Thank you for all your uploads, guys. Your knowledge, insight, humour is always on point 😂. Best cricket related podcast/ show in the world. And I've listened to just about everything. Despite being an India fan, I have also developed a real affection for the Pakistani cricket team, largely down to you two. Pakistan cricket ek alag hi nasha hai yaar! Anyways, commiserations on the tournament and best wishes.
I hate doing this but nothing better to do this morning. Are you saying Shadab’s bowling is linked to Pakistan’s economy? Both were better in 2019 vs 2023. I dread to think about the future prospects for both in that case.
In this worldcup in each of Pakistan’s matches only umpiring was in form. Batting, bowling and fielding was terribly out of form. Bas choti se problem hai no panic required. Ab sirf batting, bowling aur fielding improve karni hai and this team will be world beaters.
Ahmer bhai reminder to post this banger of a theme song as soon as possible!!! It will ease my pain of watching this god damn side exit in the group stage for the 3rd consecutive time
Talent needs selflessness as its partner to achieve greatness. Only then does insecurity go out of the system. Just my thought. Absolutely love the Batta Fast podcast. Well done Bhai logon!
@17:30 Shadab and Many others like him have only one major problem. They don’t look at it as a 10-15 years long career. They seem to be already satisfied with what they have achieved. Look at all the players that have come since late 2000s. Literally 90% fade away in max 4-5 years as the hunger is just not there.
@@WaveRider1989 I think it's the grooming and the management around the player. Just imagine if a guy with Hardik Pandya's attitude is in Pakistani circuit, he will pretty much have the same fate as Umar Akmal.

Somehow AI fed me this video on TH-cam and I watched your channel for the first time. I’ve been following Pakistani cricket for over 55 years and know its glorious cum tortured history inside out. I’m also following ‘n’ numbers of current Pakistani TH-cam channels and Vlogs on Cricket. You guys have a bit of different insight as you add geopolitics and geoeconomics into cricket. It leaves out only the georeligious aspects but it has its own danger while discussing inside Pakistan. All these have different challenges for one, you’ve to be intellectually very sharp and up to date for making your analysis authentic and incisive and two, you’ve to make it simple and interesting for common watchers to digest and enjoy. The danger of analysing and prescribing on Pakistani and subcontinent cricket is the same as of the doctors who attended Covid patients. Some were bound to catch it and perish! Very difficult task before you and best of luck.
Thank you for not talking about the England match. The sooner we all collectively forget about that, the better (Actually I did not even realise that you didn't discuss this topic until you mentioned it at the very end). But I think you should have also talked a bit about the PSL upgrades/downgrades.
nice pod boys, honestly i dont think india will let saudi control cricket or even come close, india has geostrategic clout as well and cricket is a massive money printer, so i definitely do believe the indian govt and the BCCI will do everything possible to keep them out
Barber is a good batsman. He can be better but he has to give up captaincy. He just doesn’t have it in him. I am also not in agreement on your assessment of Baber being the best Pakistan has ever had. A certain Jawaid comes to mind when you mention the best batter Pakistan has ever had.
I do understand that only fakhar can play modren cricket but he is not reliable like rohit sharma. He played only one such innings in the whole tournament. Babar's anxiety is justified regarding him getting out. He plays defensive because he can't depend on the rest of the batting line. Not a single batter have batted consistently. In most of the matches, once he is out rest get bundled up real quick. We don't have anyone thinking like maxwell like ok let me try down the line. I am not a babar fan but I think rest of the batters are getting away since everyone is focusing on the captain.
Fakhar played only three matches in this worldcup and he came good in two of them. I'll take those odds any day over watching Imam flailing like a headless chicken on a cricket pitch for another second
Great show, awesome insights as usual! ❤ my two cents cuz why not apni bharaas bhi tou nikalni hai! Shadab’s regression ka zimmedar Islu utd hai (i know apke friends hain), they force fed him k tum “Ravindra Jadeja” ban sakte ho. Balke Proper batting allrounder batting at #4! Jub k his talent is just that of a swatter, ie mediocre bowling on a good track pe chal jaega kabhi kabhi! Now in an ideal world there’s nothing wrong in developing a player, adding skill to his arsenal! But ye Pakistan hai log ye bhool jate hain… he worked on improving his batting so much so k apni basic strength ko light liya aur bhool bhaal gaya sab! No body develop hui na muscle memory of bowling a consistent line etc etc! . Secondly… I don’t blame my players one bit for their failures, not even one bit! Jaisa k ap logo ne baat ki hai administration/board/plans ki players do NOT stand a chance of improving! Whatever little success we have every now n then is just due to player’s skills (chal gaye to chal gaye) natural god gifted talent with luck involved. Warna system wise we haven’t produced or worked on shit!
