Cecil and Golbez's conversations are the biggest heartbreakers in this series! Cecil wants his brother back by his side, but Golbez knows that he's done some awful stuff and can't forgive himself, to the point he doesn't find himself worth his brother's kindness or the light.
I feel like 4 was a rather underrated game when you compare it to 7...Though most games ARE rather underrated compared to 7...Except maybe 13 and/or 14. /shrugs

While I understand not all of the events of the two cycles we play though are shown, its still a bit jarring to go from Cecil not remembering Golbez at all, to having his memories intact for the last cycle. That being said, Cecil's is one of my favorite storylines out of the original two Dissidias, thanks again for doing this series.

I personally found it kinda amusing how Cecil seemed to be one of the only heroes that Kain didn't slay in 012, despite Kain pretty much defeating everyone from the OG story for the next war.

30:14 I like this cutscene simply because it’s a conversation between two different iterations of Spider-Man, as James Arnold Taylor and Yuri Lothenhal (Who voiced FF10’s Tidus and FF4’s Cecil) both voiced Spider-Man in numerous Spider-Man video games.

What I don’t get is why Cecil’s a Paladin in Cloud’s story mode when hes supposed to be a Dark Knight throughout the game before becoming a Paladin in the Cecil Vs Golbez Cutscene? Not just it but Cecil’s still a Dark Knight at cutscenes after his story mode, and the only time we see him as a Paladin is either a cutscene from 012 or the the final FMV cutscene.

In Dissidia Cecil can switch between Dark Knight and Paladin at will. At the very most the only plot relevant thing about him being one or the other in cutscenes is as an indicator for his mood.

@@96ace96 Not just that, but what’s supposed to happen is that Cecil starts off as a Dark Knight in the game’s story, but once his story’s complete he’s stuck as a Paladin for the remainder of the game’s story.

@@ShockwaveFPSStudios That's in the original FF4, not Dissidia. Cosmos may have given him the ability to change back, or perhaps he was always capable of that but simply chose not to do so because his Dark Knight job was so interwined with his sins and guilt. Then, when summoned, he didn't remember much, if anything, of his original world and life, and thus he simply switched whenever one job was better suited to the situation than the other. The last explanation is the one I prefer.

Yeah, I called that inconsistency. Whatever it is, Square definitely didn’t think of that when adding more content to Duodecim.

@@kasam0308 How do you figure? Cecil switching between the two jobs is an inherent part of his combat system in Dissidia. He does it all the time.

33:35 "I Won't Let You A Lay A Finger On Him!" Ooh, That's Gives A Yandere Vibes For Cecil, Right?
