    I have not seen a boring video so far. The first video I saw of yours is mod of installing a hydraulic cylinder for your Kwik thumb (Feb. 2014). I was hooked. Then I went back to your first video and watched them all.
    Thank you,
    Dennis

    The tractor is a great asset to have around. I'm sure enjoying mine. The hydraulics alone make it worth while.

    Cool Stuff! I like how you can change your transmission range on the fly like that. Super handy!

    The only time I get worried is when the tractor starts to slide sideways and I'm 45 years old and been running equipment since I was 7 years old. Love your videos

    One things for sure, with the way the weather is these days, you're probably wise to leave your 'blow-snower' on the tractor. Enjoyed the view on the video (gad that machine is quiet).

      Ohhh no, Bryan. You did it now. Those are curse words in the weather world and Mother Nature was listening *chex forecast for NFL and sees 6-12" of snow and cold predicted* :-p

      Wind... got the same machine almost 3 years ago. Loader and belly mower. It's paying for itself. Had a BX24 and a B3030HSDC previously. Great machines from my perspective. Clearly you're enjoying yours. Good luck.

    OK, now I'm caught up. Today was a slacker's day for me except for a little mowing. Job I was going to do fell through so I just slacked, besides it's 91° out. Been busy for the past week. K-machine did a good job. Birds eye view. Gotta go, more slacking to do. God Bless. Levi~~

      I had to slack off on the videos before everyone got sick of seeing them. The shop got crazy busy too so the camera never came to mind. Glad your busy but that 91 would be terrible on me. Keep well my friend.

    Always good to see your kubota videos i would love to get my M6060/LA1154 next to your tractor and run them side by side for a few days i know that 6060 has a bit more weight @6200 Lbs and Engine is the 203 cubic inch but it would be a good match for me to keep up with you lol

      Cab on a lawn mower!! Well spose you would need em in places like Newfoundland. Or your testicles would spend most of their time behind your ears.

    Fill the Kubota tractor tires with poly fil tire sealer adds weight for better traction and no more flat tires ever I do it to all my tractors even my Kubota tractor it's a rubberized filler that is pretty tuff stuff you'll never turn over and upper management want have to worry just an idea...

    Paul,
    I noticed the absence of a reverse warning signal on your 5740. Is that not required?
    I went back to some videos from last year when you were using the 5740 for snow removal (those videos is how I found and became hooked to your channel) and there was no signal during reverse. I loved those videos. You did such a good job clearing your lanes as well as those on other properties. I like when you used the blade more than the snow blower.
    I like the fact that we don't have to hear that ear piercing beep sound, but was curious that a tractor the size of the 5750 does not have it.

    • @benallan2607
      @benallan2607 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He has it on a switch, so it can be used when it needs to be.

    • @7863348
      @7863348  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I use the blower in some videos because other viewers like to see it in use as well. Ben is right. There is a bypass switch that I put in for the reverse beeper. I only use it in high traffic areas. No point on having it on when there's no risk of anyone being around the machine. There's no laws here saying I must have one on the unit.

    Hey Paul just came across your channel. New subcriber and I am enjoying it. One question I have is in the cab at the lower right you have some sort of box with a digital readout kinda looks like a trailer brake controller. Just curious what it is. Thanks Robert

    • @7863348
      @7863348  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Roberts. Thanks for your sub. The item your seeing is a LED incliemeter. You set it up and it beeps when you've reached the danger point in tipping over. Keep well.

    Nice tractor. I assume it is not made today. What is today's Kubota equivalent of this tractor. I'm looking for a tractor to help me clear about seven acres of brush/forest/bush.

    • @7863348
      @7863348  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Michael. No this tractor is a GL5740 from the 40 series. The newer 60 series would be it's equivalent. The exact equivalent would be the GL6060. It would be a great tractor for your needs and if you add a grapple then you got a perfect set up. Thanks for watching.

    How are the little stick trees doing that you and Kathy planted along your border last year? I could just barely see one in your LH window @24:42 and it didn't appear to have survived. :-( Do you plan on smoothing out the ruts and holes made with another $$$ load of the red stones again or just going to leave it be as dirt?

    • @7863348
      @7863348  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Every little tree is budding out. Trees in Newfoundland take years to grow big. Those trees will really start to grow now. They needed a year there first though. What you see in these videos is really the the roughed in part. It will look a lot better when completed. Stone of some sort will be laid down to stop the mud from coming up.
