Pat Pickens is a versatile and seasoned sportswriter, copywriter, author, editor and storyteller who has been covering professional sports for legacy outlets like AP, New York Times, USA Today, Bleacher Report and others for more than 15 years.
He is the author of the 2021 nonfiction book "The Whalers: The Rise, Fall, and Enduring Mystique of New England's (Second) Greatest NHL Franchise" about the Hartford Whalers.
Pickens is the co-creator of a forthcoming documentary film “The Team That Wouldn’t Die,” on the history of the Whalers that is set to release in late 2024.
