miracle? Or would that be too much of a plot twist?

Its just a maybe, but maybe the miracle can be done on much higher tier with Rezael absorbing Amorta's mark too.

I actually greatly appreciate that this episode didint have a fight and just let the plot do its thing. That being said, a shame the outcome of the fight next episode is probably a given
He probably going to win but lose to suo then convince him to do another wish but the wish would not be granted since wish that are guaranteed must be related to the vanguard wish / destiny . Varga a skilled warrior = girl wanted to be a pro , razeal wanting to reieve his lost one = akina situation. Then bladmire going to be some antiganist or not who knows 😅

Seeing her on the floor during the winter scene reminded me of the little matchstick girl. Hikari’s original storyline is so sad 😢
It's a lot more worse than that. She was working hard to find her loved one and no one give a damn about it. I mean, you may not be a super detective who can find any missing person but taking one of those flyers would've been a good way of showing that you care at the least despite not being able to help her in a direct way.
I was ticked off when those jerks just walked by a crying Hikari just asking to take a flyer to help find her missing brother, and she was ill and coughing violently on top of that with no one bothering to even acknowledge her until she eventually passed out. That's the human race for you... Those pieces of crap... 😡
I felt so bad for Hikari here... I hope they manage to change fate where Akina wins (and lives) and Hikari's cured of her illness. These 2 cinnamon roll siblings deserve a happy ending! 🙏

Not really that kinda thing happens everywhere not just Japan even in the west no one really cares about anyone else unless they either profit from it somehow or feels forced to it's just how people are can't blame them tbh.
@@liberleo1384yeah it’s a fact that the larger group the less likely someone will get help, because it goes by the mentality of people thinking that somebody else will help. Thus thinking it’s fine to not help but if it’s a smaller group of people you feel more obliged to help.
Poor Hikari. I can only imagine how she must have felt not knowing what became of her brother for three years, desperately hoping he was still alive, only to learn that he died after Suo won the Fated Clash. And that even after she told Akina everything, he still refused to drop out with the possibility that he could still cure his Hikari’s illness. We also learn why Akina is so protective of her since he blames himself for her feeling ill during a camping trip.
So Suo actually did win the Fated Clash, only for his wish to inadvertently kill him, Akina, and the other participants, aside from Taizou. The stakes have definitely been raised for this final fight.
On another note, it’s interesting that the fox mask Hikari wore wasn’t just an ascetic choice to hide her identity, but it served as her means of traveling to the past. It’s a nice detail and it makes sense why she wouldn’t just tell Akina what happened. Knowing that his little sister time traveled after winning her Fated Class would only add more incentive to winning his if it meant curing his sister.
Imagine how much restraint she had to use to just not tell him everything back then. Maybe she was even crying behind the mask.
It is really sad that, she trying to tell him everything (maybe even do it in front of her past self to further convince them), would just make him think "So she can still survive even with her illness... That means she can get cured! I will do it!"
The only surprising thing is that she didn't challenge Suo herself
The mask doesn't allow her to travel back to the past, that's just her wish. The mask was created to disguise her voice, that's why she speaks with Gabwelius' VA when wearing the mask

Either he somehow survived the void or the "present" him went to the future to do something.
Notice how he completely ignores Hikari's hospital room.
Except future Akina doesn’t have that Red/White cowlick in his hair. I think this might be the Future version of Yu-yu Kondou. Though, that’s because my head canon is that Yu-yu and Akina are cousins (which in all fairness is never explored or brought at any point so far).

This is definitely a very very painful emotional roller coaster.

First of all big shout-out to Hikari's VA Eri Yukimura. She did an amazing job 👏👏.
Holy moly as the eldest of 3 siblings my heart breaks seeing Hikari struggles so very bad to search for her brother despite her illness. Hate seeing that if that happens to my siblings God forbid.
And wow almost everyone predict that Akina wins but in exchange for his own life but no. Suo wins and legit wishes for... nothing. Which Blangdmire interpreted killing everyone in 100km.
I wanna know more about the sibling tho especially the camping incident which probably is the next episode.

