- Each year, Bluegrass Week at the Augusta Heritage Center of Davis and Elkins College, Elkins, West Virginia, brings together some of the finest bluegrass artists to perform and teach. Here Murphy Henry leads the all-star ensemble in an excerpt from one of the week's concerts.

I was a drummer with the John McClaren, Scottish dance band, but old man time has caught up with me, so at ninety I play my jaws harp.I thoroughly enjoy playing to your fabulous quick tempo music. I see this girl and her band playing this song every so often, and when I do, I have to hear it from start to finish!! What a great song. And Wow what talent in her entire band! All women. All Very Talented in how they Sing and Play!!

That just made my day....! But, let me say Kathy Kallick has one of the most amazing singling voices (except maybe Vince Gill) I have ever heard. I just keep playing this over and over as I can't hear it often enough.
IMHO, she's one of the great underrated singers in bluegrass--and a hoss on rhythm guitar!
She has a gorgeous voice. You can tell from just a few phrases of song.
