@@markthompson7961 Don't get me wrong, I don't hate my neighbors. If he was on fire I would hose him off. 'I've taken to recording him now.'
This all started because my dog shit on his lawn & pulled the foam out of his wife's riding helmet, I picked up the shit and offered to pay for the helmet. this happened 5 years ago when my dog was a puppy and it only happened once. They have money & live in a log home out in the country, drives a huge truck, with not a scratch on it and he's only about 5' 7" lol he's the safety manager at work with a safety vest and hard had that never gets dirty / hair gelled up all perfect heading to work in his shinny truck.

Keeping the ticks doesn't hurt, since you can pass them over for a lab test if you start showing symptoms. At that point, though, I guess it's more an act of vengeance combined with community service rather than actual relief.

As far as ticks go, I use Sawyer Premium Lotion Insect Repellent with 20% Picaridin which has worked great. No ticks this year, no mosquitoes bites, or gnat issues. I know as we work on claiming back the farm, concerned with the ticks and such that led me to the Picaridin.

Being the victim of uncountable electric fences myself, I laughed at you getting chocked ;-)
Instead of touching the fence directly with your finger, touch the fence with the tip of a grass straw then slowly move it closer, until you can just feel the shock.

That’s a good suggestion! I’ll have to try that.

I grew up in Ct. I miss that 'corner' of the country!!! You are so blessed! You might want to harvest hardwood at least for a year or two as help in start up costs.....i am not a business woman so i dont know but...i do make furniture and noone does wood like New England.

You could use the coop tent for rainwater collection. It is not a huge amount but at least it is lack of chlorine.

New to your channel, just catching up. I saw earlier videos and said man thats a lot of water... and now i am enjoying the idea of moving to tn, where ill be the "farmer" on side of mtn, so no cattle, maybe goats. But now im nervous that my luck will be allergic to duck eggs. But very much a duck pond and place to call home with good internet... so thanks for this. I only question the smell... i hate chicken houses, pig houses, and elephants.

Love the vids. I used to check the electric nets by hand too, but then I splurged and got a touch-free electronic tester. $15 for peace of mind with less pain. For a real kick touch the fence barefoot on wet grass.