And this is just really increase my love for Hikari bro. It's like life is just giving her scraps constantly, but she puts on a smile to act like it's not a big deal. But the thing that what's too much was losing her loving brother. And having to go through that for years (with a mom who knows where, and a dad who is just at work 😑)
Akina and Hikari's relationship is a big centerpiece to this series. In the next episode we'll find out just why *does* Akina want to help her so badly. Like maybe out of guilt?😣
@@ZenithintheMaking Tbf, you can't say Suo's wrong lol. Since day 1 we saw of him he's always been Zero here, void there but for good reason tho. I saw a theory somewhere that Blangdmire himself is currently influencing Suo ala Diffiride so maybe Suo's not 100% in control of himself.
@@ZenithintheMaking I think it was mentioned that their parents was divorced. Could be wrong on that tho. I'm guessing Hikari always had a weak constitution but Akina either didn't know about it or thought it wasn't a big deal. So he ended up dragging Hikari to some highly physical activities and caused her to get a heartstroke or something.
I also want to call out Eri Yukimura on her role/vocal performance of Hikari, job well done but I feel bad for poor Hikari yet this episode really made me love her even more.
Sure it’s a shame given how the result will be but regardless, I am rooting for both characters for the next episode obviously, as for this one, I really loved it from start to finish!!!

Akina wins against Future Hikari, then he will defeat Suo. Or maybe Suo still wins, but he actually makes a decent wish after being convinced by Akina.

Not necessarily. The chances of Akina defeating Suo went up since he developed his no heal/sentinel strategy to give him a shot at defeating Taizou, which he likely didn’t do in Hikari’s timeline since Taizou didn’t compete in the Fated Clash.
The episode was great it was dramatic moments between Akina and Future Hikari. Next week the battle of Siblings of Akina vs Future Hikari for an epic cardfight.
Hikari topped into being best girl of the season.
ok so I am guessing that Akina friend was the one who help Hikari survive cause there is no way that she was able to survive for 3 years without help because of her sickness and she was too underage to get a job.

Man I got chills from this episode knowing that our Main cast technically died in another timeline is like seeing the bad ending in our first play through and afterwards going through new game + to change the fate of our favorite characters, we get to learn a bit more about what happened to Hikari in the past and why her brother goes through all this, this is a pretty good episode I liked it :3
Yo shoutout to Taizo for probably housing future Hikari. The Fated Clash probably took over the span of days, and we can't have our girl being homeless.
And damn this made me feel pain for Hikari, not knowing what happened to Akina and being ignored by the public for help for 3 years, that's messed up and real.
I'm fairly certain that Akina will win, but how is questionable given the gap in skill here. The bigger problem is Blangdmire, the only counters I can think of are Blitz Orders or holding onto your OT and praying you got a persona ride next turn. There is one other option, but I'm fairly certain keter can't do this, and that's mess with Suo's soul or bind zone, but that'd just be buying time.

Keter does have some nice Blitz Order though, like the one that let you get up to 4 heals from drop and put it to GC. Get the crit counter heal and you'll have at least 50K shield with just two Heals.
I noticed from playing around a bit online that if your deck is tanky enough, say like Lascaria, you could survive Blangdmire Divine Skill just fine.
@@tweetug3697 In the anime, they don't use counter heal let alone orders. Zorga is exception since his skill requires to use that.

Although I suppose everyone into Vanguard would at least know of the place, given that's where the Yu-Yu vs Gui fight (or well the Uniformers vs Blackout fight) took place and think "how did THIS place became a crater so suddenly?"

This episode actually explained one thing that has been bothering me since episode 3. Usage of Rezael to heal someone does not actually kill the user. It's just something Hikari came up with to distract Akina (and us viewers as well) from the truth. Very clever idea in my opinion.
It could also have been a means to hint at Blangdmire that the trigger would not save him that time

Aside from the character designs, it now looks like a story created by the girls at CLAMP.
I’m not one to call out someone, but feel like in this case I should:
If you see a comment from KesslerVTuber on here or any other Vanguard episodes, then I would strongly advise you to just ignore him. Week after week this guy posts nothing but rants about every DivineZ episode that get more unhinged with every week, to the point where he calls the timeline Future Hikari comes from the “good timeline” because nearly all of the cast is dead and it’d be better if she had died too. It’s honestly disturbing how someone could hate this anime so much that they’d want the characters dead.
I, among others, have tried reasoning with him, suggesting not to watch the series if he hates it that much or to at least not comment if it’s just to rant, but he then gets defensive, replying that he can say what he wants while hypocritically telling anyone who doesn’t like what he says not to comment, as if playing the victim justifies what he’s said.
At this point, it feels like he’s leaving these comments just to seek attention, to which I again advise everyone to just ignore him. People like him seem to get a kick out of angering others from the safety of they’re screen, treating it like some sort of game, but if you don’t react then they’ll have no power over you. And at the end of the day, Kessler still loses because none of his rants will have achieved anything. The DivineZ anime will still go on as planned, the characters will still be sticking around, and the fans who do enjoy this anime will continue to enjoy it, so don’t let the words of someone as toxic as some of the My Hero fans sending Horokoshi death threats ruin your enjoyment of this anime. If he wants to continue hating, then let him. It’ll only make him miserable in the end.

