@@dminger1 Thank you, I was studying this on Algebra 1 Khan Academy, but you explained this very well. I'm studying this because I'm going to America soon and I'm 15, so I figured I'd study Algebra 1 stuff. Do you know if it'll be a problem for me getting into school 3-4 months after school started? (School starts at Aug, I'll go before first week of January)
      Thank you.

Hi as a 15 year old you will be placed into an algebra I course as a 9th grader more than likely. Most districts will more than likely give you a placement exam to see at what level of program you should be in advanced vs regular Ed. So I would definitely study your Algebra I material as it more than likely will be a part of your placement exam as well as operations with fractions

    • @goosebumps1334

@@dminger1 Okay, so if you don't mind I'll list what I understand alongside some questions that I have.
      1) I'll be given a placement test to find what level I am at.
      2) I will be placed into 9th grade
      I have a few questions:
      1) If you don't mind could you please take a quick scan through Algebra 1 from KhanAcademy and see if it follows a good teaching curriculum. (Not the lessons, just units)
If you have time, no worries though.
      2) Will it affect my GPA at all that I joined school in January? (Either early or mid Jan is what I predict. Due to just moving in delays)
      3) Do you have any clue what concept/lesson they might be at if you're teaching in school? So I can know what I'm delayed at.
      4) Do you have any idea what these tests will just test me at? English, math, science? or the entirety of their classes?
Sorry that I'm asking for a lot, but you're the only person who's in this field who has actually responded. Thank you by the way.
P.S (RN I'm studying Linear Equations & Graphs, next unit is Functions)

what makes a disjunction and conjunction inequality no solution or all real numbers?

    • @dminger1
      @dminger1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

A disjunction, ie Or inequality, can have all real numbers as a solution if and only if the following occur. X< a or X> b with the condition that a>b.
So an example would be x1, because the solutions of each are independent to one another. The solutions to x1 are not restrained to having to be less than 6, thus all positive values are also valid solutions. Meaning all numbers from negative infinity to positive infinity are solutions, ie All Real Numbers. Since there are no restraints of one solution imposed upon another you can never produce an empty set as a solution, ie No Solution
As for the conjunction, And inequality, the solutions of one inequality are dependent upon the solutions of the other. For this reason the Conjunction inequality can have empty set for a solution, ie No solution if the following scenario occurs. If xb with the condition that a
