The last set of Hannabachs I used were the 815 silver special High tension. I really liked them. They were on my guitar for a long time and eventually the d string got petty dead and lost its intonation, but the overall sound and feel of them I thought was beautiful.

Hannabach make some of the longest wearing bass strings available. Not cheap but cost effective. I used Hannabach basses matched with Savarez carbon trebles for approaching two decades on a Ramirez 1a. I only abandoned the practice when I discovered carbon strings really chew out frets, requiring me to re-fret fingerboards every 3 or 4 years. Installing stainless steel frets fixed that problem, but now I use D'Addario hybrid sets of nylon/carbon trebles and experiment with bass sets.
- they sound great on my Ramirez flamenco 1970. I also like the Hanabach Low tension and super low tension strings but both those sets are way much money than these, and I find these to be quality Strings.
Hi Alan I might test the Hanabach out after I use the Ernesto pallas by Ernie Ball. So far used the D'adderio for years swithched to the Savarez 540j high tension which I loved and now onto the Ernesto Pallas but first hand got to say the strings feel weird to what Im used to only time will tell if the ernestos will be good but in June Im picking up the hannabach most liekly