I mean it just make sense that Suo beat Akina, since blangdmire really just say "no" to the razael's divine skill. But it also show that the wish they got from winning the fated clash can be misunderstood just like the wish Aladdin can make to the lamp genie, since when i think how Suo says he wants nothing, it just meant that no wish will be fulfilled, you know. Instead of literally erasing the whole 100 meters area...
Maybe the fated one of time might be what Akina needs to beat suo and blangdmire. Like two fated ones in one deck with her ability to help rezael

I notice future Hikari isn't above trying to do something physical to the other participants if it wasn't against the rule. It is also the reason why she didn't try to restraint Akina from going to fight Suo(Like knocking him out or something) or straight up k*ll Suo. Goes to show how desperate she is.

Random thought. Anyone else think talking about all this right next to Masanori is going to bite everyone in the ass next season? I get the feeling confirming to the crazy monk that TIME TRAVEL is possible with the Design Force is likely to lead to him blabbing that to the next person who might make things 'interesting'
guys but this is fantastic. At the beginning there were really 6 cards, but the seventh, Hikari's, was created when she wanted to go back in time to change things and the feather shone. There can be various Divine cards as long as people want something.
Fight between sibling is not uncommon. But involving fate in their fight can be mind blowing. Suddenly I reminiscing the fight between Blaster Blade and Blaster Dark. They share the same "Blaster" in their name but they are not sibling and fated to clash each other. I bet next episode Fated One of Time card will lend its power to Fated One of Miracle and the new card will emerge. Just like Aichi get his Majesty Lord Blaster card. Can't wait to see that

So, I'm just gonna say it. This whole tournament kinda feels like a Holy Grail War from the Fate series. The fighters are the Masters and the Servants are the Fated One cards.
Still, I'm deeply disturbed that Suo just wished for nothing and his wish was interpreted as "annihilate everything around me". Hikari-chan risking everything to stop such a fate is a real tear-jerker. Akino, do your best to stop Suo!

I know it’s probably never going to happen given the fact of being a card game anime but I’d love for the anime to go off the rails and delve into the existential nihilism that I presume Suo must be experiencing.

I wonder if this episode will explain why hikari didnt get in touch with nao. The easiest way to prevent akina from joining the tournament is to let nao beat akina or let nao not teaching akina. arrive not in time? but the masked man appears exactly after the first fight ends right? or she didnt want to break akina and nao's relationship cause they were couple in her timeline? probably not since this in vanguard
If you notice she never went to Nao or Mikoto. Probably because whoever ended up fighting Suo in the final will die and she doesn't want those 2 to die

Also rechecked episode 6? and she said taizo is the only irregular participant ? after taizo fails, she interacted with masanori probably knowing the result showing that she prioritizes akina to not fight with suo
@@winterfenrirfrank1711 I think originally Taizo would have declined participation since we see that he only plays to beat Akina so he's irregular in the sense that he's the only to not participate
In the Future Hikari timeline, Hikari might not close with Nao due to Taizo not participated in Fated Clash (Akina and co. go to Nao's tournament in current timeline due to Taizo's help as well), so Future Hikari didn't contact Nao. Oh and there's also a possibility that Future Hikari didn't know that Nao is also Fated Clash participant.
@@repharos4783 Most likely. She probably only realized who were the other participants after the first fight. Meaning Nao was out (ironically her best bet, as, if she had told Nao to not even teach Akina how to cardfight, there would be more chances for him to just drop out naturally).
Then (with Akina saved... as long as he doesn't attend the fight with Suo IF he gets to the final) she would have probably have to convince everyone else to just let Suo win and don't even bother attend the final fated clash (and let him erase himself from existence)
There might be 12 fated cards. We don’t know what fated cards Hikari opponent used.
Imagine if Hikari's opponents from her Fated Clash were characters from the previous seasons like maybe Megumin or even some of the side characters at Blackout
Probably alternate anime timeline that will not ever be made...
They would probably appear in season 2 since my prediction is that we getting 2 divine skill users per nation

