Yeah those early model four strokes got hot really quick.I have an 18 model rmz450 and it has idled for a few minutes and it was ok. If yours is over heating as fast as you said in this video might want to do some looking around ???
A few minutes isn't bad, like on the gate waiting for the moto on track to finish but the 4strokes just run hotter in general, higher compression ratio's, higher revs, you just have to keep an eye on them. 2 strokes have other issues, I have had many bikes of both 2 and 4 stroke's the one in this video is actually my Dad's bike.
