Thanks for posting. Always wanted to see how he played this. It's a pity that the camera pans back just at the most intricate bit. Love the harmonics he adds in. His playing is so distinctive. Notes just curl off in the ether like he's connected directly to the universe. Brilliant.
I have the same video, only it was much clearer, and I used it to chart some of the chords and note some sequences. So I got a general map of the piece by using this video, then one day my teacher gave me complete tab for it, and I learned it and made a recording. There were spots that weren't quite right, but to me were close enough so I was basically satisfied, then I saw there were better, and more accurate ways to do certain parts, especially in the intro, so I revised my version. Played it at a couple of weddings, fittingly, since the changing of water into wine was Jesus' first miracle, which was performed at a wedding feast. My fave BC instrumental, that I'd been clamoring for years to learn.
@@creatndrmr Wonderful! Our repertoires always evolve with us, don't they? Is it too much to hope that you still have the tab?? I would love to see it!
I'm pretty sure this is from a gig at the Forum in Ontario Place in the summer of 1979. I was in the audience that night!
Thank you so much for posting the master himself doing my favorite instrumental song of his! I've forwarded this to several friends.