Also, I hope Rezael gets a new form for the final battle!! We've been running short of Grade 4's these past few seasons after GZ and only Megumi has been shown to use Magnolia's Grade 4 form in this series!!

even this batch of Fated Ones are mehh AF, their wishes are kindda not on the same level as Akina's, Suo's could've been good if his wish was to revive his dead parents but we know now he's just an obstacle, not a character

Tbh Masanori has a point, any wish from the heart is a good wish. Not every Wish has to be ground breaking. The cards just the owners cause they relate to them, which is the first time in a while we had the cards actually relate to the owner. @@therranolleo468
just some extra info, it appears that akina is 178 cm tall, now I wonder about nao and hikari height as well. Even if akina wins against suo, I doubt it will not end badly. Many people predicted akina will sacrifice his life but I hope he will at least survive, just that he will be sick only. both siblings living healthy is the best outcome though
I think Suo will win BUT Akina's effort will enact in him the desire to wish for something, hence making anything but a killer wish/ black hole

Maybe akina's wish is to make her sister become healthy. Even in the future her sister still alive but she still sick and often back to hospital

But at the same time (before the revelation this episode flashback), it made akina's wish much less "urgent" as there wasn't a life in risk.

Actually, before that flashback this episode..Akina's motivation was not as urgent, but at the same time it was similar to some other wishes (that aimed to change a lifestyle).

This got super routine to super dark real fast and it's terrifying.

This episode basically tells us what had happened on the first fated clash minus Hikari's interference, Akina loses to Suo and Suo wished for nothing, which Blangdmire understands it as "Oh by 'nothing' you mean nothingness meaning erasing you and everyone here by exactly 100 meters, I see very well you're wish is granted" and basically erases five of the six participants of the first fated clash. (which makes sense since Taizo originally didn't want to participate in the fated clash to begin with until Hikari insisted and again the reason why Taizo knew where to go during the previous episodes.)
Also, I feel bad for Hikari throughout this episode, we see her at her lowest because of losing Akina, especially whenyou see how she was furious towards Gabwelius (literally reminded me when Mirei found out that Nadatsugu was alive) and was willing to phisically harm the other participants to gurantee her victory (Gabwelius stops her from doing so), you can see how desperate she wants her wish to come true to the point that she wanted to stop Akina from fighting Suo even though Akina's reason for participating the fated clash involves her.
One thing I'm confuse about is Suo, dude if you want to erase yourself then do it yourself. This episode really made me question on why would he even care enough to participate in the fated clash if he didn't want anything to begin with, I'm beginning to think that Blangdmire is just pulling him in all of this. One thing that I think will happen if Akina and Suo fight is that by the end of the fight either Akina wins gets his wish come true, or Suo will win again but this time finally finds what he wanted and wishes for that so that both of them don't die this time.
Again, for real this time, next is Hikari(Future) VS Akina, most likely Akina will win and prove to Hikari that he can change fate and make sure he doesn't die this time, and probably some sibbling banter as they fight. As for Hikari's Fated One card it might be the following:
1. Returning one card to the deck and call a card or more from the deck with their total Grades being equal or less than the grade of the card returned for this ability +1
2. Divine skill - Extra turn, simple as that.

If Blangdmire's skill disables all Vanguard skills... wouldn't that also mean that Akina can ride another unit on top of Rezael the next turn?
The main problem is to survive Blandgmire Divine Skill. Suo's certain win pattern is Swirler behind Vanguard and used Igxpelor skill in soul which can boost Blandgmire to ridiculous number. Plus Suo's deck has a card that has the critical 2 attack too.
no you cant cuz the divine skill for rezael states until of this fight. it doesnt matter if it was removed it would still be there so you still need to ride rezael

@@EmityThePianoGuy Actually, Blangdmire disable the player's skills as well which is the reason why Rezael miracle trigger won't work.
Don't know about exact the ruling but I think you can ride a card other than Rezael in that situation since the skill is disabled for the turn.
